Hello everyone, whath is the difference compare to the HK450GT-Pro .Thanks for your reply.

An other question:
Can i buy a HK450GT for the spare part of my HK450GT-Pro.The part are compatible.
Thanks again
   Darivi (48%)
Hi all, what tool is needed for the allen screws? It is not 1.5mm or 2mm. What is it? Thank you all.
   Sam (25%)
It is 1.5mm, just some are a bit big. Try using a 1/16" driver as this is 1.58mm
   maxbobb0002 (100%)
Sam, You're the man.
   Lincoln (95%)
Hi JeanPaul, The difference between the 450 GT and GT-Pro is big. The frames have different designs and parts do not serve one another in.
   helivader (100%)
HK450GT is belt driven tail rotor. HK450GT-Pro is tube driven. Some parts are not compatible.

Hi, Where can I get parts with the heli, and what trex model is this comparable so i can use align parts Thanks
   Rooks (25%)
This is 99% compatible with Align Trex 450 so you can just buy any parts that's use for Trex 450 and use them on HK450 or vice versa.
   Tony A. (59%)
Comparable to the Trex 450SE v2.
   DokusDuts (40%)
I found that the Manual for the Trex450 Pro was the most comparing. In frame-layout and parts

Anybody know if I Can use with this helicopter:
The ESKY ET6 transmitter and receiver ESKY 001367 2.4 GHz (For ESKY Honey Bee CP3)or
The ESKY ET61 transmitter and receiver ESKY EK2-0420A-72 Mhz (For ESKY King 3)
Thanks a lot
   Jotaluz (50%)
Yes you can use the ESKY ET6!! Look my youtube videos :-)
   calee (13%)
Hi Jotaluz:
Thanks for your help. I saw your videos. The transmitter ET6 is for ESKY CP3 and it doesn't have knobs for pitch(left),knob for gyro(right) and switch for gyro. this is the link http://www.twf-sz.com/english/products.asp?prodid=0338
And the receiver is ESKY 001367, this is the link http://www.twf-sz.com/english/products.asp?prodid=0340
Thank you very much for your time

I want to begin with Helis, and I like this one, can anybody list a full list of the items required to finish it?
Hobbyking, please have some kind of a link listing the items needed to finish it, you WILL SELL more!!!
   thang25 (-100%)
If you read at the bottom page, it said the required items. Then that's the item you will need to install. Or you can google how to build a Hk450 helicopter. Someone will give you the part list. FYI, these HK-450 series is not for beginner. Designed for someone who already know how to flight and how to build a new helicopter.

anyone know what type of screws those are on the frame? hex or torx?
   Harri_s (34%)
Hex I thing as with all other HK450s. Torx would be super but I have not found them anywhere. T6 key works better than a 1,5mm hex key on these machines.
   SceneSnap (30%)
thanks!
   stratos05 (34%)

HEX 1.5mm
   thang25 (-100%)
According to user manual, it required a hex key 3, 2.5, 2, 1.5mm. Here is the link for user manual http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uploads/375648423X4838X25.pdf
   traykov (20%)
The screws are HEX 1.5mm
   SceneSnap (30%)
Thanks everyone I just built it a couple of days ago it was 1.5mm like u guys said, However the blade grips on the top are a bit bigger so I just picked up a cheapo Allen key from the local hobby store lol just to do those 2 bolts every now and then. Thanks again all.
   Andre (0%)
Hi, what is an allen key. Could anyone post a pic? Trying to learn all those english tecnic words. :)
   Lincoln (95%)
In fact, the screws do not give problems if you use hex key size 1 / 16 inch. and not to 1.5 mm

I think there's also a new version of this Heli.
So i expect that it would be better but i read too many bad comments, anyone, can say anything???
   BC Heli Dude (53%)
I have three and two friends have them as well. All good quality and went together perfectly. Suggest spent the extra money for gyro and tail servo.
   maestros (55%)
thank you for replying, i will buy this heli above. Some people said that HXT900 servos are working just fine. What do you recommend? (Please something not very expensive).
   Hermansjoerd (31%)
The new version also has a torque tube and for beginners thats not ideal because it breaks quicker!Quality is I think the same only the screws etc are made of cheese! cheers mate

   kostas (17%)
Hi maestro, The bad comments are from men that they are looking to buy the cheaper think at the biggest quality. So in my opinion the heli on this price with a good gyro, esc and tail servo fly perfect.
   Shea (24%)
i fly with 4 hxt 900s hk 401b gyro , tower pro 40amp ESC,TP 450-Size 2415-07T Brushless Heli motor it holds the tail pretty good no bad wag or oscillations just a very small amount of wander when you pump throttle hard with pitch -9 9 with an 11 tooth pinion and esc set timing to med. was really cheap to build and great to learn on
   arnaldo (60%)
"We have plenty of spare parts in stock for this machine." where are the spares?!?!?!
   tonybooger (25%)
I fly with the hxt900 on the cyclics, and it works fine! they are a little slower, but they work a treat!

Search MSTEER79 and look at my vids of flying the HK450MT, that is with hxt900's on the cyclics.

Although, I have never tried any other servo, so I dont know any different! LOL.

It flys, thats all that matters.

OK, so when will this fine looking heli be back in stock so I can get one along with the really great looking 500 body?

Also what would be a really nice motor (and pinion) and ESC and servo setup that I could order at the same time from this wonderful ordering place? Oh, and gyro too?

thanks
   Shea (24%)
i use hxt900 for cyclic,D922MG tail servo with hk 401b gyro, TP 450-Size 2415-07T Brushless Heli Motor 3850kv with an 11 or 13 tooth pinion, TowerPro H40A Brushless Speed Controller as the bec is weak at 2 amps for the draw from hxt900 servos i use a 4 amp 5650uf capacitor to prevent brownouts, be sure to order dont forget connectors for esc motor battery... and shrink tube is good
   Craig Seay (0%)
Hey, thanks for the reply. I have been out of the heli business for several years and trying to get back in. I have a Century Hawk Sport and Pro and also a Gaui EP550 Hurricane that I just finished. Used to fly the old Kavan Jet Ranger back in the mid 70's. Still fly planks too.

thanks

i ve this heli with fiberglass canopy and looks very well! everything is metal and carbon except tail blades and paddles is plastic. i have 3 d933mg at cyclic and 401 gyro with d922mg esc turnigy plus 40 amp with 13 pinion and turnigy e 500 motor. fly very well idle up loops rolls funnels with this set up.

wHEN WILL PARTS FOR THIS BE AVAILABLE????

AND WHEN THEY DO BECOME AVAILABLE, HK SHOULD HAVE A SEPERATE 'HK450 GT' PARTS CATAGORY. SO THE OLD MT VERSION AND V1 V2 PARTS DONT GET MIXED UP WITH THE NEW PARTS.

I AM AWARE THAT IT SHARES SOME OF THE OTHER PARTS, AND THERE WILL BE SOME DOUBLE UPS IF THERE IS A SEPERATE 450GT CATAGORY, BUT WHO CARES! IT MAKE IT EASIER FOR US CUSTOMERS TO ORDER THE RIGHT PARTS.

JUST LIKE THERE IS 2X DIFFERENT PARTS CATAGORIES FOR THE T500, AND 500GT.

THANKS

It would be great if HobbyKing could list the parts for the HK450GT. It's impossible to get the metal parts in the same color.

I'm also sure a lot of metal head and tail units, would be purchased by HK450 owners, as well.
   helivader (100%)
Totally agree with you. I think HobbyKing still needs to do a lot of homework on the part listing of HK450.

Hello Jason, Can you please advise us all of when all the spare parts will be listed and available for the V2 Range of HK450 Helicopters, I have been waiting since January to buy a set of Alloy main blade holders with 4mm feathering shaft, for my HK450 V2
I need them and sure many other people need them as well as all the other parts your adds claim to have " we have plenty of parts in stock" as your adds read.
Thankyou Rod
   waineman (78%)
Do you mean the upgrade, blue blade grips and feathering(4MM)feathering shafts?
Because I think the blue blade grips fit, but not the 4mm f.s.'s
If your'e talking about the silver ones, they are t-rex compatable, if not the reply below your review has the address waine at waineman*msn****
   Warren (17%)
?? why not just BUY Align TREX parts ?? that is the concept of the HX's Start with cheap clone and replace the parts with genuine TRex parts as needed untill your clone is a real TREX
   Shea (24%)
buy align as its feathering shaft will do till the ones hear are available
   Shea (24%)
i dont know anywhere at this site to get a feathering shaft but the align trex450 SE V2 has the exact same one and its well hardened like $6-10 for 2 but its better than the nothing HK is currently offering us

Please, will the V2 parts listed? I just ordered this one as spare bird for my original HK450 upgaded with you superb V2 head, but I still miss parts such V2 feathering shaft and V2 blade grips. This is also reason I won't buy V3 version at the moment..
   Martin (62%)
you can buy it on ebay without any problem, cheap also
   metoo (75%)
You can also buy them from companies like xheli (feathering shaft EXI-31146).

TrevJonez (80%)
ordered mine today, will post review comparing it to the original hk450, and of course the align 450 pro.

will be using hxt 900 on cyclic. align gp750 gyro(from my 600 that is getting a 3g) and a turnigy ds530 for tail servo.

dsx9 radio with 6110e reciever

towerpro h40a esc

the turnigy 2836 brushless motor with 11t pinion (3700kv motor will use 12t pinion if head speed is too low but 11t should be plenty)

collective to be 11+/- and 8+/- on cyclic as i fly all my heli's

if the included blades are fibreglass i will fly them then put on a set of the carbon blades for 12-13$ here if they feel iffy or i break them :)

because i have a 450 pro this guy will be more of a toy and is going to be put through hell and help me learn more and faster. wish me luck!
   deanc (42%)
Also please include details of the tail. It's funny why it was left out on the pics above while other models show them on their product page.

thanks
   TrevJonez (80%)
i ordered 450 pro tail grips for this but will drill and tap weights into stock for back up.

from what i can see it looks metal. i chose express shipping so a week or so hopefully!
   TrevJonez (80%)
just recieved an inspected the contents. the canopy is the milk carton plastic with black spot painted on stickers come on seperate sheet. the blades are fiberglass of good quality and will fly this thing great(ballance has yet to be checked). everything is alloy all of the frame bolts spacers bearing blocks tail block everything. head seems of good quality though i think the brass washout bushing will need to be pressed down to maximize pitch range. the tail unit was all aloy and looked to be good quality. the tail fins (vert and horizontal stabs) are carbon and very stiff. better than the fiberglass ones available in parts section.
tail boom has hk450gt etched into it and is very atractive.

first impression this kit is VERY well put together and is IMO how the original hk450 should have been. i am a bit concerned about the tail pitch slider binding but i need to get the thing out and assembled to say for sure.

the head seems nice and i will be putting pro preset links on it to ease the setup process on the head which performance wise will be no different than stock.

and as said in above comments i am going to use the stock tail grips being drilled and tapped for the weight mod as i canceled the order of pro grips wanting to keep this bird as stock as possible. will post more after assembling and do the actual review space after some flying.
   Shea (24%)
it will bind sitting but when spinning has centrifugal force to keep the slider arms in the out position and not folded in causing binding, if it concerns you it is easy to limit the servo to avoid extending the slider pitch arms far enough to bind

kind of wish i bought this instead of the PRO now!...
   deanc (42%)
Why what's wrong with the PRO?
   Demon (82%)
Ok just to Confirm for you all,
This is the FULL Alloy version of the V2 helicopter (4mm Feathering shaft), it is similar to the Pro (very mild differences in the head but the frame is different). The tail fins are either FRP or Carbon Fibre and the tail box and blades are going to be Alloy as well.

Hope this helps.
   Tonzzi (50%)
Length of feathering shaft of PRO is 51mm(for V3 head).
I bought many feathering shafts for V2 head in vain.
Perhaps main shaft is different from V1 and V2.
You should acknowledge these difference to buy parts.
   Abu Rawan (14%)
Must provide spare parts and as soon as possible
