please what receiver and transmitter can i use for my quadcopter to carry the 4esc's , 1 channel for auto-stabilization and also 2 channels for this pan tilt?.. thanks
hey guys, im interested in FPV flying and want to set up a camera with a pan/tilt mechanism like this, im just not sure how to operate it though, do you need a seperate tx/rx for it? how do people operate their pan/tilt mechanisms? cheers
You don't need to have a separate Tx/Rx. Just put 2 servos for pan and tilt, then connect those servos to spare channel on your Receiver at the plane.Assign 2 knob controller on the TX to operate the pan and tilt.
You can also control your pan/tilt with a head tracker on your goggles, this usually hooks up to the trainer port in your transmitter and two channels are assigned to this port. The servos then connect to the appropriate slots on your receiver.
I'm building a quadcopter with tiltrotors. Motor = hextronik 24 gram 1300 kv.
Are these cameramounts strong enough to be used as tiltmotor mounts? Only the servo in the camera mount will be used.
I believe the servo visible on top should be ancored either in this diretion, or up-side-down.
This top servo will act on the horisontal axis, while the other, which also holds plat for camera, wil pan vertically.
Hope this clears your question!
this is for small cameras like fat shark camera's on Hk. on pan tilt camera is held by screws and for mounting the whole thing u have u ave to fit the pan tilt frame on the plane with some arrangements according to ur plane
forgot to mention. The camera on the video is L-size, whereas this camera is small, like for the fat shark camera. They have equal design, only the size is different
Received this and tried with the camera and Hextronik HXR900. The holes alignment are very bad. I've to file almost every other opening. Screw holes are also missed aligned. Don't recommend to buy this product. Hobbyking should recommend compatibility list if the alignment is such important aspect.
Will this fit the camera that comes with this set? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__28342__Fa t_Shark_PredatorV2_RTF_FPV_Headset_System_w_Camera_a nd_5_8G_TX.html
That's right, come incomplete. Missing 1 piece to work! Do not recommend. I wonder how HobbyKing handle these facts, because mine came incomplete. The missing piece that holds the second servant. Without the part, the pan & tilt does not work.
O suporte me ofereceu $1 de desconto na pró*xima compra. Isso nã*o está* correto. Sem a peç*a o produto nao funciona. Poderiam me enviar a peç*a que faltou. Ou outro produto. Gostaria de comprar a peç*a faltosa, incluindo o envio, pelo valor que me ofereceram.
The support offered me $ 1 discount on the next purchase. This is not correct. Without the part the product does not work. Can you send me the piece that was missing. Or other product. I would buy the faulty part, including shipping, for the amount they offered me.
fiberglass or carbon fiber are not healthy to inhale or get into your eyes. If you're going to be cutting this stuff, spit on it or use something that will keep the dust down wear a respiratory mask and safety goggles. DON'T USE a Dremel tool on this stuff either.
genrlst, it is a good idea to rinse these types of materials before working with them. Anything to keep the dust down. This is why I don't install insulation! Ha ha! Nasty stuff and no matter how much I try to protect myself when I do work with it, I still get some stuck in me somewhere and need an electron microscope to get it out. Take care and happy flying!
I can not register into the forum, always have a problem with it. So could someone can upload MANUAL from "http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/forum/forum_post s.asp?TID=14088 "
MANUAL:
I made a Manual, http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/forum/forum_posts .asp?TID=14088
or search the forum "FPV Fiberglass Pan-Tilt Camera Mount (MANUAL)"
Ikea style, lots of pictures, really helpfull

It's not easy to get that link working. The search couldn't find it night.
Finally, I had to login, open up and read any of the post. And then replace the TID to 14088 and I could finally see the manual post.
Hi Perlcoder, i have mounted mine with the bevelled edge (bigger Diameter Lip) to the Inside. that way it has more support against the swiveling Plate that you mount your Camera and Servo on, and leaves less play for possible Vibrations.
If this helped you please click the Button below. Thank you
I made a Manual, already here www.link search the forum "FPV Fiberglass Pan-Tilt Camera Mount (MANUAL)"

if you wrap your servo body first in some electrical or f/g tape first prior to glue (i just use just standard silicon) then if ever necessary to recover/ replace the servo you just cut the tape and peal it off without any residue, then you can work away at removing the tape and silicon, and because the tape is flexible it comes away much more easily, rather than trying to separate the flat servo area with a screwdriver. all my plane servos are glued in this way for easy replacement even on foam
Are the screws included? Mine arrived with no screws.. I cannot get these parts locally.. Thats why I ordered it online.. and now I still dont have the parts
hobbyking, please enlarge this so we can attach a patch antenna and use as an antenna tracker with eagle eyes!!!
I wont even charge you guys for the idea!! but putting me down as a beta tester would be great!!
I tried to add the link but this board chops them.
Just put 'pan-tilt' in the search bar. You should get both camera mounts - mind you, neither are available right now.
Whether it is big enough you have to work out for yourself :)
Regards,
well then dont put tha kind of comment in "FPV Fiberglass Pan-Tilt Camera Mount"
and if u are smart enough you can make it by ur self using popsicle sticks and servos...
just use ur brain and invent.
Come on dude You know that kind of stuff isn't suitible for an antenna tracker. It need to be ver accurate. go to servocity for good tracker parts. Kind regards Roel Fly Wild The Netherlands
please note that this is the discussion section regarding the item, IE the place to discuss things regarding the item, thats why i asked a question, i didn't make a statement, i asked for it to be ENLARGED, please read posts properly before wasting other peoples time, i know this item cant be used for AT, but if it was ENLARGED it could. thank you

My order is in processing for the last one month as this item is not in stock. Any estimate on when it would be restocked? If it's gonna take too long i would like to cancel it from my current order and reorder later! :(
try one of the HDPE plastic cases on your cx-161. with a little trimming (don't worry, its easy to trim the soft plastic case) it fits well. I believe they are at ****cctvohio****
Human? I doubt it. You are actually all robots scheming to place your spare parts throughout the world in our hobby closets by selling them to us at ridiculously low prices. Then, when you begin your assault - you will have repair parts everywhere! I'm on to you, model# 5001 son of model JA!
A create small camera mount. The fibreglass part are fitting very good. Due to there is no assembly instruction available, I did a small build log: www.link The mount is usable for cameras that are not wider than a 9gr Servo.

2 thumbs up!
Nice unit. Light and strong. Easy to assemble, and other servos can be used with little modification.
Will get another for my FPV planes.

Fun stuff, could be used to make a search light :)
truely amazing after 3 year looking for the perfect setup HK made it, my head tracker is happy !! really well made nice ball bearing linkage very solid quality the only upgrade would be to screw the servo on the plate instead of glueing anyhow i made a circle hole in the plate pass the camera objectif in and use double side servo tape at the rear of the camera for the servo mount
