Hobbyking Sport Jet 70 920mm w/servo, motor & EDF (ARF)
The Hobbyking Sport Jet 70 is a superb performing EDF for sport aerobatic flying that is made from tough EPO and is easy and fast to assemble.
The specs on this great looking jet are impressive, the EDF unit is pre-installed as are all the quality servo's, assembly is basically bolt together with only 2 small parts to glue in place and of course you will need to add your own ESC. The fixed landing gear is very strong and of course optional, this means the Sport Jet 70 is suitable for any flying field.
Sport jet's are about performance and aerobatics and the H-King Sport Jet does not disappoint, there is plenty of thrust from the fan unit for big loops and precise control for those jet aerobatics, knife edge, 4 point rolls and so on are all in easy reach with this great performing model. This jet performs so well and so predictably that we would reccomend it as a first jet for the intermediate pilot, it has all the right qualities for a fast, fun day at the airfield, just don't forget to pack plenty of lipoly's in your flight box, you will need them!
Specs: Wingspan: 920mm Length: 1100mm Flying Weight: 1040g EDF: 70mm with 2839-3000kv Brushless Outrunner Servo's: 9g X 5
Requires: Your own 4 Channel TX/RX 2200mAh~2650mAh 4s Lipoly Battery 50A ESC w/BEC
Hello, pls help how to programme Turnigy 9X for controlling 2 servos at elevators. One servo connected to CH2 and another to CH5 ? Anyone try this before? TQ
IN STOCK, DONT BELIEVE HOBBYKING IVE BEEN WAITING MONTHS AND THEY SAY WAIT MORE WHAT A JOKE THIS COMPANY IS,,,,,ORDER ONE AND YOU WILL NOT GET IT THEY JUST INVEST YOUR MONEY AND MAKE THE CUSTOMER WAIT TILL THE CUSTOMER ASKS FOR MONEY BACK THEN THEY MUCK THE CUSTOMER AROUND FOR ANOTHER WEEK, JUST CAUSE YOUR ORDER PRODUCTS HERE DOSENT MEAN YOU WILL GET THEM,,,OHHH AND WHAT IF ITS FORGOTTEN YOU WILL NEVER GET IT,,,, IM CLOSING MY ACCOUNT GOLD CUSTOMER MEANS NOTHING TOO, I DONT KNOW WHY THEY BOTHER PLATNIUM OR GOLD WE ALL ARE BEING RIPPED OFF.
You can simply add a plush 80amp esc and a Change sun 10-bladed fan. Not only is it faster, it sounds awesome. amp draw is 65amps and Speed increase is about 25% for around $55.00 US
Or you could use an alloy DPS fan (I use the 5 blade type, doesn't sound as cool I suppose but more efficient) Turnigy Plush ESC, I have a whacking big 4400mAh 4s pack squeezed in there and even carring that kind of weight, performance is excellent.
I will admidt that a 5-blade alloy fan unit will draw less amps, but power production compared to a 10 blade unit is a joke. Just check the direction of the high end fan manufactures.BVM? new Bandit 10-blade fan. 10-Blades.New Fanjetsusa Fan? 12 blades. newest hobbyking Alloy fan? anyways... cell count down, fan blade count up.Efficiency up, and jet sound, definately up.I currently have 14 all up ducted fan jets from a Twin 90mm Fiberglass Hondajet to a BVM Bandit to a 36" foamy vampire.and trust me you wont be disappointed with this set up.
Hi all
Was looking at getting Habu then I noticed this
Looks very similar .....size is the same ...
anyone know how it compare's to Habu ? (its a lot cheaper)!
its an amazing plane. key things that set this jet apart from other are: the moving parts are all pin hinged. the landing gear can take a beating (i have been bouncing this plane on the ran way all day long). the supplied servos are great and accurate. Plus the battery tray. this is a great jet trainer plane it flies in really slow even with a 2650 4S battery.
This is actually a Rebel clone, but actually designed better in my opinion. it slows down great and easily upgradeable to fly circles around the stock Habu.
Can I put the Habu EDF System (Delta V15 69mm 3200kv) on this jet and use a 4S 3300mAh nano tech batt? There is enough space for this battery? The Delta V15 EDF system will fit?
Thx!
You can use the EDF Delta V15, but you will need to modify the fuselage so that between the intake. The hollow of the battery measured 160x45x35 mm, if you enter the 3300 nanotech batt
on the bottom of the fuse across the wing. justt cut the decal at the seeam if you need acess. itook the decals off and airbrushed instead they are **** anyway
markus* this looks the same as *********** rebal 70.they hand launch it. for 1 st. one get some one else to throw it . not up!! but like throwing a dart. harold h.
Hi there, rather learn to do it yourself as you have the control. It need 3/4 Throttle and just give it 30 - 45 degrees and throw it firmly maybe dial in a little up elevator just in case. Good luck
Hi. I using Alloy DPS Series 68mm EDF unit with 3580kv Motor and Turnigy nano-tech 2650mah 4S 35~70C Lipo Pac.
Maybe next summer I test 5cell LiPo and take off landing gears...
Hand launch is easy
with 5s lipo you get no more speed, your flying time is only longer (1 a 3 minutes) When you want to fly faster you need an other type edf motor with bec! Greetz marcel
sry sarge the rating if this motor is 3000Kv Kv=rpm per volt.. so on 4 cell 14.8v *3000 = 44,400rpm on a 5cell 20.1v *3000 = 60,300 rpm more rpm more speed. I have flown my Meteor 70mm on 4 5 and 6cell batts (video of 5cell on product vid tab) and the speed gets notably faster on the higher volt packs :}
HTH
I own 3 meteors from stock to 125mph beast. This airplane has very similar flying charactaristics.I will say the foam on this model is a bit more dense and the gear makes it handle a bit softer on landings.I love my meteors but this is a better over all model.
Vweru nice plane but the recommended 4 S is not enough. At this voltage the power is very low. Mine needed some 100 meter for take of and then crashed into a building as it did not climbed high enough. It was repairable and next flighted I tried 5 S - worked great and both ESC and motor could handle this voltage with no problem. I even tried briefly 6 S and it worked OK for a minute or so. I stopped becasue 5 S is more than enough for me. Plane is very forgiving and easy to land.

I have purchased 2 of these. The first one crashed within the first minute. Ok I was trying to fly in wind that was 15-20 mph. The second one has flown wonderfully as long as the wind is at or below 5-7 mph. I have had quite a few edf's and as a rule they don't mind the wind but this one does. When the wind is low it's great, it flies fast or slow and the landing gear is the best I've had on an edf for soaking up the bumps 5 stars for that. I tossed the stock motor and fly with a 70mm metal alloy dynamically balanced edf rated at 6s(Rated at 1900 grams thrust). What a fun jet to fly at a low cost if you already have the upgraded motor and edf. I fly with a 2650mah 6s 35c Turnigy and a 80 amp plush esc with separate bec. With this set up onboard GPS says 103 mph flat and level with no wind. It has unlimited vertical. It's not a Habu 32 but I could buy quite a few of these for what I have into my Habu.
