TIP: Hobby King should make a metal plate for this mount to go underneath and use with screws.

i mounted my motor with only one screw and it works great ,...
 Sally 659 points
Mar11 really. Well ONE screw my hold it but one day it will come loose then you will have wished you put in the other 2. I do think you are very BRAVE!
 Mar11 1975 points
you've got a point there.. but still one screw.. anyway will let you know when that day comes :)

What are the screws that come with this?
 Sally 659 points

will it fit a 39mm diam. 53mm length 210 gram weight motor
 Sally 659 points
It will fit inside the legs but your mount holes will not line up. So not so good.
Nads1  11 points - 5/29/2012

Hi, Does it fit a motor of : Motor Diameter (mm): 28 Motor Length (mm): 58
 dibedu 117 points
yes. it fits till 30mm
 Sally 659 points
I find it may fit but the engine mounts are a bit wide. It is meant to replace with a larger electric motor like a 36XX.

it is only for 3 hole motor mount??
 ImWildBill 2 points
This works on 4 hole motors, most motors have an X piece that comes with it, I just used the three holes. It worked fine for me. Just remember to really use plenty of glue/epoxy to fasten the mount to your plane! I used glue to hold it in place then added several layers of hot glue over it. There is a HUGE amount of torque being put on the mount. Good luck!
 Sally 659 points
So we do agree. You only see 3 holes because that is all there is. I found it is just enough. The four mount hole is left in the air and it does need you to keep am eye on it. It does tend to come lose after 3 or 4 flights,
rromans  17 points - 3/30/2012

why not provide this frame with NO holes so one can drill their own holes to fit. Also provide enough metal to drill all 4 holes to mount motor on frame.
 MarceloMMY 93 points
i dont know, they made this holes to facility the users.
 Sally 659 points
Yes that would be nice but if you want DIY then cut your own out of a sheet of alloy. So you just buy one and use it as a pattern.

Excellent finish, despite having been missing a screw in one of two acquired units still recommend it.

Is it easy to burr trought this mount? to make own holes?
 Daniel 10 points
its pretty hard metal im sure you can drill throught it fine as long as you have something to help keep it steady but it has several different holes on it to help with mounting on different surfaces

I have a pt-40 trainer gas with a gas mount in it. Has anyone tried using two of these mounted upsidedown to each other in a gas .40 size conversion to electric . Having two , upside down would allow for mounting to all 4 holes on the electric motor if there is enough room ..?

4 thumbs up!
Nice and strong mount. Very light, The mounting holes are perfect if your mounting a tunigy 22-xx
or a 28-xx, it only allows 3 screws to mount up these motors. You can only fit 2 screws in a Tunigy 35-xx, not the best idea for a high power motors.

Thank HK for the mount. I converted a trainer with a brushed motor to a brushless.

Stronger than it looks in the pic. Using it to convert a small 25 size glow plane to electrics. This mount made it possible to mount the motor in glow engine mount without making extensive mods.
