can I use this servo for swash on 550heli.
 Luke 1 points
Those are too slow and weak for that job. they will struggle to do the job well, and eventually just burn out.

hobbyking can you tell me how a digital servo has a potentionometer?
 pikacu 18 points
whether analog or digital servo, it has potentiometer. it tells where the exact location in servo movement. the diff between analog or digital is the working frequency. The analog servo runs 50Hz and the Digital servo runs 300Hz thus more accurate.
 Uberfest 31 points
eu não tive problemas com esse servo, é espetaculo, metal e digital, uso em 5v, relativamente muito bons, fortes, rapidos, somente um pouco pesados....uso em meu extra 26cc, sem problemas!
 Luis Rodrigo 2 points
The potenciometer is used to clibrate the position of the servo, the servo reads the value in the potenciometer and in a digital servo converts it to a digital value that correspond to a position. It is meant to be used to tweak the servo to it´s zero position, however you can use it to change the behavior of the servo like a 360 degree rotation etc. for more info check the web, google servo mods.

Is this servo same size with the Futaba S3001???TQ
 pikacu 18 points
i believe it has the same dimension as futaba s3001 they fit the same when it comes to rc drift cars 1:10. corona is better when it comes in performance
 Richie's Rc 33 points
Hi, yes it is the same physical size but have much more torque (s3001 3kg at 6 volts and 0.22 sec/60° at 6V). So the 538mg is a much stronger and faster servo. Hope this helps. Richie's RC

hello
i bought this servo also and after yousing it twise is broke down

ITS NOT A GOOD SERVO
 Uberfest 31 points

it this better than futaba S3001????Thanks
 pikacu 18 points
yup,,,i have one. it has more response because it's digital while s3001 is analog and it has bearings at s3001 don't have

NO

its not a good servo

after jusing it one time it brakes

não, este é mais forte, mais pesado, e de engrenagens de metal. respectivamente

hi there
witch servo arms can i use
jr or futaba enz
 cardinal 19 points
indifferent
 Keith 12 points
uses futaba arms
 Catalinaflyer 25 points
Futaba fits perfectly HOWEVER, be carefull that the arm does not bottow out on the case and bind the servo, the spline on this servi is not quite as tall as a Futaba and some aftermarket arms designed for Futaba will actually bind on the case. Just sand the bottom of the arm a little till it fits and will be as good as $100 name brand servos. I'm using 11 of them in a giant scale plane and they are working perfect.
 Uberfest 31 points
são meio barulhentos, mais são bons, uso em um extra 260 de 1.78m de envergadura
mrfourtysevenman  128 points - 2/3/2011

can i use these with 72 mhz? i fear metal gears cause RF noise.
 Catalinaflyer 25 points
I have been flying with Metal Geared servo's on 72 MHZ for many years and have never had an interferrence issue cause by the servos.
 pikacu 18 points
you can still use this servo with no problem however you can prevent glitching by installing capacitor to the receiver or use turnigy voltage capacitor in rx/tx accessories section
rogerwest  41 points - 5/4/2010

I have them, haven't used them in any models myself yet, but I have onsold a few, even to guys using them for sail servos in yachts! They are nice and quiet and seem to work very well from my bench testing. Stay tuned to rcmodelreviews****, Bruce is going to be doing a review of a couple of mine very shortly.

Really awsome that guys is amazing

Well, all I can say it is a very good servo for the money. It has 2 ball bearings, well lubricated metal gears, almost no play in gear chain and best of all it has bronze bushings in upper gear cover, which means a long time play-free gears,a feature I did not met in far more expensive servos. The working noise is very low,in fact they are the quietest servos I have untill now.The torque is lower than specified, but still 4,5kg/cm at 4,8 v and 5,5kg/cm at 6 v.Holding power is 6kg at 4,8v and 7kg at 6v.Speed is very good, and inside is a big motor which I think it will resist a long 3D fly time. The PCB is good quality, very well fixed inside,it has mosfets in 7 amp class, wires are soldered very good, and a good quality rubber protector is used for exit point of wires.Centering is excellent. The only bad thing regarding these servos is that resolution is not good, and I am wondering myself why a such good builded servo with all excellent moving parts was designed to have so bad resolution??Actually I dont want anybody to think it is so bad,but at this high quality mechanics inside I expected more.I will definitly NOT use this servos for extreme precision fligt, but I HIGHLY RECOMMAND this servo in mid-sized Gas powered airplanes because of good vibrations resistance and well build servomotor inside. I will load up some pictures of this servo which I think is one of best quality /value ratio servo sold by.Hobby King.I will buy more servos this kind for all my mid-sized airplanes. target=_blank>Corona 538MG target=_blank>Corona 538MG target=_blank>Corona 538MG target=_blank>Corona 538MG

Its a very good Servo for the money. I use it in the Kysoho Lazer ZX5 as steering servo and it does its job very well since last summer, so its durable too.
 William 6 points
You say two ball bearings AND a bronze bushing?
A bearing will out last and operate smoother with less play than a bushing. The top should be a bearing. I'm surprised to hear that there is a set-up like this. Most 2 bearing servos have the final gear supported top and bottom with the bearings. Where are the two ball bearings on this servo? Are you sure the top is really a bronze bushing? Good to see the other detail you have listed. Thanks for the info.

You want to risk your trex on $10 servos??
Get something better like ino lab and respect your rc!

For your Trex 600 on cycle try using BMS-660DMG+HS Super Strong Digital Servo (Metal Gear)14.2kg / .17sec / 52g And your talk gyro use Model: HD-5680BB These are strong and fast and center like rock holding great for tail i had to add some expo for my tall movement but it's a great cheap set up

I've got a stack of these over here in NZ to on-sell, they're great - really strong torque for the size of servo, also much quieter than the smaller Corona DS929MG servos.

Hey does anybody know how much mah these take up? If you know just send me a mail at ib_ster*live.nl Thanks!

I bought two of this servo. They are well made, shock-proof, quiet, torquey and fast as claimed when tested with a two-cell A123. The gear box is excellent with very little or almost NO gear slop.
The servo does not over- shoot, its circuit however seems a bit over damped, i.e. when returning transmitter stick slowly to the neutral position, the servo arm could not return to its neutral position.
For the cost and value. These are superb.

Powerful digital servo that centres very well, unlike the TP 995's. Very quiet gear train, with smooth movement throughout its travel range. It could include a few more different servo arms to suit all applications. Overall a top quality servo that works as well if not better than servos 10 times its price!
