QUIK-CURE 5 min. epoxy cures to a slightly flexible consistency. This lack of brittleness allows it to form a lasting bond in areas subjected to high vibration or stress. QUIK-CURE shouldnt be used in areas that are subject to long-term immersion in water; however, it works fine for the internal structure of wood framed boats. QUIKCURE is our only epoxy on which you can apply polyester resins. It can be mixed with microballoons to form a quick setting putty. Items bonded with QUIK-CURE can be handled after 15 minutes. Full strength is reached in 1 hour.
Hi essadik gx, This will do a good job for assembling the Bixler, but you need to work very fast. If you use it a temps above 25 degrees (C) it will set up in 5 minutes which doesn't give you much time to work. If you haven't built any planes before and you're unsure of your skills you might want to use the 30 minute epoxy (PRODUCT ID: HK-205). Cheers, EA!
I made my bixler with 30min epoxy but I put my axn together with the contact adhesive that came with it.
Axn is stuck together nicely and contact adhesive is much easier to work with *)
Hi pils070, I think we all want to see it in our local warehouse. I would love to see it in the Australia warehouse, but it's still a bargain, even with the shipping cost, from the HK warehouse. Cheers, EA!
very good epoxy and will work fine for your needs..just be sure and test fit everthing befor hand pcnt minutes does not give much time for correcting mistakes
It has to be fast, preferably riding his glider Bixler two people, it is large and has to be pasted at once, this glue is very good yes, and if you want to use a battery with 2200 3s, is much more effective , ai before pasting you take the weight of the washers, if you use the battery in 1300 let the washers, but I recommend removing the washers and use of 2200, is a glider that you can stay on top about 50 minutes.
Hi!
Yes, it's completely foam safe.
However, a better choice could be a foam specific glue like UHU Por, which is more elastic and maintains the foamy springness. Epoxy bonds may be a bit brittle.
Take care!
What do you mean by long BK time. I have used this Epoxy Cure quite a lot and it performs great with a very fast curing time (less than 5 min). It is made in USA by Bob and Smith Industry. One of the best money can buy
I found the bonding strength is not that great on EPP - I have an Extra300S, which has landed on the nose FAST a number of times, so I built a motor foundation with balsa and a layer of fine fiberglass. The next hard landing delaminated the fiberglass from the EPP plane core without pulling as much as a grain of EPP off it. But it does not eat the EPP, if that's the concern.
Yes you can I use it all time to repair my Parkzone raiden and if its really bad damage I also sue some light fiberglass mest with the epoxy Australia.
