I have the durafly corsair and want to upgrade to a four cell rocketship. I tried a 1000kv 780watt turnigy with a 65 amp esc turning the stock 4 blade. Motor gets smoking hot. Do I need more wattage? Would this motor solve that problem?

Will this be ok for a durafly trojan?

I think the G&C motor in the stock Durafly motor is superior. I put the Durafly 10x6x3 prop on this motor and gave it a 3S battery for testing - it drew only 38A but was very hot to touch. It's supposed to handle up to 60A but I think this is questionable.

How many poles does have this motor?
 AIRDAN 13 points
looking for photo - 14
 pair-a-dice 37 points
How can You tell by photo how many poles there actually are?
 AIRDAN 13 points
I simply joke.
There are no engines with 14 poles.
Looking for photo, poles more then 12.
Because in one stator hole see three complete pole.
More than 12 are 15 or 18 poles.
Probably 18.

there're exact 12 poles, but anyway, thanks. and no more joking. :]
 AIRDAN 13 points
You have this engine or you only think that it have 12 pole?
 pair-a-dice 37 points
I have one. In the beginning I thought that poles can't be just counted, like You did, because I'd read about the BL Motor poles in one forum, and there guys were talking about some calculations, and it seemed to be much harder to tell how many poles does a motor have.

Yes, exactly my set up. Great vertical performance and 12 mins on 2200mah is possible.

1 thumbs up!
Utilisé sur easyglider pro. Avec variateur 40A. Génial, en 5 secondes le motoplaneur est à 150 mètres. De quoi passer tout un après midi avec une batterie 2200mAh 4S.

Another great S-Line motor..HK probably overstated the wattage again but still a top-shelf powerplant. Would like to see more cooling slots at the stator base but haven't had any heating issues running just below 600w.
