Why is it i can get this Cheaper in E bay ,than in Hobby King its self ,but Yet the same Seller ,HK .Only a few Left at a discounted price >now only a few ,As i got 1 ,now in The Hobby kings,E Bay ,.$10 cheaper ,..
I was flying this with a 35-42 1100kv and 4s 2200. The battery needed to be right forward inside the motor mount and even then some lead was needed. So if you can get the 3600s far enough forward it should balance without lead.
I was very pleased with it and was getting to have some real fun when I lost it due to the canopy falling off when inverted and losing the RX battery due to my mistake of relying on velco.
Assembly instructions are a bit lacking but it does make a nice model when you so
your right ,And can Make for a good Model,it looks Better than the larger Pitts ,I just received Yesterday ,And The Faults And Missing Parts was a Great let down,i was Moast disappointing to See the sticker stuck to packing and bits ,on opening the Box ,I see there was no care to what was sent ,not a worry to the extent of prior damages sent to me .I got a seconds with out a Doubt .Front cover Is All broken ,. Makes Me really wonder ..But i found Many parts from Wing Bolts To landing gear Bolts All Missing ..
35 42 motor i meant to say ,is what im using daily good 3D extreme crashed 1 time and now its rebuilt stronger ..

1 thumbs up!
Fast delivery overnight to nsw, well packed and no damage. All parts are well built, but not go together easy. Manual is good for a guide, but far from detailed and assumes you have good idea of how to assemble planes. Best tip is watch out for the order when assembling the tail section - best thing to do is a dry run before gluing. Biggest issue with build was with fitting top wing, found the ply guides slot in at wrong angle... Cg=1" botton LE

Recieved 3 days, Mine was tripple boxed !! no damage, read manual throw away... Ailerons were warped, straightened by pressing and heating film used ball joints and 3mm CF rods on trailing edge for Aileron coupling. As previous post angle of wing struts wrong reshaped with dremel, then filled in voids with two pack. had to get a lot of weight forward, used the recommend motor but an 85A Trust Speedy, 12x6E prop 3300 3S battery, pulling 730 watts in the aircraft ! Battery is mounted on top of engine structure entering from cockpit, canopy locks it in ... dropped spats used largest wheels I could but QLD rain grass too long keeps having a rest on it's back when landing. Setup high and low rates Low Rates, Elevator up down 13mm, Aileron up down 9mm high rate Elevator U/D 25mm Aileron U/D 15mm. Floats on 1/3 throttle, full aerobatcis on 2/3 overpowered but cool at full .... I'm enjoying it.

Just finished building my pitts earlier this week, had maiden today and everything was perfect! I had a Turnigy SK3 1000kv motor and a 60A ESC with a 13x6, pulling 67 amps and 858watts... battery was a 3600mah 4s 30-40c discharge.. I knew it would pull unlimited vertical, I wasnt disappointed... had a bit of a problem with prop clearance but didnt stay on the ground long enough to worry me. First flight was a little tail heavy still... I flew around as it was until the battery went on me and added I think 40 grams of lead to the cowl... Went up again, and it was perfect! Its a rocket ship, stopped everyone at the field just to watch it... price is good! But its quality shows its a cheap plane... I got lucky, no wing warping, slight fuselage warp near the tail but wasnt bothered about it... Ailerons are slightly warped, but didnt make any difference. Cant wait for a more calm day to try again.. Its very light at about 1.7kg... Battery is a bit difficult to place in and out. But overall I couldnt be happier. :D

After Now Getting both The 52 inch and now the 42inch ,The build Much stronger Naturally as Its a midget .And with the 2 wings ,Assembled ,the Next Thing I do Is Make A wire Cross supports As the Original Planes do Have the ADDITIONAL Wires ,This Makes for A really Extra strong Braced Wing set ,.Using Fishing wire Trace ,and A few tension pulls you can Create The Look Complete ,with the Strength to Take small Crashes and Bad Landings ,Extra support brace Additional Heat glue Pumped around wooden parts to Gain strength on undercarriage Joints ,Heat glue all Joints In Cockpit for this additional Strength .and Flexibility .The 1000mm sbach and extra and Built the same class scale ,great Performers And ready to Move Your Quality Parts on to , Goodbye EPO ,,>

Nice looking plane!
Cons - Missing 2 ply wood connectors to attached wing to brackets, wheel cover wasn't painted, and the manual that came with it is USELESS!! Honestly throw it away, I got more detailed information looking at the photos on the HK website.
Also 9g servo's wont fit inside unless you modify it, I'm using the Hxt 9g in the wings which will be fine, but as above the Rudder and elevator will need bigger servos if you don't wish to modify it. Ive purchase the 17g with base width of 33mm its a little big but I am happy to file away a few mm. All in all a nice looking plane! 5hrs in and almost half way through to finish.
