Not the very best servo but performance surpasses its value and price money.Have them on all gasolne 2m cub, pylons and sports planes with zero problem. One issue: no stock for very long time. Couldn't wait. Have already bought 10 SpringRC servos.
Victor  5 points - 12/7/2012

I must have a good one. Crashed several times on my tricopter due to cable ties to motor mounts breaking. Broke the casing again the last time. I realigned the gears & glued back the casing. Tricopter has flown 6 flights with no issues.
cuban8  94 points - 11/30/2012

Not impressed with these servos at all. Removed them from my HK 500 and found that one was operating with very reduced power. Avoid.
Rotceh_dnih  16 points - 10/27/2012

Pretty keen to find out when these will be back in stock , i've been watching them for over 3 weeks :0
 dangro 17 points
I have 3 pcs pdf them, but ive Never used them because of the Bad quality... Probably you should Choose some other servos.
 Rotceh_dnih 16 points
aw man now ya got me unsure about these servos , i read alot of people swear by them
 dangro 17 points
the upper and the lower parts of the case are not hinged, so they twist, the zero position is not so exact... i tried them in a 500 size heli and it was not that fun to fly. now i have some savö*x servos and the heli is doing what i want, and not what the servos want to do...
 Molari 13 points
I used them too, didn't need a click of subtrim on all of them. They perform and centered very well but are not the most reliable servo's. Two out of five malfunctioned during preflight check within six months. Will buy again though.
 Rotceh_dnih 16 points
Thanks you've eased my mind some , however i feel like im never going to get my order this "10-14 days" is cake! is there any way to get the real ETA for items?
 Rotceh_dnih 16 points
well i have asked and im sad to say HK don't even know how long , at least 2 weeks but could be 3,4,5,6,7 or up to 8 weeks till these servos are back in stock. maybe cya next year :(

I am desperate to know the frequency used by this servo in order to use it with my Microbeast V2. Would anyone happen to know the answer to that? Thanks!
 honore 4 points
use 1520us frequency not 720us
 Chris 8 points
The frequency is 300-333hz. I've even used at 200hz with a BeastX and it worked fine.

Will the Futaba CNC Alloy Servo Arm work on this servo?
 CoreyH 18 points
Futaba servo arms work on these servo's yes
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 Chris 8 points
Yes, a very close copy of the Futaba servo, the arms fit perfect just be sure to use the screws that come with the servo for the centre.
Davidds0  11 points - 8/18/2012

does anybody know whats this servo's max current need? can it be over 1 amp?
 Chris 8 points
Aslong as your voltage doesn't go over 6.0 it should be fine.
vatsa  3 points - 7/16/2012

Hi, I purchased these recently. There are a lot of speculation related to the servo horns. I wanted to use this on the T500 Heli but, no use, they are short, hence you will not get full range. i re-iterate, Servo horns are still short. I'm stick trying to figure out which servo arm to buy. If you are planning to buy this one for you 500 size electric better get a pair for servo horns as well. Thanks
torcida  13 points - 7/3/2012

Would this work on HK-500 heli as a tail servo
 Slopehog 1 points
Use a high speed gyro servo it will give you quicker response ive got the TGY-S306G in my 500 tail and it works a treat
 TheScud 26 points
Slopehog is exactly correct - you would probably want faster in a 500 series performance heli.. However, the MG930 is a fantastic little servo, and honestly, I think it's better than many out there for double/triple the price. It would certainly work as a tail servo, just not as potentially fast as a real high-speed. FYI, since the question is about the MG930 particularly, I can tell you the MG930 has a particularly GOOD resolution, and that's why it's better than so many others out there, ev

Does anyone know where to buy spare servo horns for this servo?
Thanks
 Johan 15 points
I think standard JR horns fit onto it.
 Robert 1 points
Let me know if they do!
 DerClown 44 points
Actualy this servo use Futaba horns. I already changed mine stock ones to Futaba ones.

 Peter 5 points
here is the link for Turnigy spare www.link there aren´t parts for your MG930 - perhaps you should ask the support-team! I have seen it on eb.. too!
Rodrigo  1 points - 4/6/2012

Is it suitable in an airplane?
 fireball412 414 points
It definitely is. It is may be the most precise and powerful servo sold by HK. Of course, the size of the plane must match. It is good for gliders with 3m wing span and motor models with around 1.5m wing span. Just a rough estimate.

 hugrp 1 points
Yes, besides being a great servo to helicopter will also serve perfectly in your aircraft
 kekelala 307 points
I use these on 2m 26cc cub with no issue.
Angela  3 points - 3/29/2012

How much is the real weigth, 26gr. or 53gr. :-?
 fireball412 414 points
It is exactly 27.1g with wires and servo arm.
 cyberbug001 2 points
53g is the total weight with the packaging, servo arms and hardware.
 Peter 5 points
26gr. 53gr is within package.

The new Turnigy named MG930's are supplied with servo horns which will give the 16-16.5mm ball location. No need to get Futaba horns any more. Wires are long enough to reach the underside of the servo tray now as well. No extra parts needed!

Good news! I have just received the latest version of the MG930 - now branded turnigy (not towerpro) the my two gripes have been resolved - the arms supplied are now big enough and the wires are double the length! Well done hobbyking!!!!

Gears feel and sound good .Fit the frames perfect.Servo wire is 3 inches too short have to use extensions on three servos .Servo arms can only go out to 15 mm ,need 16.5 mm to get proper setup.Need to use longer arms to clear the top of the servo at full pitch (hits the side of the servo )

These servos are strong, smooth and work well - the accessories are less good as others have said for a Trex 500, EXI 500 or HK 500 buy a set of align servo arms (type H50113) for easy setup. The wires are too short - however if you mount the receiver where you would normally mount the gyro then extension leads can be avoided.

very good choice for a HK500GT... even on the tail, for quiet fliying at least... I hate 3D...

Fast, no play at all, very good centering.

Perfect for me, and price is more than OK.
