The AXN Floater jet is a perfect model for beginners. Its stable flight characteristics and forgiving handling make it the perfect platform for learning to fly. Unlike some models in its class the AXN Floater-jet comes with ailerons right out of the box. This is a critical control surface that all budding pilots should master.
Constructed from strong EPO foam with a high gloss finish the AXN Floater-Jet is capable of achieving high speeds in a small amount of space or gliding around gracefully on the breeze only needing throttle to gain altitude.
The predictable flight characteristics, low wing loading and pusher prop also make the AXN Floater-Jet an ideal platform for FPV. Using a smaller battery such as a 1600mAh to 1800mAh 3S1P will allow for additional payload in the front of the aircraft and make finding the correct CG without having to add additional tail weight easy.
The suggested motor and 5x5 propeller offer both performance and flight time based on your flying style. You will require a 2100kv Brushless outrunner, 4 x 9gram servos, a 1600mAh~2200mAh 3S1p Lipoly battery (depending on payload requirements) a 20Amp ESC and your own transmitter and receiver (Tx/Rx) to complete this model.

Motor is not available in the german warehouse. You must order it in HK or UK but only with ESC must work to order it in German Warehouse. I know it because i had the same problem :-)

kann mir jemand sagen, welche Motor-Regler-Luftschrauben-Kombination gut an den Floater-Jet EPO passt? Ich hab nicht besonders viel Ahnung davon. Was ich bisher nur weiß* ist, dass der Motor mit 4 Schrauben befestigt wird und ca. 2100 Kv haben sollte. Die Leistung sollte fü*r leichten Kunstflug reichen, aber es sollten auch noch lange Flugzeiten mö*glich sein.
Auß*erdem sollten die Teile auf Lager sein.

What I know is that the motor is fixed with 4 screws and that it should have 2100Kv. The power should be enough for light acrobatic flight but long flight times should also be able.

Seh schö*nes Modell. Alles sehr passgenau, Bowdenzü*ge und Rumpfhä*lften bereits verklebt. Dekorbogen ist auch schon drauf. Mit Multiplex vergleichbar oder sogar besser! Fliegt und segelt sehr gut. Gefä*llt mir besser als der Bixler, duch die Luftö*ffnungen und die aerodynamische Form.
Allerdings hat man im Rumpf wenig Platz und die Querruderwirkung ist zwar ausreichend zum steuern aber nicht brauchbar um Rollen zu drehen.
Schö*ner Feierabendflieger, als Kameraflieger oder fü*r Bodenstarts im Schnee. Mein Gewicht 575g mit 3s Nano-Tech 1800mAh
I have one and it works fine as a motor glider take it up to 200 ft then cut throttle works nicely that is with a 2200MAH battery inside so its quite heavy so i would say yeah it would work but make sure that the CG is good with smaller battery as the 2200 balances it up nicely :)
Which motor should i use , if i want a little more power / speed as with the Stock-Motor ?
it would be very nicq if the motor fits into the original bearing without "great" modifications.

best engine you can fit is Turnigy D2826-6 2200kv Outrunner Motor. It fits in the original mount but you would need to epoxy it(mount with stock engine already breaks apart).
yeah that brushless ive seen people using on some forums with this plane. The plane hobbyking sells with motor and esc comes with a 2100Kv motor and 20a esc
I have to agree with the guys asking for heavier and more unique planes.Anyway why don´t HK stock a suitable motor in the DE-warehouse,then it would make a little more sense. Speaking of motors how big a prop can the fuselage accomodate?(Yes I know the 5x5 are included!) Mike.
Very nice plane, forgiving a little mistreatment by a beginner like me. Deformed foam after a crash can be put into original form by applying hot water ;). Be sure to flex the control surfaces before the first flight, they are very stiff. I added 3mm in washers under the bottom screws of my motor mount to reduce tendency to nose down when increasing throttle. Using a D2826-6 2200kv motor, TGY 6x4 propeller, Plush 40A ESC (behind the tail servos), Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 25C battery all into front of the nose after widening the battery slot it balances well. (recommended CG is about 55mm behind leading edge but your mileage may vary) Sehr gelungenes Flugzeug, dass auch leichte Misshandlungen von einem Anfänger wie mir verzeiht. Verformungen durch Abstürze lassen sich gut mit heißem Wasser wieder in die ursprüngliche Form zurückbringen ;). Die Ruder vor dem ersten Flug einige Male von Hand durchbewegen um sie leichtgängiger zu machen, denn sie sind sehr steif. Ich habe ca. 3mm an Unterlegscheiben unter die unteren Schrauben meiner Motorhalterung angebracht um die Tendenz, die Nase nach unten zu nehmen, wenn die Motorleistung erhöht wird zu vermindern. Mit einem D2826-6 2200kv Motor, TGY 6x4 Propeller, Plush 40A ESC (hinter den Servos), einem Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 25C Akku ganz in die Nase geschoben, nach einer Verbreiterung des Batterieeinschubes liegt das Flugzeug ziehmlich gut ausbalanciert in der Luft. Der für mich passende Schwerpunkt liegt bei ca. 55mm hinter der vorderen

Ausgezeichnete Qualität. Besser als das Original. Wer gerne einen Easystar mit Querrudern und in besserer Qualität als das Original sucht, ist hier richtig.
Ach der Bauaufwand ist geringer, der Rumpf schon zusammengefügt, die Bowdenzüge verklebt, alle Decals schon angebracht. Die Passgenauigkeit aller Teile ist optimal, die Rauaufteilung im Rumpf sehr durchdacht, Zubehör incl. Luftschraube, Servosplitter für Querruderservos, Servoverlängerung - alles mit drin. Auch bei Übermotorisierung stabil in der Luft und fetzig zu fliegen. Ein optimaler Trainer auch für Anfänger. Wird bei anderen unter verschiedenen Labeln deutlich teurer angeboten.
