With v2 firmware update, correcting many flaws of the previous 9X, plus inbuilt 2.4Ghz (no daggy second antenna) this is a quality, reliable 2.4Ghz system suitable for beginners and pro pilots alike. Get that locked-in feeling that only 2.4Ghz glitch free technology can provide. Ultra fast reaction times and interference free control of your model is only achievable with this 2.4Ghz technology.
Without a doubt, the best value 9Ch system available!

Important. The TURNIGY 9X has been reflashed with the new v2 firmware, fixing previous menu and mixing issues. This firmware flash is only available from our TURNIGY 9X system as we flash each unit in our office before it is shipped. Purchases of any other rebranded version of the TURNIGY 9X will not have the latest firmware and patches(even the OEM factory does not have these updates).
NOTE: "SWITCH ERROR" means you have one of the switches in the wrong position when you turn the radio on. It is not a fault.
You can use it as far as you can see your model. People says it's 1-1.5km with no problem. Some people report that they got 2 km with fpv equipment that I didn't have that time, so I can't confirm. Anyway, you can enhance the range by upgrading transmitting module and/or antennas.
Hi, if anyone can help. My 9x has a problem, it has a mind of its own! Very jittery on the servos and pushes servos past their programmed limit, has 3 positions on throttle, full- idle, full- idle, full- idle as you push the stick from idle io full. I've tried a working receiver, rf module and a new motherboard, any ideas what might be faulty? Any advice other than bin it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Try to repeat all of this in the field - far away from the city, wi-fi adaptors and other noisy stuff. You csn also try to reset all models settings - looks like something is in the mix with throttle channel.
You can buy any mode, because you can change it after. Main difference is a throttle stick - the stick that doesn't return to center position automatically. Mode 1 and 2 means where this stick is located - on the left or right side. It doesn't matter because you can disassemble transmitter and swap returning spring on any side you want. This model exactly have throttle stick on the right and I replaced it to the left with a videomanual found on youtube. It's really easy to do.
I bought this to supersede the HK-T4A transmitter. It comes as a bare transmitter - no batteries, no charger, no instruction manual, and no module (not even 72MHz). This is all OK, as I only use Lipo batteries, hate the cheap transmitter chargers, and ordered an Assan 2.4GHz JR-type module along with the order. Hobby King were up-front with all of this from the start, except the lack of a manual. The manual is available online, as the IMax 9, and the lack of a manual saved me further shipping dollars - a big factor in ordering something cheap.
The good news, it's not a cheap-feeling radio. The gymbals are really smooth, almost to the same standard as my Futaba 9C. Even the throttle ratchet is quite smooth, which is essential for heli flying. The case is plastic, but it feels nice in my hands.
Control with the Assan module was absolutely locked in. The availability of exponential restored my Shocky back to the smooth flying wonder I had originally built (with the HK-T4A I could not get it to fly smooth - I've become addicted to expo). The precision was also really noticable as I fed in gentle "tickles" on the sticks. Outstanding!
The misses (deduct one star): IF YOU USE EXPO YOU CANNOT USE DUAL RATES!!!! Even 1pcnt of expo disengages any dual-rate settings, even though the rate settings are still there on the screen. I was initially really disappointed about this, until I realised that I hardly ever use dual rates. If you depend on dual rates, this is a FATAL

This 9 Channel Transmitter is excellent, I am using this unit with the FRFRY 2.4Ghz module (JR compatible) and it work smoothly, I prefer the FRFRY over the Corona because the FRFRY is a TRUE Frequency Hopping system (very much like the FUTABA FAST) and is smoother on the servos, Also tested the Dual Rate and Expo and contrary to some reviews in my case work perfectly, remember to channel one at the time (expo or dual rate) and get out of the me

The transmitter is super. He works with Graupner / IR modules 35MHz/40MHz and Corona / TGY 2.4 GHz einwandfrei.I 've seen here Manual? http://www.skyrc.us/pdf/imax9x.pdf
