If you're serious about your quad-copters performance, then look no further than the NX4008. Built with high-end 45SH magnets, a high pole count and custom motor mount, this quad-motor is designed purely for multi-rotor applications. The NX-4008 includes a built in prop saver for GWS style props and a built in aluminum mount for quick and easy installation on your quadcopter frame.
This is not a modfied aeroplane outrunner. It was designed from the ground up for quad copters.
Specs Kv: 620rpm/v Turns: 16T Resistance: 0.129Rm Idle Current: 0.8A Can size: 45mm Can Length: 14mm Shaft: 3mm (Includes Prop saver mount for GWS style props) Suggested ESC: 30A Rated Watts: 180W Weight: 79g Cell count: 3~4S Lipoly
Can anyone shed some light on a problem I'm having with motors on a quad. If you touch any two leads on a motor, it creates a circuit with the magnetic fields in the motor, causing the motor to drag on the magnets.I have a HK x650f that I'll be using 4008 620kv motors on. There not here yet, so I mocked it up with motors from a crashed ***blebee. all four motors bind up on the magnets until I pull the leads. I'm confused.

1 thumbs up!
THEY HAVE ARRIVED!!! i havnt wired them up yet but have started building a new frame and am working on the wiring harness as we speak :)
they are wider but shorter than a DT700 wires are thinner but flexable compared to a DT700 windings are standard hobbyking but do look very neat on most "coils?"
at a 1st glance the motor mount looks like part of the motor base and i cant see any easy way to remove it :( this may prove to be a problem time will tell (is there a way to seperate the motor from the mount so we can build mount into model and just swap out the motor? or will we have to remove the whole motor to replace?)
i personally preffer the C clip that comes on the DT700 as they feel easier to work with so that might be another thing that could be changed?
for the lift this motor will generate and the prop it uses DO NOT USE O RINGS! i put Orings on my dt700 quad AUW with lipo 1.3kg an Orings kept snapping :( then u used zipties and kissed that problem sweet goodbye ;) i saw this because there is LOADS of room to ziptie a prop right on the motor bell below the 2 Oring mounts ;) this will be much more secure and you will be able to lift more weight this way ;)
also of interest it seems that if you were to drill 6 holes in a wooden/GF/CF motor mount plate (you will know where to drill holes when you see it and i will make a video once i build mine) it would be a simple job

For $31 you would think they could have included some screws. Being M2.5 not M3, they are not exactly a common size.
Very fragile, I wished the made it a bit heavier, and more robust. Well Balanced, but bad Bearings, need to be replaced soon. some run noisy out of the box. Shafts are quite soft, bend on any ground Contact. Spare Shafts would be URGENTLY needet. Also a good Motor for a FPV Pusher as it runs very smoothly. No good for Planes where the Prop easily touches the Ground, here this Motor wont make you happy. I use it on 4s with GWS 3Blade 1065 Props
