Hi alna1957. There are many who are experiencing sync problems on the latest versions of SimonK! My Cobra engines do not work with the latest version! I use BS-NFET V2013-05-15 That works flawlessly! ps .... all the other girls that I fly with use the same version. Hugs from me

For everyone out there thinking these are the same as the mystery 12a they ARE NOT. These are a nfet esc and the mystery's are now a p/nfet. Search for the rapid esc database and you'll see they take different firmware. Hobbyking bs12a are bs-nfet.hex and mystery's are bs.hex . The mystery esc's are not happy running high kv motors like the zmr/rcx 1804 2400kv, sunnsky 2204 2300kv or the t-motor 2300kv they loose sync. USE THIS VERSION not the mystery's these are cheaper and better without sync issues.

Thank you for the information. very helpful.

Okay then my next question is* do these ESC's have high RPM sync issues? Does SimonK 5-15 firmware solve the issue? Does it still require a capacitor?
 contact303 224 points
Bob, these are the esc to have:)
. Why u believ they always sold out .
Buy em when u get the chance and flashed with SimonK hex they run perfect fro your quad .

All Nfet :)
If one ESC lasts and has proper tolerances then its ALL NFET esc / U run the 6030 on 3s or 4s ? I would just hopp to 4s and get a 1900kV motor :) Much more efficient. no ?
 Bob 16 points
I would move to 4S but then I'll need more items to run FPV. I'll be running 3S with the 2300KV's. I considered the SS2204 1800kv motors but nobody has any tests or reviews on them and I don't know why. I would think running those on 4S or even 3S with 6" props would be even more efficient than the 2300's but without the high end pop. Also, these ESC's are the same as the B-12A from Ready to fly Quads? *******goo.gl/QwhI3B They do the flashing so I don't need to so I'll get from them...
 contact303 224 points
Really good for 4s: Cobra 1900KV :)
pocket rocket but iam gonna stay with 3s for now maybe 6030 but definitely 3S
 Bob 16 points
I'm kinda new. Too scared to try 4S right now. My quad that uses 10" props is on 3S and already extremely fast for me. Can easily do 4S no trouble at all, but I just can't take it myself... Would you happen to know if these ESC's the same as the B-12A?
 contact303 224 points
Mystery 12A are the same as this . and i believe so are the B12 A

I think 18AWG wire used for the power leads would have been a better choice for ensuring efficient current flow.

Excellent speed control. I use it with a Turnigy 2730-1500kv running 2 and 3 cell lipo on small,< 32 wing span, 3D planes. I have run up to 4 micro, 5g, servos on the BEC with no problems.
