these are good batteries in proper use i do not recommend using in a traxxas with the Velineon VXL because they recommend 25c discharge and if these can provide enough u can cause a fire in your rc car. but good battery for other brushless systems
Wow I used a 3000mah 20c lipo in my stampede vxl for over a year and never had problems. The battery never even got warm! They have to recommend way higher than the actual minimum for liability reasons - they give a high enough value that there is no chance of a battery fire without something else being involved like a short or puncture. If you use it, just know it's limits and it'll be fine. The main problem is fitting it into the battery compartment.
It is only recommended to charge at 1xC or 5 amps. You can get away with charging at higher amperage rates like 6 or 7 but you must monitor the battery temperature as this can be dangerous. It is also better for the batteries longevity to charge at slower rates.
I managed to stuff them in my 1/10 summit. The front of the battery compartment would clip shut tight, but it was a real pain to get the rear clip shut, they're pretty wide and the wires come out the side. For the money it was worthwhile, but I bought others after.
hey guys, i have bought two and put in my traxxas summit 1/10 it fit perfect for batteries box on traxxas summit. but the wire 10AWG is little bit big but i still ok, and u should solder traxxas connector

These batteries are (I have 2 of them) already 1 yr old, have many cycles on them, car and airplane, and they are simply awesome! Run them in series for Waco bipe, pulling 50 amps or so and get 10-15 min flights, runs car for 20 mins or so.....excellent buy!

VERY disappointed. I purchased 2 of these 5000mah, 2 nantech 3s batteries and a 4s turnigy 3000mah. the 2s have tops 5 cycles on them, balanced each time, BOTH are dead, onyx charger wont charge them anymore cuz they are too low in voltage. getting like 1v from the whole pack. the nanotech, 1 took a dump in after using only once, swelled up and almost destroyed my $500 traxxas spartan boat. Will I buy again, highly doubt it.
Im going to stop buying batteries from HK. One balances perfectly and charges back up in 45 minutes. The other takes an additional 20 minutes to balance out. Both packs are used same time 4S2P
