can this one be used for epo ?
 Le Chat 30 points
Hi, No, this is not intended to glue EPO. You should use a glue dedicated to foam, like this one: www.link

Hi again, Anti-spam has erased my link. I was saying, this product is not intended to glue EPO. You should use a glue dedicated to foam, like the one HK sells. Search for Product ID: Mucilage-L

Be carefull! It smells like a toxic bomb! Do not use in a closed room! Very very toxic vapors! After adding hardener into epoxy - may become boiling!

Would this epoxy be valid to glue the exhaust to the motor in a 4 stroke thundertiger .54?

Just wondering if this is Glow Fuel Proof, would like to glue two 3/4 tanks together to make a larger tank!
 GustPilot 260 points
of course they are, and can handle exhaust heat too, well. in fact it hardens to a solid rack which you can drill sand etc

Will this epoxy be suitable to glue lose magnets to motor cans? Can it handle the heat?
 kamelasty 27 points
Yes, I did it before but U have to remember that these glue is getting hard very fast. I used CA for magnets and after that epoxy steel between magnets. works 100pcnt
 __Noca 10 points
In my opinion, very good adhesive can withstand the heat.
 zeeshankamal 8 points
I have used this glue and found very good. you can use it for magnet
 Railcrew 41 points
this will withstand alot of elements,I love this product and for the price you cant beat it.
 adriantan 23 points
Thanks for the feedback guys. Appreciated. I settled for Selley's metal epoxy coz I couldn't wait for the delivery :(

Anyway I believe the glue will indeed hold. So far with the epoxy I used, I was able to run 3 & 4S pack with my Sapac Black Tornado 3700KV motor without problems. Do note that the magnet which I glued back was only a small fragment of one of the entire magnet piece. Not sure if it holds if it was the entire piece. Just thought I'd update this discussion. Cheers!
 ben 5 points
i have used this stuff on a Glow engine exhaust so i should imagine that it will handle the heat of the motor ... just make sure that you dont use too much so you dont throw the CG of the motor and cause vibrations

Yes it means it won't effect you after using it for a period of time. I agree it is a good product.
 Arash 3 points
Hey guys, just stay off. cheap, but very high smell, doesn't stick on wood and metal well, on plastic good, but totally a week material it is. just stay off.
 subpic 5 points
LOL, I wonder if that's true, might get you high if you sniff it too much* smells quite strong when mixing, however didn't experience any side-effects until now :D

can be used to 'lock' the motor shaft to the motor can instead of using a screw?
 kamelasty 27 points
for 'locking' motor shaft you should use locktite not epoxy glue. Any way better is use scrue and locktite glu
 normal_nick 22 points
I did it once and after one bad landing the shaft fall off. Better to buy few screws...

It does not have a difference from regular epoxy. It was coloured for a metallic look.

Will this glue metal to plastic?
 drrk24 848 points
Yes & No - depends on type of plastic !
Not usable for soft / elastic material.
As epoxy glue yields a high strength, it's recommended for such materials like metal, fiber composites, etc.
Epoxy steel is good for repair as it contains metallic powder which gives its own stability when filling gaps.

 JelleB 478 points
But this glue does not contain a metallic powder filler. It also smells very bad, making me doubt that this is epoxy. It is a two part glue, that is all you can say about it.
 Lucas 7 points
CUIDADO!!! Esta cola no para isopor ou depron, derrete todo o material e tem um cheiro horrvel.
 Kasper 7 points
Yes - no problems :)
 CARSLOS ANDRE 57 points

is it good for high heat?
 sampc69 950 points
usualy these types are heat resistant for certain degree but then after that degree they start to soften and sticking surfaces eventually come off. so i do not suggest them for high heat items ..!
 Vova.St. 81 points
From -30 to 80 degrees Celsius.
 weberschi 53 points
Yep, high heat, using in my car engine actually.
 anselmo 75 points
Dear Friend is not much but it depends what you mean by high heat to good range is 60 degrees
 jerrykl720 1231 points
60 is low . 500 to 800 is high
 CARSLOS ANDRE 57 points
Use glue propia for the cheap heat could be costly
MegaTesla  576 points - 9/1/2010

"Non-Sniffable" Lol!
 sampc69 950 points
if it is non-sniffable then it is the stickable type..LOL :~)
 dude7422 197 points
what you want to sniff isgirlsunderwear now thats something worth sniffing
 Sfakias 146 points
Will it bond aluminium alloys? Are the mechanical properties of the cured epoxy similar to steel or "Epoxy Steel" is just a fancy name?
 10nemo 547 points
I've used something likeit to glue a 2 stroke 46 carbie into a cracked venturi.. It has survived numerous flights , and heat, and still looks like it will last forever.. On a wider note.. it IS effected by 2 stroke fuel ( used to glue some brass tubing into a metal can lid as a fuel bottle.. It eventually disintergrated on the inside (exposed) side of lid. But hey! for 55cents.. gewt some and try it out.. I paid over $6 for my tube/s
 dhdsracer 790 points
i'm guessing this is just a economy version of JB Weld. Should be good stuff, but a bit overkill for most R/C applications.
 plasticbaldy 352 points
There used to be a glue called 'Tarzan's Grip'. This is nothing like that. BUT _ A girl went into the hardware shop & asked for 'A grip of Tarzan's tube'. The shopkeeper said 'Don't you mean 'a tube of Tarzan's Grip - The stuff you stick things with ?'. She replies 'No I want the stick that you stuff things with'.
 NickyV 18 points
you know that those labels are only warnings! ha ha

One of the worst epoxy glues! It smells horrible , so not work with it in house. In my case, the entire basement stinked of this glue!!!

It hardens well in about 5min but the smell is still annoying.

The resin is light green and hardener light red colour. Mix both in equal ammount!

It is useable but in open area...
