With v2 firmware update, correcting many flaws of the previous 9X, plus inbuilt 2.4Ghz (no daggy second antenna) this is a quality, reliable 2.4Ghz system suitable for beginners and pro pilots alike. Get that locked-in feeling that only 2.4Ghz glitch free technology can provide. Ultra fast reaction times and interference free control of your model is only achievable with this 2.4Ghz technology.
Without a doubt, the best value 9Ch system available!

Important. The TURNIGY 9X has been reflashed with the new v2 firmware, fixing previous menu and mixing issues. This firmware flash is only available from our TURNIGY 9X system as we flash each unit in our office before it is shipped. Purchases of any other rebranded version of the TURNIGY 9X will not have the latest firmware and patches(even the OEM factory does not have these updates).
NOTE: "SWITCH ERROR" means you have one of the switches in the wrong position when you turn the radio on. It is not a fault.
I think i may have confused you by using this product which is MODE 1 as my query, when i actually bought product no SKU-TX-9X-M2, the same transmitter and reciver BUT MODE 2. If so i apologise for the confusion.. As i mentioned previously i have used elevon mix on my 35 Mg FutabarT6EXA which is MODE 2 ie elevator and aileron on right stick and connecting to channel 1 and 2 accordingly. i had to decide which channel was the master and which the slave on the Futaba system..Does the fact i used the wrong product model for my query afect your advice, if so i once aain apologise and i hope this makes things clearer.
I have just recieved my Turnigy 9X transmitter and 3 extra servos and instlled them in 4 models, 3 of which use standard controls services and work well, but the forth model only has a V tail without aierons. i have successfully flown this with my old 35mg radio but cannot get the program the 9X transmitter elevon mode ie mix the ailerons and elevators. I have conected separate sevos to the aileron and elevotor channels to the reciever and selcted the elevon mode on the transmitter selected "act" and typed varios numbers to aileron 1 and 2 and elevator 1 nad 2. I can get both sides of the V to operate as elevitors in the right sense, but when i try ailerons nothing works. i have also tried various other options but with similar results.
Can anyone help please
thank you for your advice, however as i understand it i will have to control pitch with my right hand and roll with my left hand( mode 2). i would prefer to use both with my right hand as this is what i am used to . On my old futabar 6Es transmitter i could do this by using elevon mix and i woluld prefer to do the same with my tutnigy 9X. Can i still cotrol both pitch and roll with my right hand ( mode 2) or do i HAVE to control ptich with my right hand and roll with my leftl
So you say you have done this before. On a V-tail plane you used a Elevon Mix?? Now this RC System is AETR. So if you setup Elevon you have Ailerons on the Right Stick and Elevator on the Left. With V tail you have the Elevator and Rudder on the left Stick. Ch1= Ail, Ch2= Ele, Ch3= Thr and Ch4= Rud.
One part of this site says these are back ordered, one part says they're in stock. I just received on that's broken and I have an RMA - going out tomorrow, can anyone tell me how long to exchange this. or should I order something else?
I purchased this radio and my quadcopter will randomly lose signal and fall out of the sky. I am not flying further than 20 yards when this happens. When I received the unit the heat shrink was kinked so I cut it off and straightened the antenna on the receiver. Is anyone else experiencing momentary control drop outs? My video screen does not go down when it happens so I can safely rule out a power malfunction. I am afraid to really fly until I get it fixed...
Blake if you had not altered the Receiver Antenna, you could have gotten a replacement, Receiver, under warranty. (You could still try). Buy a new receiver. Under $10. (If you were in OZ I would send you one). A new receiver would be a cheap way to test if your, Tx or Rx is faulty. (Contact live CS too for some help). I have tested mine,up to 300m, others have reported much more! (It does sound like a Antenna ISSUE because 20m is what you get on a TEST, When you bypass the Antenna on the Tx). Some have had the same issue. But Me, only when the Receiver (Rx) antenna is damaged.
i bought this transmitter ..........to be frank so disappointed with it that it feels like waste of money ....there is no HOBBYKING SUPPORT IN TROUBLE SHOOTIN IT .......with all the connection done properly I still UNABLE TO arm my kk koard for my tricopter n quadcopter. DEAR HOBBY KING CAN U PLZ LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND PUBLISH A GUIDE OR VIDEO ON HOW TO ARM KK BOARD WITH THIS TX (A STEP BY STEP GUIDE ).
PS- IF CANT HELP ON THIS THEN PLZ STOP SELLING THIS PIECE OF ****...CHEERS
Winnie I am so sorry. Here Members help Members. The first thing you need to do with your Turnigy9XV2, before you connect it to your KK board, is TEST your Rc System first. You must go from a known to unknown. KK Flight Control Boards (FCB) are a little tricky if you know how to use your Rc System but if you have not even use the Rc System, it is no wonder you are tearing your hair out. So get a servo and test your Turnigy9XV2 first. (You may need to bind). You do need to set it to Acro (Plane) mode, not heli, mode. Now go to You Tubes, for a tone of videos on any item, about this Rc System or your FCB. Lastly I have a simple, colour manual, I can send you. Just PM me in the Members Forum.
I bought this to supersede the HK-T4A transmitter. It comes as a bare transmitter - no batteries, no charger, no instruction manual, and no module (not even 72MHz). This is all OK, as I only use Lipo batteries, hate the cheap transmitter chargers, and ordered an Assan 2.4GHz JR-type module along with the order. Hobby King were up-front with all of this from the start, except the lack of a manual. The manual is available online, as the IMax 9, and the lack of a manual saved me further shipping dollars - a big factor in ordering something cheap.
The good news, it's not a cheap-feeling radio. The gymbals are really smooth, almost to the same standard as my Futaba 9C. Even the throttle ratchet is quite smooth, which is essential for heli flying. The case is plastic, but it feels nice in my hands.
Control with the Assan module was absolutely locked in. The availability of exponential restored my Shocky back to the smooth flying wonder I had originally built (with the HK-T4A I could not get it to fly smooth - I've become addicted to expo). The precision was also really noticable as I fed in gentle "tickles" on the sticks. Outstanding!
The misses (deduct one star): IF YOU USE EXPO YOU CANNOT USE DUAL RATES!!!! Even 1pcnt of expo disengages any dual-rate settings, even though the rate settings are still there on the screen. I was initially really disappointed about this, until I realised that I hardly ever use dual rates. If you depend on dual rates, this is a FATAL

21 thumbs up!
This 9 Channel Transmitter is excellent, I am using this unit with the FRFRY 2.4Ghz module (JR compatible) and it work smoothly, I prefer the FRFRY over the Corona because the FRFRY is a TRUE Frequency Hopping system (very much like the FUTABA FAST) and is smoother on the servos, Also tested the Dual Rate and Expo and contrary to some reviews in my case work perfectly, remember to channel one at the time (expo or dual rate) and get out of the me
