EPO 182 With LED Lighting (PNP)

EPO 182 With LED Lighting (PNP)
EPO 182 With LED Lighting (PNP)

This tough EPO Mini 182 PNP is packed with features that will appeal to both the new and experienced pilot. The powerful motor and large SF prop combo give the 182 plenty of power when needed but also excellent slow fly capability and the pre-fitted flaps will ensure low landing speeds. Other features that make this neat scale model easy to live with include a linked steerable noseleg, which is sprung to help with less than perfect landings and a huge magnetic battery hatch.

The Model requires no glue to finish, simply bolt on the tail and main wing, connect the flaps, ailerons and wing nav lights (the nose-lights are pre-installed) and you are ready to go! Simply connect to a 6 channel reciever and install your choice of Lipoly battery.

In addition to all the scale detail, Oleo front landing gear, landing & nav lights and flaps, you can also install the optional float set for yet another dimension to your flying!

No reinforcement would be needed. And I would refer to the planes manual to find the plane's center of gravity and use it to make sure the plane stays balanced.

If you cut so you can fit a 2200 mah battery, do you need to re enforce the body? And since the plane is tail heavy would fitting a 2200 mah battery fix that?

First flight was survival mode as it nosed up so bad, managed to bring it down with mimimal damage. Extremely tail heavy, no instructions come with it and nothing under the files tab- anyone know the COG?
 Mike 1 points
As with most planes cg is usually around 1/3 of width of wing from leading edge. This is a good starting point
Dutch_joop  2 points - 3/22/2013

I have the Turnigy 1.3 (1300mah) the benefit is the wires com out on one side and have the same contra connector to the plane. I fly about 13 minutes on one charge. Loading with the Imax 603 will take 1 hour
Mikkel  4 points - 3/15/2013

can anyone show me a video of the plane???
zulkifli  1 points - 3/15/2013

 praneeth 9 points

good second plane?? after an axn?
James  8 points - 2/20/2013

mightybubble, In regards to the plane rapidly climbing with flap extension, try lowering the airspeed before deploying the flaps. The flaps dramatically increase lift and wing angle of attack the higher speed you go. As flaps will change the characteristics of the aircraft, try practicising with the flaps in slow stable flight with plenty of altitude. Watch out for stalls! I would suggest a no-low throttle setting while in a moderate descent for landing to compensate for drag.

I read the battery connector is Deans style. Can anyone recommend a 1300mAh lipo on this site that has the right connector? I can't seem to find one.
 Davis 21 points
I have the same plane and there was a XT60 plug on the speed controller. I use the turnigy nano-tech 1300mAh battery.

how can i buy floats?
 ken 1 points
click on acc. at the bottom of the ad and the floot ad will appear order by part number
Archibaldo  13 points - 12/7/2012

What is the best baterie for this plane? thanks.
 Nick107 106 points
it just fit 1300 mah batteries, but if you are not going to use floats. You can remove the portion of foam where the front floats gear attach to the fuselage and it can fit 1800 to 2200 mah

which 6 channel TX/RX is suitable for this plane 1 or 2
 paul 66 points
personally i like the $pektrum tx mode2 with the micro rx for my small planes but any tx/rx combo with a smallish reciever will work
 CrashAce 797 points
If your looking for something cheep but versatile consider the Turnigy 6x or 9x.
 paul 66 points
yes i have been thinking about picking up one of those turnigy 9x tx/rx are they any good , i also heard someone mention there may be a new model of the 9x coming out , have you heard anything of that
samantha  3 points - 11/27/2012

does it come with a charger

Hi, anyone can help me? My aileron n flaps angle like got some problem when fully left or right my transmitter stick. The wing ail or flaps up or down only less than 10degree should be at least 45 degree rite? I already set the control horn to the bottom hole so the movement will be great but still the same with other holes? Please help. Thank in adavance
 Juan Carlos 17 points
Hello, I can help you with your question The problem I have is that the wings do not reach 45 degrees, only reach 10 degrees, you can configure the radio programming for the servos have a greater angle, keep in mind that the larger the angle, is to make acrobatic moves aggressive, Greetings

I just received this plane and a set of floats. The floats come with a water rudder. The manual shows the water rudder connecting to a shaft that sticks out of the bottom of the plane. The manufacturers site (e-do) also shows this shaft in their pictures. This shaft is connected to the rudder of the plane. My plane does not have this shaft. Am I missing something?
The float set came with a chrome shaft that looks like it was supposed to be made into the planes rudder.
Does anyone else have one with the shaft?
 Juan Carlos 17 points
Hello, I can help your question First you have to make sure you do not miss any part of the floats Compare what you have with this www.link this video looks as some improvements of the www.link

Just received this plane yesterday.
Facts so far:
1) Delivery: Rate: 9/10: It took 3 weeks to be delivered in my address in Portugal. It has been subject to customs check in Portugal (reason for the delay) and VAT/rigths were paid accordingly.
2) Packaging: Rate: 9/10: HK is used to ship things and therefore the plane was very well packed and protected. 0 scraches.
3) Quality of plane: Rate: 8/10: Pre-assembled items are OK.
Just miss 2 magnets (1 in the hatch and other in the nose)...
The screw holes (2) in the wheel covers are not in the right place. No problem, just used 1 screw!
4) Instructions book: Overall rate: 8/10: Short but concise. Anyway, it is a very simple plane to mount!
5) After sale: Rate 4/10: It seems that HK does not sell spare parts for this plane, except floatings and propeler. It would be good to have wings, tails and nose cover...

Note:_ I haven't flyed with this yet. I'm waiting for the tx/rx and bateries. After flightds I will come back to re-evaluate!

I am a park flyer and only fly rc plane order 1m, i have been flyng now for 6 year and now almost at expert level,(3D Hovering, harrier roll etc)i love this mini cessna and think i would add it to my collection but with this plane the first day i put it together i crash it,because of its size it need a lot of speed to stay airborne, because of its tiny aileron it need a lot of air flow to make a turn hence the reason i crash, i would not recommend this to a very Bigginner

Hi, I received today, Well packed. The airplane came intact! No missing parts. The assembly is very easy. Main two holes of gear covers doesn't match but I used only one screw. The engine came a little loose ( I just screw the engine again, no problem. The stickers seemed to be putted in the hurry, on the wing tip was not well putted. The instructions are good, but should be better. I will fly it later and I will put my impressions of the flight.

Received this plane last week. It looked good, but i had two problems:
1. the battery plug on the esc is female, and so are the plugs on the zippy LiPo battery's. I replaced it with a male one.
2. I couldn't get the flaps working, and found out that the flaps servo is broken. Will be difficult to replace because it is glued to the wing.

I also noticed that the rudders/ailerons are relatively small. First flight due for next week, so i hope it will fly well.

AS mentioned before, this is no beginner plane. It needs lots of speed due to its small wing size. I used the floats and they are not any good for this plane. They do not support it very good in the water. A slightly larger set would be good. The plane needed over 100' on the water before taking off!! I am going to try a different prop or motor but I really think new floats are needed since the floats set very low in the water.
Further testing will be forthcoming!
