If the cells are good quality you shuol be able to charge it without balancing. If you really want a balance plug you can add one by ripping off the PVC coating installing the wires and plug then re-shrink wrapping it with New PVC shrink wrap. Many online battery places cell it. Be shure to wire it right. Each set of wires on the plug go to the & - of each battery.

Woops sorry if this is a Li-po then the cells are closed inside and no wiring can be done to the cells.

I just ordered the battery in a few weeks I will be able to tell you if it fits into the Futaba 12FG transmitter. The size is perfect the only thing I am worried about is that the stock battery is curved and not square on the sides. If the compartment is curved ti might not fit. I have to try it ass theres no 2cell lypos out there this exact size and my stock NIMH pack is going bad. I think this transmitter was designed for a Lipo. There's an exact Lion replacment from Germany for $100- too expensive.

I have been using trhis battery in my 12FG for a few months now. You have to sand down the plastic flanges in the battery compartment so they won't eat into the battery pack, I also put some electric tape on the back of the pack. The transmitter battery door doesn't want to close securly like it does with the stock one so I added a few pieces of electric tape across the door to keep it closed. Good power for the transmitter starts at 8.2volts then drops to 8v and stays there. Havent checked how long it will transmit on a full pack yet but I have flown for hours with no problem.

Do you think 12FG and 8FG has the same battery? 8FG uses 6S NiMH. If so, I can use it on my 8FG. How long the battery last on 12FG?

I heard there the same but measure the stock pack and check the dimentions of the battery on this page. I have since got another 5C 2cell 7.4 volt lipo battery for the 12FG and it has a balance plug and it's alot smaller. I think that one would fit into any radio. The drawback is that it doesn't last as long as this VoltOn Pack. It lasts around 6 hours before getting down to 7.4volts. The oothe battery is a PowerEdge 7.4volt 2600mah pack.

You have to measure your battery compartment in the radio and find a battery to fit it. Tere's many different sizes of 2 cell lipo batteries that you can use. Just make sure there Low C like 5C would be perfect. You don't want a high amp battery in your radio. It's always better to get a lipo that is specificly for a transmitter.

The 12FG and the 8FG use the same battery so the compartments are the same.
