I have Windows 7 Premium Home Edition 64bit. The software for the T-6A radio will not install correctly nor does the USB data cable show up. It is not for my operating system. Any help!

Daniel you are not the first to have this issue. In the "Purple File Tab" above, is a file called "File contains link to driver - too big t" (It is the first file). It is a text file and has the web address for the files, that work on Win7. I hope this helps.

Hi, I live in Australia and have just purchased one of these units. I am looking for the correct cable to programme the unit, hopefully available in Aust, can you advise which one I should purchase? Also while it isn't a complicated unit, do you have a user manual for it? This would be handy for matching new receivers
 NewToHobbyKing 14738 points
Nichok the cable is not in the Aus Warehouse sadly but it is only $4 postage. You need Hobby King 2.4Ghz 6Ch Tx USB Cable (SKU: FS-L001). Now if you look in the "Purple File Tab" here or in the mode 2 listing you will find a Manual you can down load!

is this good for a quadcopter
 Nico 17 points
Yes, I use this setup with my quadcopter and tricopter. You have two extra channels, the two nobs at the top - if you want to control additional things. Such as pan/tilt camera servos. Note that there is a mode 1 and mode 2, the throttle is on the right for mode 1 and on the left for mode 2. Hope this helps!
 NewToHobbyKing 14738 points
Lachlan yes it is but you need a Flight Control Board (FCB) like the KK2.1.
 Lachlan 31 points
Cool that the one I got (Kk2.1

Well you are good then. Just test your RC System before you fit to your Quad. They come pre bound but you need to know it works first. A Servo, Receiver Battery (or just a ESC/with uBec and Motor with prop off) will do. Then you will need to know how to ARM your KK2.1 FCB board.

Sorry Happy New Year!

Hi, I am new to this RC world, I purchased one TX & RX radio and receiver and connected to my RC plane but the throttle channel (Channel No:3) is not working. Is there any way to reprogram / Rest the receiver? Motor: A2212- 1000 kv ESC: hobby king 30 A UBEC Lipo: 11.1 V 3 cell Radio: hobby king 6 channel TX & RX
 NewToHobbyKing 14738 points
First just check you have the Throttle a Zero (Full Down) and you do not have the Motor Kill Switch ON (Top Left hand side, needs to be full back, to be off). If that does not help then:::::: Sajith is every thing else working? If you yes then do a servo test first. (Remove Prop) Plug the ESC into another channel (Channel 5 or 6 would be good for easy control. Any other channel will cause the motor to spin to half speed), plug a servo into channel 3. See if channel moves. If so all good it is more, than likely CH3 is reversed. So you will need:: Hobby King 2.4Ghz 6Ch Tx USB Cable (SKU: FS-L001). Also the Software and Drivers found under the "Purple File Tab".

I have one of these under a different badge and 3 extra receivers in planes to match. Excellent value basic 2.4G set, decent feel, 8xAA. Only store one model memory at a time on board, back to PC to swap models. I just set all my planes to the same config (delta mix). 10plus hours fly time to 200Meters, nil glitches, cool.
On my software version: ACRO or Heli modes, Dual rates, no expo, 3 mixes (your selection), end stop, trim. Well worth it.

A VERY nice product at a great price ( if you can bundle it with other things..) but Oh!.. no manual and no application software? And no mention of either or how to get it?? Not like you blokes to be so remiss..
Anyway..1 star off for being slack.
For those wanting the manual ( mentioned under the Mode 2 reviews) or the t6 config.exe file ( see top left corner of screen shot of setup page above) you can get links and some tips here... hobbycit

Continued: The programing cable doesn't double as a sim cable. I would love a trainer cable but don't know that the software has been upgraded to utilise Switchs A or B for trainer (my software only allows switches selectable as "throttle cut" or "Dual rates" in ACRO (plane) mode).

This radio still has a lot to offer, decent quality, reliable operation and AWSOME VALUE for a budget 2.4G system.
