As the title suggests, how do I acquire the build instructions and CofG details for this model, which I received the other day? It may be straightforward for those already in the know, but I am not one of those.

1 thumbs up!
Pros: Truly a phenomenal value. The glass fuse and wing tips are amazingly beautiful. The wings are straight and the covering is perfect. Cons: The fin is not quite straight. Hopefully I can heat the fuse and correct it. The glass wingtips were packed at the end of the box as if they were cushioning for the fuse, and the left wingtip was partially crushed by the nose. The servo covers are sloppily cut out. The person doing it doesn't know a flange is needed for the screws. All in all easily five stars for the value.

I ordered my DG1000 on Dec. 4 2010 and recieved it on Jan 3 2011 ,just under 30 days to recieved it . I drove to the post-office to found out that it was sitting in the mail room since Dec. 20 2010 and they sent me no notification telling me that it was even there ,I guess the postal service must have been really busy with christmas cards to miss that big box! Anyways I opened the box and everything is in perfect condition, the wings ,rudder and horizontal stabilizer are perfect and the film covering is flawless, and the 2 DG1000 decals are allready guilded on the wings and has a clear coat over the decals. The fiberglass fuzelage is a Beautiful sight inwhich the decals are all ready guilded or installed and has a clear coat over the whole fuselage, below the rudder has 2 out lets on each side of the rudder for a pull-pull linkage setup but has no wire for linkage. The things I dont like are the servo covers for the wings are cut to short, Ill just cut some out from some clear business cards that I had, and I used a dremal tool with a cutting wheel to cut slot for the servo arms, in actuality its more aerodynamic then the original! 2nd, are the wing extensions, That they extend out to the winglets then turn up 90 degrees, they should be at aprox. 60 degrees so that when they are epoxyed in place and the wing extension outer ends are raised 20 degrees they wont be turned inward

THIS IS A CONTINUATION... So the winglets wont be bent inwards towards the fuselage, I used a dremal tool with a cutting wheel to cut 6 slots or slices 3mm. apart at the outside of the 90. degree bend between the wing extension and the winglet, its hollow fiberglass, you have to cut the OUTER fiberglass side from the leading edge to the trailing edge 6 slots or slices in a row to make room for the 60. degree bend then fill the bend with 5 min. epoxy and bend into place at 60. degrees and hold for until cured, then after hardened sand then paint. You will have to be experienced, for the Instructions are vague, NOT for amateurish, or beginners. When completed, everything fits together perfectly, A Beautiful Sailplane , Cannot wait to fly it! I give it FIVE STARS.... HAPPY FLYING!!!

Hey STRAIGHT UP, Living in So. California I live close to some of the best places in the world for slope-soaring looking over the ocean with cliffsover 120ft.-150ft.high. There is one spot called point fermin that has a shape like a quarter round venturi and in the after noon you have an average 40mph. constant breeze blowing up the cliffs, Sometimes that breeze really picks up and you have to add a 1/2 to3/4pound of ballast and she fly REALLY FAST. I like flying 250ft. above me than point the nose straight down and she'll come down pretty quick whistling past me dropping below the deck 100ft. or 15ft-20ft. above the ocean as she is arcing back to straight up position at an amazingly high velocity of speed and when she reaches close to the top 250-300ft. above me, I'll pull an inverted half loop and straight back down to do it all over again and end with a hammer head. When it comes to landing I'll circle behind me, line her up, deploy the flaps a little at a time and she'll slow down nice and easy landing on the grass. On days were I am at flight field I just install my electric CMPro 70mm ducted fan power pod with an 80amp esc and 5S2500 40 battery and in a matter of minutes I'm climbing looking for thermals. I really like this glider it's AWESOME! I like flying fast and I'm looking foward to buying an AWS-28 asm with flaps when they restock the USA warehouse.... HAPPY F

Hello Ron I had the same problem at slow speed about dropping the left wing then I try to correct the problem and I over compensate and drop the right wing,
she likes to fly fast and starts to have problems at air speeds below 15-20mph . Also she could be a little tail heavy and be a little squirrelly. Write back and let me know the conditions you are trying to fly in ...Cheers to you Ron and Happy Flying !
