30C is the genuine rating of which the battery will hold voltage well above 3.4v Other vendors claim their packs to be 30C when in fact they are not. Based on other vendors calculations this would be a 40 or even 50C pack. All TURNIGY packs are resistance matched.

The c rate is different for each battery/ lipo. It usually stated on in the manuel and/ or the battery itself.
check www.link you can say:
C equals the capacity of the battery. Thus, if a battery holds 5000mAh, 1 c would be 5A.
If a battery holds 7000mAh, 1 c would be 7A ( and so on).
Important: Usually lipos shouldnt be charged with more than 1 C ( check instructions), wherefore the Discharge C rate can be upto 90C, depending on the Lipo and what the instructions says. The discharge c rate also give information of the "burst" or "power" a battery/ lipo can give to the esc or motor without being damaged. E.g., if your motor needs 100Amps to work at maximum efficiency, you need a battery which can deliver 100 Amps. In this case, lets say you have a 5000mAh Lipo, you would need a discharge rate of at least 20C.
max charge is 2C, so 2 times the battery capacity, in yur case 2*5000mah=10A. However i wouldn't charge them with so much everytime. Best settle for 1C charging, in the case of this battery it would be 5A.

I use 2 pieces accus in my Traxxas Summit. Very good pack!
I upgraded my Summit with Turnigy TrackStar BL system.
After 45 minutes game with car, I charged 4500mA in the accus.
All cells was equal, 3.72V/cell.
Five stars!
