Here is the ampacity (maximum amount of current) that each size of this silicon wire can handle. Keep in mind that this is just a rule of thumb as ambient temperature and air flow will make a difference.

8AWG 200 amps
10AWG 140 amps
12AWG 90 amps
14AWG 60 amps
16AWG 35 amps
18AWG 20 amps
20AWG 12 amps
22AWG 10 amps

Just found out, this 18 AWG cable seems to be suitable for mid-size quads, 10-20 amp motors. Also 20A escs have them.

Why the red is more expensive them the black
 Hansc 388 points
do you really care? Because the red color material is more expensive!?
 The General - x5 144 points
Because it's made in china. And red is considered lucky so it costs more.
 Chris Cteam MOD 17 points
probably because demand are more important in black than red.. So cost producing is cheaper........
 Awni 165 points
it is made in China, and most of china's flag is red color *-)
 znunes 45 points
it just has to do with color vareations, the coloring for red takes a little more processing then black. im sure the same goes for other colors

As it only seams to affect the price on the 18AWG and not the others, this was intended for HK. More as a comment then a question.
I believe that somehow is a HK's pricing error. Either way doesn't matter and I don't really care. Again it was just a comment, after all this is the discussion section.

Seriously guys, its cuz its China made and they love red, so they charge you more. Soistika soi soi?

Red one is much faster then black one.
 Bandit 91 points
I know because red is more expensive than black, because black is black and red is red....., some things from china only chinese understand.

Nice flexible wire - this size is good for small applications with low amp draw (ie small planes with batteries less than 1000mah)

Quite small but still bigger than ordinary wire with the same size (18AWG) , nothing odd, the color is obviously RED, but because of it's silicone insulation plus small diameter, this cable is really very flexible, but also because of it this cable is very fragile to any sharp edges, be carefull.
