It's odd - all batteries use wires that are not rated for the current they are carrying. There are others who have mentioned this in various threads. Google "AWG copper wire table" to find the specs of various guages. All I can figure is that because the length of the wires is so short, the resistence is very low. But it seems to me the resistence per inch is what matters (the guage), not total resistence. Nobody has had a wire "melt" however, so it seems to work, and it's hard to argue with reality!

I found the answer: if they have silicone insulation, they can handle more amps than most of the wire tables indicate.

It uses 12 AWG wire (in the image). I read that (copper) 12 AWG is rated only to 25Amps.

what? no its not. i have pushed over 180 amps on it before. My motor wires are 12 Awg and i measured 300 amps on esc when it was running, no biggie.

I'm using these in a Sapac Viper with a CS 70mm 10 blade EDF with a EFlite BL32 motor (2150 KV). This batteries have plenty of power at a minimal weight (since I use them in 6S configuration). If I fly for 4.30 minutes they take back around 1800-2000 mah back. I normally keep my flights at 4.30 minutes or less to avoid long charging periods.
