I don't know if this would be the best servo for this application, I have it in my rc car and some times it will not move and then jump to the correct position.
Building a GeeBee Sportster with a Turnigy Rotomax 1.6 up front. Need a reliable servo and have used BMS-621DMG HS High Speed Digital Servo(MG)10.4kg/.10sec/46.5g before with great success. Would like to use this servo in the GeeBee. Hoping HK will place in the UK Warehouse soon.
May someone uses this servo? Any free play in servo when it switched off and when switched on? Asking because turnigy servos got free play about 1-2 degrees. thanks.
I bought one of this and i use it on a 1:10 brushless touring car. i've not seen play during its steering job, and i've not seen play between swithed on, off and viceversa. I think this servo is a very good quality, price/quality value really high.
These servos can be voltage sensitive even when using 6v NiMh & 2S Life batteries because when freshly charged they can peak at 7.2v initially, install a UBEC to regulate the voltage to a constant 6v to protect your servos.
Whoa! Not a good servo! Not even five minutes into one of the servo's life as it was used as an elevator on my HK600 did it burn up and die! The other two servos for pitch and aile seem to be okay. This particular failure seems to be common for this servo when used on it's side as a elevator. This failure is also listed as being common in the reviews posted for this servo. I'm further disappointed as internally this servo looks to be well built. Would not recommend to a friend!
0.10 sec is a bit to slow for a gyro, go for some thing around 0.07 or lower
Anyway all the blue bird servos I have tried have failed soon after use. 0 stars
I have one of these on my HPI Blitz Short Course truck and it works great. Fast and accurate. A friend of mine also has one on his AE b4.1 buggy so it should work great on the durango.
It's better to have special tail servo. But this servo will work to but not as good as specialized servo.

17 thumbs up!
Using these on a Flybarless Hurricane 435 (also bought from UH... that's a GREAT product).
Probably done 12 or 15 flights and the elevator servo cooked itself today.. got so hot it melted the plastic case. I was lucky to get the heli down with minimal damage.
Taking them off the heli and going to use something else. Right now these servos fall intot he category of "false economy" when using on a heli.

Worked great for 5 flights on HK600GT cyclic then all three quit at the same time. (Not in flight). Returned to HK 2 months ago with RMA and haven't heard from them. Very disappointing. The servos were perfect before failure.

I have had 3 blue bird servos so far and they have all burnt out, the last one was only used on the throttle of my 1/5 baja buggy, lasted about 15 minuets.
Great looking servo, great price and specification. Shame the one I puchase does not work. Could be a faulty servo or not compatable with my Futaba R136F Receiver. Waiting for answer from HobbyKing and Blue Bird Technology.
