Very happy with this motor. Supplied prop adapter takes a prop with a 10mm hole. Please note if using the supplied starmount you need to put some washer(s) between the supplied collar and the rear c clip to stop the collar rubbing on the star mount.

I ran some static tests with 8S(32.42V unloaded) 20-30C 3300MaH lipos. These tests show that given the maximum voltage(8S)you get about 7.4K RPM out of this motor. Certainly is underproped with two bladed 14" prop.

Prop: 14x10 APC E
Voltage: 27.86 V
Current: 27 A
RPM: 7395 RPM

Prop: 13x10 APC E
Voltage: 27.97 V
Current: 25.1 A
RPM: 7455 RPM

Pure Brute force on 16/10 APC prop on 6S3700. ESC is Turnigy 80 amp. Flying an 8 pound Astro-Hog Bipe like a rocket when needed. Almost vertical performance without excessive current draw. Batteries are just warm after 7 minute flight. ed

Using this motor in a Hangar 9 P-51 .60 glow to electric conversion. I beleive the 50-65A motor would be a better match. Higher KV would be better. Tried props from 15x10 thru 19x12 APC e . The best match is the 19x12 prop. All the other props are very low Amps and watts where around 900. With the 19x12 prop turns 1320 watts and 57 Amps at full throttle. I had to adjust the timing to high to get the engine to properly run at full throttle.

Using the following:-

Prop = TGS 18x12E
Lipo = 6s 5000mah zippy
Motor = Turnigy 50-65C 320kv
A/C = YT International zlin 50l 63" span
Power = 1033W
Current = 47A

With the above combination I can pull up vertical & keep going, flies nicely just under 1/2 throttle & I get 12 mins for 75% discharge on the 6s zippy packs.

This motor looks very good. It seems good machined and there where no vibrations during bench running. It requiers a rather large prop at 6S however. An 16/10 prop only draws 30 amps. Recomended is 19/1. I will try that. Recomended motor for 60 size acro machines.

Burned up

Built well, but cannot take 8S or 7S lipos. Burned up with a 15X8 3 blade. I bought four. The first froze with 8S. The second motor broke and took out the 90 amp controller with 7S.

Blue plastic strips are inside, between magnets to clean them, melted and froze motor.

Seems like a great motor. Good price and solid construction. All mounting hardware is included. I have gotten great runs with this motor in a CMP Zero 50" when used in conjunction with the Turnigy 100AMP ESC and 8s. This things screams!

Works just fine...flying a 1/5th scale cub on 8S 4000mah. Plenty of power for beyond scale flying! Great bang for your buck!

Installed this motor and within 2 minutes half of the magnets came loose. I am definitely not happy with HK's return policy. Why should I have to pay for shipping on a defective product? It's a time issue as much as a money issue. I now have a name brand motor backed by a company that will replace on they're dime if there is an issue.
The motor made great power until it died. I would use this motor again if better customer service....

Great motor, very powerful. I gave it four stars because on the first run, the magnets came loose. This was repaired with UHU Endfest 300 and baked in the oven for 5 min. on 180C. They will never come loose again. Motor pulls a 6 kg Svenson Fieseler Storch (2,36m span) with authority on 6s5000mAh, 80A esc end APC 18x10. Great stuff, very happy, have not been able to measure current yet.
