ok guys im really thinking of getting the apparition what i would like to know is i already have a traxxas spartan so i am wondering if i can use the esc made by castle vxl-6s marine in the apparition also will it work if i get the turnigy 3659 90mm 1900kv motor will this ecs run it and what would be the best battery to use
hey there so i looked at the vid and i love it right now i have a traxx spartan running all stock i am using 25c 11.1v 3 cell lipos 8400 mah and i love it its fast but its not fiberglass so im looking to get something new and i find these battery to cost way to much any ideas ?

I am sorry to see this problem, however, this is NOT the place for this, you need to be chasing the people that lost the boat in the first place.....the carrier.....we will sort this out but protocols have to be followed and investigations concluded, please co-operate with CS and lean on the carrier responsible for loosing your model.

I purchased this and to my disappointment was sent an ARF Spitfire. HK support has been awesome but now I end up with a refund instead of my boat. I am ***med but happy with customer support being so responsive and helpful.
So I ran this boat for first time today . Turnigy 180 amp marine esc with stock motor . Octura 442 prop . On 4 cell it ran awesome ! I noticed the engine being a alittle hot (ran about 7 min)and not much water in cooling lines . I made sure that nothing was clogged and let sit for a bit. then out 6 cell in it and holly cow fast is all I can say ! But ran about 3 min and shut off. I thought maybe went into thermo but I some how got it back in but the motor was cooking ! :-0 it seams as I was not getting water through for some reason but everything is clear . Am I suppose to be doing something differ ? All the vids I saw nothing was mentioned and many people use this same set up no prob . Now I need a motor and would like to purchase the same motor but don't see one on here ? And help would be great !
Hi,I don't run the water lines through the water cooled motor mount,just the motor jacket and the esc.If you hook all three to water pickup I was getting NO flow also.Just hooked up the two and plenty of water was exiting.It is just to much back pressure with all three hooked up.I have no heatup problems since.As for the motor just look for one the same KV and I also went to a 3674 size,36mm diameter and 74mm long(stock is only 60mm long)for more power.Im running a 3674 motor 2350Kv on 4s with a 45mm grimmracer prop,and Im getting a very dependable 60MPH plus.Hope this Helps.JK
Yes you have to pull the motor and it will come right out.It is a 2 piece drive system,the prop shaft will stay in the boat.I reccomend leaving the motor tight when you do this then when you put it back in it will be in the same position.The prop shaft has a square female end and the flex has a square drive end,I soldered mine because im using a very powerful motor.(63 MPH).I also use only GrimmRacer Graese,It is the best grease for flexshaft applications.Hope this helps.JK.
You just have to take out the main cap screw with lock nut that adjusts the strut up and down and you rudder linkage and the whole strut will come off.Then remove the prop and drive dog.The propshaft will then come out.The prop shaft has a shoulder on the backside so it will only come out one way.JK.
If you want a goo deal on a boat you should get one.With my setup I'm getting 63.4 mph before flip over.This is a good hull,I have several HK boats and this is the best hull yet.Quality,clearcoat,and hardware placement.Have purshased 4 of them and no leaks.
Thanks for the information. I was trying to decide between this and the Genesis. I think the size of this one actually fits the water I have available to run on better. It's going to be my first RC grade boat so any input helps.
It has a much higher Kv,the stock one has 1620kv.This one is 1900kv and has a lot more power.I use a 2450kv 3674 motor on 4s and I get 63 plus mph.Hope this helps.JK.
Where can I purchase a drive shaft, holder and prop for the Apparition 1107. Not listed on the web page and am getting the runaround with support. All spare parts should be available somewhere.
All replacement parts are under boat tab parts,then electric boat parts.Its a 4mm flex shaft, rudder strut assembly,and a 40mm prop.All in electric boat parts section.Hit boats,then parts,then electric.Hope this helps.JK.
The description says it requires a esc but everyone that reviews the boat makes it sound like it has a esc, im confused? Does this boat require a esc or not? Thanks
It used to come with an esc but it doesn't anymore so you should order one and if I were you I'd order a 180 so you can upgrade the motor later 120 is right at it's limit even with the provided motor btw mine came with an esc but it wouldn't have lasted long in a hull this size
Chinese New Year starts around Feb14 this year. If you order just before then you will expierence a country that takes a month off at "New Years" nothing... nothing.. happens besides celebrations during this time. It's just the way it is...

why am i paying 65$ for shipping if this is in the us warehouse this shipping thing is really getting old trying to figure out what the hell is going on whats up it is giving me overseas shipping rates the prices are the only thing keeping me shopping here at this point and it is getting to the point where it is not worth the trouble i would rather pay a little more and be able to understand exacly what i am paying for

I have had this boat for sometime running it with different batteries multiple times first run was with a 3s 4500 turnigy nano went around 30mph ran it for 10 minutes still had some juice but don't think the esc has a low voltage shut off. Second was with two 3s 3000 turnigy in series and let me tell you it was fast a least 50mph ran it for about 7 minutes the motor and esc where warm but no where near hot only broke the plastic prop it came with easy fix turnigy props fit it perfectly i bought the 42x29x15. Third run was with two 2s 5000 turnigy in series with the new prop it goes around 40mph ran it for 10 minutes a little warm but nothing to worry about i will stay with the two 2s in seires i have two 2s nano coming cant wait 50c discharge rate over the 20c i have right now so that will add some speed all i can say is this boat is really nice hull is great esc and motor i have no problem with but sooner or later i will buy a new esc the motor seems great and tough i also only paid 1 cent for shipping hobby king you are the best.

bought this for my wife over the summer. she got tired of video taping my boats and wanted her own. only thing is the esc that is stock is a little slow to respond. funny to watch the boat jump almost out of the water and then my wife jump at the same time....lol. others wise boat handles great thank you hobby king. how about a few other boats to the USA ware house.

This must be a joke, I have waited for over 2 weeks so far, and still no stock. Paid for it 2 weeks ago, but still waiting, oh well, patience is a virtue I guess. I will give an update, if and when I ever receive this boat.

I received the boat from the US warehouse in less than a week. It arrived in perfect condition. The fiberglass is nicely laid out and the paint finish is outstanding. The motor looks fairly decent to me. I purchased the Turnigy Aquastar ESC 120A to power the motor/servo. In my opinion the boat is a great deal, it is much less expensive then competing models. I'll update the post after its maiden voyage :)

I have had this boat now for a little while. The hull itself is very nice ridgid fiberglass, the lid fits perfect. The hardware is nice as well but on mine the rudder/strut assembly had many loose screws so check all screws on the hardware. I never ran the stock motor. Replaced with a 3674 1900kv. Running th hk ss 125 amp esc. 2 turnigy 2s 5000mah 30-40c batts in series to give me 4s1p. Using an octura x442 metal prop. With this setup the boat hauls!! Prob mid 40's on 4s. Motor runs cool but esc warm at 125. I would recomend the t180 or hk ss 200 esc for this boat rather than the 125... Overall great boat.
