Thanks! I mean does anybody know what kv motor is already fitted in this plane? I know its small and powerful but I imagine you can get something with a little more kick. So I need to know what its starting with.
Thanks for any input

Anybody know how powerful the motor is in this jet? I know the esc is 20amp so it must be gagging for an upgrade. I want to order the plane and better edf esc and motor at once.
Thanks
   RONEY.HSIAO (100%)
the motor is powerful because the f-16 is small and light

Hi, going to buy this mini F-16 or the F-18. What's the best beginner EDF of these two? F-16 has larger wings, maybe easier to manouvre and better gliding/landing than F-18? What would you recommend. Help would be appriciated :-)
   Billbo1970 (59%)
Hi Jan. Not sure if you've made your purchase yet, but an entry level EDF that is TONS OF FUN is the mini F-86 they have here. It's quite fast, but also very stable due to the wing loading. I'd recommend that one.http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=12662

It lacks power but is a great little learner plane. Don't fly too slow or low and you will be fine
   mikey3d (75%)
It lacks power, do you even have one, mine has heaps of power.

Hi, last week I crashed my F-16 and I think I know why: when the EDF goes middle to full thrust, my aileron servo goes crazy.. is it due to an interference with the edf ? because only one servo is sensitive to that* I made a couple of flights without any problem* I tried regular and 2.4Ghz radio there's no difference.. This plane is so great I want to fly it again ! Any help would be highly appreciated :)
   Petr (100%)
I have had similar problem, but it was problem with servo - potentiometric transducer in servo. Problem with vibration of plane
   Sylvain (37%)
Hi Petr, did you change the servo? do you still have the problem now? thanks for your help
   Petr (100%)
Hi Sylvain Yes now is it OK, I changed the servo. Maybe it will be your problem, my servo had problem with vibration of the plane on full throttle, with plane was impossible flying because servo went out of range its way

Where are the wheels geting? thanks!!!
   exocet (59%)
You need to cut off the foam. But wheels on this plane? Forget it. They are too small.

The hand model who is holding the F-16 has nice toned arms. That is good to see when RC'ers like myself are a but tubby.

Sheez, keep those comments to yourself please. Share your thoughts on the jet, not the bloke holding it!

Hi, Is it possible that HK sells spare blades for the EDF??? Thanks!
   bugijs (49%)
I searched but found only 51mm blade, i dont think that is going to fit. Blade outer shell http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=4501
   Sylvain (37%)
I've got the same problem, would be nice indeed !

BearPaw (42%)
How big is battery compartment? Which battery would be best fit for this jet? Thanks.
   bugijs (49%)
The battery is already inculcated Battery: 850mah 3S 11.1V 20C
   Robachan (79%)
Didn't get this mini F-16, but got a mini F-18 and F-86 and both came with a 950 3S at 83g. Both even say 950 on the box and in the manual. Turnigy 1000 3S 20C weigh 85g, so will be same for CG. Probably shouldn't get anything under 1000 unless you get a higher C rating.
   Robachan (79%)
Battery Update - this F-16 does indeed include a 850mah 3S lipo at 73g - 55x29x29mm, noticeably smaller that the F-18 and F-86 lipos.

Ailerons coupled to the elevators.... great for roll control, but not so good for pitch control! No thanks.
   Sylvain (37%)
that wasn't a problem for me, and I think it's an efficient way to save weight

Is it possible to order only the airframe with no electronics, no battery, no fan, no motor ?
   spitfire2010 (27%)
You could always make one
   Eric1180 (-53%)
Now it is check replacement parts in the plane category
   kiet (31%)
this kit includes the lipo, so the ems postage will be charged with lipo, like an extra $14 dollar, right?
