HobbyKing PPM Signal Mixer version B for Head-Movement-Tracker Gyro
PPM Signal Mixer is specifically designed for those who own low end Futaba transmitters (such as the 6EX), allowing you to also use the head movement tracking system. And even can be used with JR transmitters. (soon available) This version B is designed for 6EX transmitter which comes with 8 channels receiver.
Just connect the PPM signal mixer inbetween the Advance Head-Movement-Tracker Gyro and the Transmitter and PPM signal mixer will map new channels special for X-GYRO 1000 via the transmitter. Then it maps 2 channels, and put them after the transmitter channels, now it’s 7 CH and 8 CH, that ‘s why you need a 8CH receiver. Connect the servos to 7CH and 8CH.
Dear friends i have an optic 6 sport WITH HASSAN 2,4 GZ MODULE already solded inside. I've tryed to use the trainer port but it din't worked(USING ONLY THE X-GYRO 1000 WITH NO ppm signal mixer) Can someone help me? I bought this mixer but i should buy also a 8 channel RX..in this case CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHERE should i sold inside the wires??
Two questions? 1: Will the promised JR version ever be available? 2: It seems like this will work with my JR-MX12. But Will it allso work with Fatshark Predator 5,8Ghz Headtrack output?
The Turnigy 9x TX can't be expanded to 8 channels. It already is 8 channels. If you want to connect headtracking gyros, you should be able to solder them in without having to fiddle with the ppm signal.
I mean that it'll be nice to add some other 8 Ch TX-module to the Turnigy radio with 9 Ch RX and expand channels with this thing. Maybe my suggestion is quite messy, but the question was "is it possible to make it work with some other transmitters with more than 6 channels"?
Generally, it would be possible to build something like that, though I don't beleave this was designed for more than 6 ch input.
Or do jo mean the futaba/jr question? It's for futaba-like systems only...
bonjour
merci

hello
I use this "HobbyKing PPM Signal Mixer version B for Head-Movement Gyro-Tracker" with "X-1000 HobbyKing Advanced Head-Movement Gyro-Tracker" on my radio futaba 6exap
with "Corona Synthesized Dual-Conv **Receiver 9CH 41" as a receiver
it works well provided a hold down the button of schooling, if I loose schooling button, the camera stops moving ...
til There's a solution? perhaps by grafting the module directly inside the radio and at the same time to use the taking of school fees for a second radio slave?
thank you
Update: I does work. I'm using this to merge the PPM out of the T6XAs with the PPM that the X-1000 (ch7&ch8) generates. The PPM out of the mixer is then send to a FrSky 2.4G DIY module. Receiver used is the FrSky V8FR. One note though for the X-1000 power feed by the T6AXs: had to add an LC filter on the VCC line else no PPM signal is generated by the X-1000.
Ordered one of these on the 18th of July and it is still on backorder. Can I get some idea when these will be back in stock?

1 thumbs up!
I used this to make the headtracker work with JR MX12. Will work with other radios too if you solder it directly to the HF-Module. Great little tool. Now i have 8 Channels instead of 6 :)
Got item without label, wich make it look rather ugly with white foam pads under plastic. Neither headtracker gyro nor this item correspond to picture. Hope it delivers tech wise! Will post more.

You can indeed transform a jr/graupner mx-12 transmitter into a 8 channel tx with channels 7 and 8 used for headtracking. I have been using my mx-12 with this mixer for 2 months now with no ill effects.
Great little device.
Search for mx12 and headtracker in google and you'll find how to do it.
