The number one in performance, value and price!
The new Turnigy® Lipoly packs deliver 100% capacity and a true 20C.
You wont find a better deal in Lithium Polymer batteries anywhere!

Why are our batteries so cheap, yet deliver the full capacity and discharge rate?
The answer is simple; we make them ourselves! Yes, Hextronik Limited* now mixes the slurry, bakes the foil, stacks the layers, injects the electrolite and packs the packs. All in it's very own humidity controlled factory in Guangdong (China).
When buying a TURNIGY® 2200mAh 20C you are buying a pack direct from the manufacturer. Thats why our price is so low!

Can we get some of these in USA warehouse please?
 Zathrys 2 points
This battery works just as well. www.link may want to check your amps to make sure you don't overload the motor or ESC.

need to get batteries in stock for usa ware house
nlmbc  627 points - 4/13/2013

Is it me or dose it seem that the US warehouse seems to have alot of lipo batteries out of stock ( backordered ). checked 4 different cell count batteries I want to get and all are bo at the moment. will cost over $50 for shipping for the batteries from HK total 36000mah 4s, 3s and 2s packs. HK please restock the other WH with batteries to help us out with the lipo flight issues.

I agree with EricD. I too think the height and width is reversed. Can anyone verify this?
 1stAidan 122 points
Yes, the dimensions are reversed.
 T 4 points
Correct, the table has reversed data. Great batteries.
Larry  4 points - 3/25/2013

When are these going to be in stock?
Ronnie  23 points - 3/19/2013

What esc connector is on this if any
 Gary 3064 points
This battery comes with the XT-60 connector.
EricD  2 points - 3/18/2013

is the height and width measurements on this battery mixed up or is this battery really wider than it is tall? the reason i ask is because other lipos i have bought are usually taller than they are wide and the plane i need this to fit in has a limited battery space
Harold  5 points - 3/18/2013

How would this be for DJI Phantom?
 1stAidan 122 points
It would be fine.

Hey guys, I'm a bit confused how to use two batteries with two motors. Do you plug one in on one ESC and the other battery on the other? Can someone please tell me how to do this setup? And if that can not be done, how do I run one battery on two motors? Thanks
 Gary 3064 points
It is best to run 2 motors on one battery,if you have a seperate battery to each motor one may run out before the other which will give you problems.Make up a Y harness which will link the one battery to both speed controllers and this will work fine.

 William 199 points
Thanks Gary. Lots of soldering! :)
 David 16 points
Also understand that twice the amount of motors means it is going to draw twice as many amps. This 2200mAh 20C battery can handle a maximum of 44 amps. The formula is Capacity x Discharge(2200 mAh x 20C)=44,000 mAh...or...44 amps. You need two ESC's no matter what setup you go with. You can connect a Y-harness to them though.

on a 1800 mah -3s 11.1v 20c-30c, 13 awg ec3 .
What is the difference in the 20c and the 30c? Also what is the 13awg stand for. Thanks from a beginner
 dumz_rc 3 points
Awg, is the thickness of the wire. The lower the number the thicker the wire. 13awg is more than enough for this battery or a lipo battery. Ec3 is the type of connector. This comes on most planes made by Eflite, Hobby/parkzone. And the higher the C rating means the more punch it'll have. 20c is more than enough if you are just flying a park flyer. But in short the higher the number the more power/punch. Hope this helps.
 William 199 points
20c and 30c are discharge ratings* the higher c-rating, the more punch and power. Low c-rating batteries can puff after a shorter period of time than higher c-rating. Purchase regular Turnigy batteries and then compare it with a Turnigy nano-tech (very high c-rating). Huge difference. What aircraft will you be using it on? Good luck.
 Stephen 102 points
The "C" rating determines how many amps can be drawn continuously from the battery. This is important as you want to pick a lipo that can deliver the amount of amps your motor/ESC combo is drawing from it. So if you have a motor/ESC combo that has a 80amp draw, then you need a battery that can supply that draw. You figure this out by Multiplying the "C" rating by the "Mah" of the battery to give you the Amount of Amps the lipo can deliver. So for an 80a ESC/motor combo you would need at least a 40c 2200mah lipo (40c x 2.2Ah = 88amps). If your ESC/motor combo draws more amperage than the lipo can deliver, then the lipo will get hot, puff up and be destroyed. So make sure you pick the appropriate "C" rated lipo for the application your using.
Marshall  1 points - 2/9/2012

At what C rate can you charge this battery?
 R/CNewbie 3816 points
2.2C just divide the capacity by 1000... :D
 runner1514 1 points
No more than 2C. The higher you go the more wear on the battery so keep that in mind. You are better off getting 2 and charging them slower if you want more run time.
 Peter 73 points
2c. which mean 4.4Amps, thats what i charge it at and it is fine, also once any lipo starts warming up when charging, lower down the charging rate(amps)
 elspod33 1 points
I have been charging at 1 amp with no problems
 geeze 9 points
I have seen some complete articles on this simple process. I use an old fashoned wooden close pin to hold the pins while soldering. The cloths pin is held in a small bench vice.
 Justin 42 points
2c = 4.4amp charge or 30 min time to fully charge it :)
 kenneth 16 points
i charge mine at 5 and it does fine for me
 Kelcey 2 points
I charge it at 5C never had a problem, been doing it now for a few months.
 helimech 1 points
4-4.5 amps works for me. Lower is less stressful on the battery
 brookfreeman71 5 points
I would recommend charging at 1c. That puts WAY less stress on the battery. The slower the C rate for charging, the longer life you should have on your batt.
 James 1 points
2.2C max!
 Pumpkinheaddelux 127 points
I have charged them at 5c! There so cheap I don't care if they don't last as long!
 Foxito 17 points
Charging a battery at 5C its capacity is very risky, and it's not a matter of price and that not being concerned about how long it lasts. It's a matter of personal safety, a Li-Po battery can get on fire and even explod if expose to extreme charging rate, fire, wire, or oxygen* causing property damage, or worse, personal injury. - Safest way: Slow charge at 1C. "It's better to lose a minute in life, than life in a minute".
 Pumpkinheaddelux 127 points
I think there's too much hype on lipos. Some batterys you can charge at 10c with no problem! 6 years of lipo use and I have never had one blow up (while charging). But always use caution and never charge them unattended. I always charge in a flame proof area with a bag. I don't have the patience for a 1c charge rate.
 Pumpkinheaddelux 127 points
No bull, I was just charging a 150 mah 3.7v for my micro planes and it freaking popped! I was charging it at 2c with an HH charger. LOL not but 2 hours after writing the above comment.
 Stephen 102 points
The max charge rate listed for this lipo is 4C, so you could safely charge this at 8.8amps (4C x 2.2Ah = 8.8A) without I'll effect. Lipo technology has improved a great deal since the old 1C charging rule. Almost every new lipo can safely charge at much higher rates, just check the manufacturers maximum charging "C" rating for the lipo your interested in.
 Pumpkinheaddelux 127 points
Thanks Steve! All this hoopla about never charge a lipo faster than 1c is bull. 5c for me! But never leave a lipo unattended while charging!

I want to buy your 2200mAh 11.1V 3S1P 20C LiPo pack to go into a Hobbico Sensei trainer. The Hobbico battery recommended for this trainer has a "SuperTiger" female connector. Will this fit with your battery or do I need an adaptor and, if so, what kind. As you can probably tell, I am very new at electric RC flight so I will very much appreciate any help on this subject.
 Samuel 5 points
The connector that comes with the Turnigy 2200 is an XT60 connector. It will not match the connector on your hobbico. You will need to change your connector on the hobbico to an XT60.
 dudeman 18 points
or you can find adapters-the part # for the one you should need is(SKU: 602B-601A), but is much easier to replace connector in plane

Search HK for the following item. It is the same as the Supertigre connector. Make your own adapter or change the mating end to match what you have.

what kind of end is on this battery(plugs into esc)?
 rodasjr01 4 points
it has the 3.5 bullet plugs (banana connector)
 Mark 21 points
Mine came with the XT60 connectors. It might be worthwhile to pick up a pack of 5 male and female connectors. They're easier to work with than deans.
 Rx-R-1 12 points
Mine came with a female XT60 connector. I bought an adapter to go to a bannana plug

XT60 connectors
 zanek 96 points
Mine came with the Hobbyking XT-60 connector. But it is really easy to get off, just cut the heatshrink off, and unsolder it. it solders like a deans conenctor
 srt8madness 47 points
XT60 connectors. All HK batteries come with the XT60 connectors, so if you buy several you might want to buy some xt60's for your esc's.
 Evan 3 points
I was easily able to remove the connecters and replace them with deans
 daniel 7 points
No banana connectors on this one. I just received 6 and they all came with xt60s on them
 Honkwomp 1 points
One thing that I have found is HK batteries are larger and heavier than many batteries for the capacity. Please be aware that this increased size will effect the flight characteristics of the plane
rccfanatic  34 points - 7/23/2011

Will this battery fit in a cessna 182 foam plane
 Mark 21 points
Which one? It fits my Flyzone 182 EP (not the select scale) and it fits with some modification to the battery box. It is a very tight fit, though.
 Matt 1 points
Will work fine, you may have to change the connections depending on what your plane has now. I usually change all my planes to DEANS anyways. You'll see about 4min more flight time out of it and slight bit more power. Your plane will love it. 25C version link below: www.link
 srt8madness 47 points
It will be too big for the 38"wingspan 182, but will fit into the 1.5m cessna 182

I love the pop up on the right.. Yeah..What a joke ... Warranty Other stores will force you to ship the product back to China in full retail packaging every time! Hobbyking's warranty service is professional, fair and fast..How if you can't get a hold of anybody ?
 PaulGT3 20 points
I dont have a problem using EMAIL to get ahold of them at cs@hobbyking.com. It may take 3-5 days but you really have to have patience with them. They are pretty busy and they help the best they can. Especially with us in America.
 reece517 7 points
I didn't have a problem you just have to be patient
 jjbeamish 9 points
trying to fix that...
 byrumjr 277 points

The pop us is misleading. If just means you do not have to keep the full retail packaging or box it came in but you still have to send it back.
 Beakon 87 points
This may be true but, do you know how many people they sell to every single day. Busiest on-line RC store on the planet, or at least very close to it.
 hbdouglas 12 points
ya the batteries are great and you dont pay that much for them.. so if you get a bad you get a bad one..
 3D pro 1981 3 points
What every one has to think about in this material is one yes there batteries are a lot cheaper than thunder power and other brands out there in the RC world. So if you order one and it is a bad one you can do one of two thing work with them in getting a replacement. Or just buy another one because there really not that much money. If you think spending 40 dollars or less for a nice lipo battery your in the wrong hobby my friend. As for not being able to talk or email and get a response right aw
 SturdyflyerS40 11 points
I have had minor issues with the Turnigy Standard lipo batteries such as minor swelling after 10 hard 3D flights but i have never had an issue with the Turnigy Nano Tech batteries they are amazing!!! i have a Mini Funtana with a 480 outrunner, it halls! and vertical proformance is incredible with the Nano tech, i can pound it for a 15 min flight and land with cool batteries and the very minimum voltage i ever had was 3.6 volts per cell.

just keep trying man. They are super busy! They sell a TON of stuff every single day.
 hbdouglas 12 points
just keep calling is my answer.. eventually you will get a hold of them!
 A7Xfan94 1 points
If I were you, I would call, e-mail, and chat frequently to hopefully get an answer as fast as possible. Don't stop, I'm sure they will contact you some way or another if you contact them multiple times.
 zanek 96 points
They are busy, just keep trying. It is frustrating, but eventually they will answer. I have also heard that going onto your payment method (Credit or paypal) and disputing the payment gets you attention because they don't wan't to lose your/their money.
 BobDbc 27 points
I had good luck with the live chat page. Be as detailed as posseble with your information and ask for very specific instructions for what you should do next. They will respond and resolve the issue.
Willyt  5 points - 2/23/2011

For the SR-71, you recommend the 25c, but wouldn't the 20c 3s 11.1v 2200mah work better.
The battery space of the airplane is very limited and most of the batteries in 25c are too big in size and weight.
 dwvabeach 66 points
20c and 25c are physically the same size. Typically size is more determined by the mAh of a pack as you need more cell space to get longer duration.
 dudeman 18 points
you may need the 25C discharge rate for an SR-71 but you could step down in mah to a 2000mah or 1800mah as mah is basically how much flight time you have, while C-rates are how much discharge
 Lowrider 34 points
The excess weight is more than made up for by the extra power.
 reece517 7 points
C rating has nothing to do with a batteries ability to "push" power. Your esc pulls as much power from your battery as needed to run your motor. I'm sure you could use a 20c in place of a 25c it really depends on how many amps your motor is pulling
 Willyt 5 points
the battery i got with the kit from another hobby store is 2800MAH. i cant find one with that amperage and size. anything bigger just wont fit. the 2800 only gave me 5 minutes of flight. i am thinking the 2200 will give 3-4 minutes at best.
 Willyt 5 points
is the turnigy better than the zippy?
 hustjona 55 points
Check it with an amp meter. If it is pulling more than 44 amps continuously then you may need a 25c which will give you 55 amps.
 hugocraft 375 points
Do the math, a 2.2Ah 20C pack can handle 44amps and is your ESC smaller than 44amps?
 A 6 points
If you can fit a 2200 in the SR 71, do so. Otherwise, you should stick with 25c, no matter, even if you can only fit an 1800 in there. 20c may swell over a short time. The motor may be too demanding in the SR 71.
 jjbeamish 9 points
These are 20-30 c rating. Should be fine. under full throttle/load you may hit the 30c but it is rated for 10 sec
 Beakon 87 points
You can run a 20c Just don't be giving her full throttle for too long of a period. Difference from 20c to 25c is only going to be in the 85-100 throttle range.
 3D pro 1981 3 points
You should be fine with a 20c battery because a 20c batteries burst is between 20 and 30c. On the other hand there would not be a big differents in the size of them two batterys so its really all up to you!!! Hope I could help!
 Elitepenguin1- 5 points
the 25c is how much juice the fan sucks out and is needed

 Beakon 87 points
Has their XT60 female connector on it. A great connector actually. So order some male XT60 connectors if you want when you get it.
 3D pro 1981 3 points
They all come with what they call a banana plug. But if that is not what you use the I cut them off and just solder my perferd end that I use on it.
 Justin 1 points
They use a deans style connector called the xt60. I replaced the end on my esc with one of the xt60's and all batteries I order have this on them so they all fit on arrival.
 A7Xfan94 1 points
This awesome battery has a yellow XT60 plug, but if you want to, you can cut it and solder any other kind of connector on it. However, you must know what types of connectors will still be able to hold the charge in because putting an incompatible plug on these batteries can cause them to explode.
 Theish0ish 1 points
yes, with xt60

What gauge is the wiring on this battery? Will i be able to solder a ECX e-flite connector to it?
 flycap93 22 points
It is a 12g. I have had trouble useing e-flite connectors on this battery just because the wires are big. Use deans and you will be fine.
 Paul 6 points
Yes but it is messy. I would recommend that you get one of those adapters the Hobbyking lists on their site to go from EC3 to XT60 rather deal with soldering. Or better yet replace the EC3s with Deans
 Andy 5 points
Mine came with E-Flite style connectors already installed. Wire appears to be 12 gauge.
 Andyb71 1 points
12 gauge and you should be able to. Get some heat shrink to insulate them well.
 Peter 73 points
its 12 gauge, whickh means this is a serious battery. I think you can solder any connector to it but look at the wires and plugs section first for an adapter, they're not that expensive.
 Dan 2 points
It is a tight fit but should go on OK. May I suggest XT60 to EC3 adapters. I am very satisfied with the ones I received found here: www.link
 betts 1 points
Yes, but you will have a little trouble with the soldering if you not patient with it. Let the solder flow.:)
 reece517 7 points
It's 12 gauge wire. I don't see why you can't connect it to a ecx its just positive and negative. hope this was helpful
 Beakon 87 points
12ga and yes you can.
 3D pro 1981 3 points
yes you should have no problem doing that I have done that for other friend with them batterys and it worked out fine!!

I have 4 of these packs now. I ordered two almost a year ago, and have used them in helicopters and airplanes both. They deliver consistently and predictably, and even after a year they are on par with the two I just purchased - some slight puffing on the older packs is all. Great battery!

1 thumbs up!
Took two days to get here with Priority Shipping (to Louisiana)! Nice! Mine were also shipped with XT60 connectors. I swapped them to Deans, since that's what's on everything else I have already. They were both balanced well, one at 3.86V/cell, the other at 3.87V/cell. I charged one, than discharged it, then balanced it. It's gave a bit more than 2200mAh on the first cycle, I expect them to be some good packs, especially once they get a few cycles on them and "break in". As long as what I need is in stock, Hobbyking's USA warehouse will be my go-to place for LiPos! I wish you'd stock small items too. I could have grabbed some HXT900 servos, servo extensions, battery connectors, etc. with this order, but I had to go elsewhere for them. Shipping is either too expensive, or too slow for small items that I need fast when it's coming from China.

I have purchased two of these packs from the USA warehouse and they arrived very quickly. XT60 connectors by default, but I use Deans so I changed them out and kept the XT60 connectors for when I eventually make the change over. Both packs took a full charge and exhibit good characteristics.

I use them in my Trex 450 for sport flying, in the Durafly Cessna 182 and my home built SPAD. Great packs for the price.
