No, I think for ASP too big diameter, the Nitro Engines need high rpm, otherwise very little power. I recommend to start with 34mm diameter, then increase slowly.
First, you have to get a prop balancer.
Then you have to rub with a sandpaper, the back surface of the blade that is heavier,in order to achieve equal weight on both blades.
I have 2 Miss Geico29 and am looking for a nice set up to maximize speed. I'm looking for 2 props. One Geico has a 1500 kv stock 45 esc and the second Geico has 1800 kv with stock 45 esc. What prop should i get
sure, 440 means that it has a 4mm shaft and the pitch it 40 degrees. the same it true for a 535, this means that it has a 5mm shaft and a pitck of 35 degrees.
Ryan, I don't know where you get your info, but that's COMPLETELY wrong. 440 means it is 40mm, with a pitch ratio of 1.4. Total pitch is 40 * 1.4 = 56mm.
Shaft size is likely 3/16", but I haven't bought it so I wouldn't know
The pitch should be the same as an octura x440, 1.4. I assume that you are running a 36mm, or larger diameter motor, given that you have a 120 amp esc. Also, you want to be around 30,000 rpm at your final drive. Motor kv, multiplied by battery voltage, will give this no load speed. Also check the motors intended operating voltage. Either of these things can cause the motor to overheat.
440 should be fine, won't load motor too high, even on 6 cells. Please note that all metal props should be sharpened and balanced, for maximum peformance.
I bought a length of aluminum rod sized 3/16th x 0.14 or 4.76x.355mm and sleeved the prop with that, fits great! I have sharpened and balanced this prop and fitted to genesis, motor temps 55deg after 5mins of run time on 4s and 60-65deg 5mins on 5s. I think this is too hot, so I run only 4s now. I estimate speed at 50mph or 80kmh.
i have this 2 motor S2445-3890 Brushless Inrunner (3890kv) with Hobbyking SS Boat Series 125A ESC and ZIPPY Flightmax 5000mAh 3S1P 30C battery i want to use this prop with 40 inches boat. Can i use this prop??
3/16 polegadas (medido 4.78 mm). Eu usei em meu Surge Crusher, que tem eixo de 5 mm. Claro que tive que alargar para caber.( 3/16 inches, 4.78 mm diameter bore).
i have raced against lachlan's princess with my genesis with the same prop but with diffrent internal set up. genesis:stock motor-120 amp birdy esc 2x 4500mah 40C 4cell batteries princess:4072 2000kv turnigy inrunner-turnigy marine 180 amp esc 2x 4000mah 40C 5cell batteries and the princess was about 5-7km/h faster
hey im just wondering if this will fit on the SEA FIRE? i noticed someone else asked but i couldnt find an answer, cant seem to find any props to fit the sea fire either.. help plz
If the Sea Fire has an axle of 3/16 inches, YES.
I measured a 4.78 mm diameter bore. This is about 3/16 inches.
I used in my Surge Crusher, that has a 5 mm axle. Of course I've drilled the bore to fit.

What are the specs on these props. assuming 1.4 pitch x 40mm diameter. If anyone gets one I would be interested in the finish and balance also. Copper beryllium? Can't be any worse than Octura.
It is a bigger prop while replae to surge cusher stock good Accerlation but motor is very hot in short time. I thinking to change other bigger motor to be better.
I use this prop on my 29 inch tunnel boat, and finally it runs nice and smooth. Seems that this was THE prop for it. The prop had to be sharpened and balanced pior to use, but it's nothing unexpected. Good product all in all.
excellent prop great quality just balance and its ready too run.

I used it at Genesis. The prop is 5mm... my shaft is 4mm, so i cover my shaft with fiber tape to make it fix. My standard motor not so hot same as esc (120 turnigy aquastar).
