FrSky DJT 2.4Ghz Combo Pack for JR w/ Telemetry Module & V8FR-II RX
FrSKY ACCST technology is proven, approved by many model associations, tested and reviewed as the leading Chinese 2.4Ghz R/C Technology. If you think DSM2 or FASST is the best, think again! New FrSKY ACCST (Advanced Continuous Channel Shifting Technology) gives you secure radio communicatios in 2.4Ghz band. ACCST 2.4GHz system shifts 80 channels around hundred times per second in the 2.4GHz band. This means that the system is completely resistant to interference in that band.
Features: Advanced Continuous Channel Shifting Technology (ACCSTis our advanced tecnology it shifts channel hundred times per second and there is no signal conflicts and interruptions) robust frequency agility. Easy to bind and very fast link-up. Excellent reboot time. True Diversity with two antennas. All channels can be programmed with Failsafe, quickly and easily. Quick and extremely stable in performance. Precise and smooth servo response. Extended range (1.5km-2.5km).
FrSky DJT is compatible with JR transmitters following: JR: 347, 388, 783, U8, PCM10, PCM10S, PCM10SX, PCM10IIS, 8103, J9303, PX, 9XII, 11XZERO
Receiver Specification: Operating voltage: 3.0~16V(HV Version) Power consumption: 30mA Resolution: 3072 Latency: 22ms Number of channels: 8 Range: 1.5km-2.5km Dimensions: 44 x 24 x 14 mm Weight: 9.3g
There is no sensors in receiver except RSSI (Reciever signal strength indicator)
So you need to buy all you need. But if you planning to go FPV way this way of telemetry via RX to TX transmission is obsolete... I prefered no telemetry RX/TX combo and 5.8GHz RX/TX for camera video with OSD board, to have all flight sensors data overlayed over video.
Hi All,
I received my FrSky Tx/Rx module. A DJT and a V8FR-II ( no telemetry ).
I had to dremel out the back of the case of the V8FR-II so that it would fit into the 9x, but now it fits in.
I am unable to get it to bind. I assume that the problem is that I am doing something wrong, so I will try to list everything that I am doing in the hope that one of you can point out what I am doing wrong.
1) On the back of the DJT I have switch 1 off and switch 2 on.
2) I have the output from my esc connected to channel 3 of the V8FR-II. White - G, Red to " " and Black to "-".
3) I have a servo attache to channel 6 . Orange -G , Red to " ", Brown to "-"
4) I press the button on the back of the DJT and turn on the 9x. The led on the back of the DJT flashes Red.
5) I Press the F/S button on the V8FR-II with a toothpick and connect the battery to the esc. The led on the V8FR-II flashes red. After a few second I release the F/S button. The DJT continues to flash and the ESC beeps every 3 seconds.
I then disconnected the battery and turned off the 9x. Turned on the 9x and connected the battery again to see if I got my 3 nice beeps. No luck.
This is according to the FrSky instructions (at least as I understand them) but it does not work. I tried some other things like connecting the battery and then pushing the F/S button, but it did not work.
What am I doing wrong?
Hi, this module V8FR-II have telemetry? That information will show on the radio? I would put a Turnigy 9XR. Thank you.
This says it is configured and does have telemetry.
***********frsky-rc****/ShowProducts.asp ?id=124
INFO: How to put V8RF-II into binding mode respectively
D_Mode (Telemetry):Connect Ch1 & Ch2 signal pins of V8FR-II by provided jumper and then connect battery to V8FR-II directly (no need to hold the F/S button on V8FR-II)
Then does have telemetry or not? confuses me ...
Nope, V8 without telemetry.
If you want telemetry then go to D8 series.
(compare prices at least)
My personal opinion is that this way of telemetry is obsolete colution... If you are aiming on FPV
then OSD can give you much better telemetry then this way.
If you are suppose connect to flight controller connection then FrSky D4R-II 4ch 2.4Ghz ACCST Receiver (w/telemetry) (ID: 236000009)
This is lightweight solution with PPM out for all 8 channels.
Or you can get FrSky D8R-II PLUS 2.4Ghz 8CH Receiver with Telemetery (ID: D8R-II ) for traditional all 8 channels.
With addition of FrSky DHT 8ch DIY Telemetry Compatible Transmitter Module (ID: FRTEL )
this is not bad way upgrade turnigy 9x
(just replace tx module board inside stock tx9 module )
Module supports, but this RX not.
You need D8 series RX for telemetry.
This pack : FrSky DF 2.4Ghz Combo Pack for JR w/ Module & RX (ID: DJT) has RX with telemetry
Got Vmax, thanks for the clarification, now includes my email notification on arrival. However, do not intend to make the purchase and wait, because if takes to get in stock, but I'd rather pay double to buy it in Brazil (I'm here).
Yes, sure, good antenna will increase the range.
But omnidirectional antenna do not give too much advantage. I'm plannig to use cloverleaf antennas with radial (not spherical) diagram.
If you are not planning acrobatic flights far away it's very good for plain flights.
But do not expect doublig of range anyway.
Without buster you hardly can hit over 3km.
Doubling range requires 8 ( 2 pow 3 ) times more signal level. Only high gain very narrow directional antenna can give such result.
You also have an option to enter your email and
press "Notify me when it arives" and wait for email.
But as I see HK restock items often enough
For my experience average may be 10-15 days or so.
But you may not to even see it available
because first HK fulfill pending orders.
And remaining if any appears here as available.
Ok, I have a DJI Phantom, and I'd like to switch to the 9XR with the FR Sky DJT combo here. Problem is I cant get the V8FR-2 to connect to the NAZA unit. The rx is green like its bound but wont do anything. I am using the wires that were connected to the stock reciever, to plug into the slots on the rx. I tried all 8 slots and I'm out of options.
First, just plug servo in RX and check.
Second.. with servo check that all 5 channels (you need 5 to connect NAZA) responds to sticks
and one is correctly mapped in TX mixer to switch of your choice. Identify which channel is what
(where is throttle, rudder e/t/c)
Third.. connect NAZA as descibed in manual
"Naza-M Receiver Connections" wiki.
Great info v-max, thanx. I did all that and I just really need someone who has the same setup as me. I'm such a retard when it comes to electronics. But I need this radio to move the gimbal, power the Fat Sharks, more range, and telemetry(external screen). I wish this reciever used the S-bus, like Futaba.
This receiver do not provide futaba s-bus of course,
So you need to connect ael, rud, ele, thro and aux(ch5 on receiver) as described in NAZA manual.
The rest of channels on receiver (ch6-ch8)
may be used for gimbal servos.
In most cases nothing good.. this module use ACCST (Advanced Continuous Channel Shifting Technology)
Hardly you will find any other brand reciver which will work with it.
FrSky DJT or DF for JR8103 Tx? I have a JR8103 and need to know what the difference between these two modules might be? Are they both PPM/PCM capable and why the cost difference? Thanks Jim
Ok Jim hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong but a quick scan of the comments below say that both use the same telemetry tx module, but this one contains a non telemetry receiver, the other contains a telemetry receiver.
For JR8103 Tx you need JR module
"FrSky DJT 2.4Ghz Combo Pack for JR w Telemetry Module & V8FR-II RX" (ID: JR-Combo )
this one with telemetry
or
"FrSky DF 2.4Ghz Combo Pack for JR w Module & RX
$52.21" (ID: DJT )
one without telemetry
DJT and DF differs in formfactor
DJT - JR type and DF - Futaba type.
I beleive this is simple typo in headline of
"FrSky DF 2.4Ghz Combo Pack for JR w/ Module & RX"
Because picture shows DJT module and product ID: DJT.
Sorry if this is already addressed, easy .10 for someone I guess... Not ready to upgrade to ER9x or similar, will this work with the stock v2 firmware?
I'm having some problems trying to setup this module with the 9XR. I have 3 of these modules.
The first when plugged in and both switches set to OFF, it emits a clicking sound while the red led remains on, and the green led flashes. Holding down the button on the module when turning on has no effect. If I change the switches the clicking stops. Is this a faulty module?
I put the second module in the 9xr to test, and this one doesn't make the clicking noise. When I hold the button on the module down when turning tx on, I get a beeping noise every 2 sec, and the green led on constant, the red led flashing.
So I try to bind with the receiver
Push F/S button down on reeiver and power on. All I get is a constant red light.
I received some small bind plugs with my receiver* where are these meant to go?
Nothing seems to be matching up to the instructions. Can someone help here?
From memory you need to connect the control pin on channel one to the control pin of channel two. Then you can follow the same procedure outlined in the manual.
FrSky DJT 2.4Ghz Combo JR w / Telemetry Module and RX-II V8FR
Today I received this combo, plus another RX.
I have bonded with the new Turnigy 9XR, and all is well unless THOR engine does not work.
With the former the Turnigy module 9XII was perfect.
Anyone know how to fix it.
Thanks in advance.
Guys, I been using this modules since their first beta system , and I can tell you is the BEST SYSTEM YOU CAN GET here is the main Thing I can say: a) True FHSS system (equivalent to Futaba FAST Frequency hopping) b) True Fail Safe setup (and easy to setup) c) Range test perform in our clud give better than 1.2 miles and this under heavy noise (we had 5 Spektrum and 5 Futaba systems ON plus one wireless system plus a noise generator on the 2.

Continuation: c) Range test perform in our clud give better than 1.2 miles and this under heavy noise (we had 5 Spektrum and 5 Futaba systems ON plus one wireless system plus a noise generator on the 2.4GHZ spectrum) and the system perform w/o a problem. d) Very tolerant to low voltage (put down the voltage under 3V and still was working) In few works VERY GOOD SYSTEM, much better than any DSM system (Like Spektrum DSM2 or Corona DSM etc.), Ve

The JR 3810 is the same radio as the 8103. For marketing reasons it is labelled as the 8103 when sold in the USA, and as the 3810 everywhere else. Modules are interchangeable. The numbers stand for 3 model types, 8 channels, 10 model memories. So yes, it will accept the FrSky module.
