I have the bixler with this transmitter, I want to upgrade to the orange t-six but i was just wondering which one is more reliable because people with the orange t-six sometimes complain about shadowing problems. Beacuse I don't want it to crash.
Joshus why not consider a 9XR with a Orange Module (Spektrum DSM Compatible). The receiver that cam with your Bixler is not Spektrum compatible but if you were to go Turnigy9XV2 the Bixler Receiver would be userable still. Please consider.
Can you send me a link for trainer cord for this transmitter and yes it will take a cord . on the back it says trainer . Hello. I have this Tx lying around from my Bixler and want to use it as a slave buddy box to hook up to my 9XR. I looked on the back and it seems to have a S-VIDEO Style trainer port. I was wondering what cable I should use to connect it to my 9XR, which has a 3.5mm JR and a Square Futaba Trainer port.

I tried to use my USB from my 6 channel and T6Config, and burned up the USB cable. I can't guarantee this was the cause, but as soon as I plugged it in the Serial converter (USB end) got extremely hot, smelled like burnt plastic, and would no longer work.

Efi sorry not for this Transmitter. This is a very simple TX. So if you wish to reduce the rate you will have to do it at the Servo and control horns. Good Flying!

Hello Everyone, I got this radio with a RTF Bixler 6 months ago to allow me to learn to fly. With help from a very good instructor, I can now fly quite well. This radio is fantastic! The club that I visit uses expensive radio equipment, several radio related crashes have happened, so what's going on? After purchasing extra receivers, I now fly 3 aircraft with this 4 channel set, I have also fitted a 3s transmitter lipo and never had a glitch.
im not sure maybe the frequency this operates at is a problem or the club you're flying with has a deal with the company that sells those expensive system to keep small timers like yourself out unless you buy their gear... don't know its plausible though
Congrats on learning to fly. :D I can't see why this tx wouldn't be approved, it operates on the same 2.4 frequency. Hmm, my guess would be because it's a "$20" tx. Not all clubs are like this but the one I grew up flying in was very traditional. Unless you had a .40 sized trainer, most of the instructors wouldn't give you the time or day. I imagine the club you speak of is the same way. I no longer fly with those guys, my backyard is all I need now, but I could easily see them implementing such a silly rule "No $20 tx's allowed." That being said, it is a $20 tx and you really can't compare it to a JR or Futaba tx (even a Turnigy 9X for that matter). It's great for beginners and for flying foamies around, but I could never trust this system in my .60 balsa F4U Corsair.
MohElg yes you can. But this is only a 4 channel Transmitter with no mixing, so you will need to use a Y lead so the two servos go to the same channel!
Hi MohElg, I'll try to help you with the correct information. You will need to ensure you servos are mounted in opposite directions when you use a Y cable for you ailerons. Many kit planes will already have the holes for the servos cut to ensure you put the servos in opposite directions. Arms either face each other or point away from each other you will be OK. Never install them with the servo arm ends of the servos both pointing left or right otherwise your ailerons will act as flaps. Good luck and happy flying.
Actually MohElg, The AA size is also used with nicads and Nimh batteries and eight of each of those would only give 9.6 volts. But don't panic because these radios only really need 5 volts to power them so 9.6 will do the job. If you are unsure of how to solder the connectors to a LiFe battery (much safer than a lipo) then ask a friend with a good soldering iron and can use it properly to wire up the plug you require for you. It should only take a few minutes. Using these batteries are much better than single AA cells because connections between each battery can get dirty and not make contact, plus the packs last much longer in between recharging.

Hi all does anyone know how or if this can be used as a flight sim controller ? I have a cable for it but can't seem to get it to work. I tried it with desk top pilot sim and FMS sim but no luck
Steven yes as Rexy03 said, you can bind as many receiver as you like. As far as the Plane setup, you can save many different setups, (Not on the Tx but)on your computer. You will need the PC Cable to do so. I find the rang is about 700m to 900m too.
I want to use this transmitter in a buddy box/trainerbox set-up, that is I want this transmitter to be the teacher, but I'm not sure which cable I need to connect it to the student transmitter, and I'm not sure if I just need to get 2 of these and use the 2nd one for the student box.
What is a fairly cheap way to get a teacher/student transmitter set-up?

Jaylee when you have a USB lead that fits is it like the one HobbyKing sells. It must have a USB to serial converter built into the USB end and you need the drivers!
Jaylee it does not have a range test. It has to be manual. I tested mine to about 650m and it still worked. So get a friend and a Mobile Phone and go for walk!

HELLO ALL, i am strugling to configure the radio for my tricopter. I do not know what parameters to give for the different channels in the configurations software. I tried some but the motors each motor starts to spin at different trottle level. I think this is because of wrong channels set up or maybe not calibrated ESCs.. Can someone help me with info how to configure the radio with the T6 software. My radio is acctually flysky ctb6 but i do not see any difference between. MANY THANKS
Nukii your ESCs should not got to you receiver but to you filght controller board (FCB). You set your Tx (Transmitter) as if it was a plane. The FCB does all the hard work. We have a few members having problems with the same thing. So what FCB do you have is?. Please note there is a Members Forum (Blue tab at top of Page) for more help.

Nukii this is a Flight Controller Board (FCB) problem. So can we please consider chatting on the FCB area. You need to make sure the FCB is setup correctly then we can look else where! So what FCB are you using PLEASE? Once we are sure the FCB is correct we can check your ESCs too.

It really makes me sick that some scammer can get kicked off twice and sneak back here and starts thinking it's running the place. I've been putting up with this moron for around 12 months in all and it was under 3 of it's IDs. It thinks it's home free at the moment, hence the backchat and stupid accusations. Mate, I've had the lot, bribery, no end of pleading for forgiveness, BS stories of owning 135 planes. Every time it posts it's got the same plane. It was the running a big flying club in Brisbane at one stage and an Indian gentleman was visiting his son and was upset because he couldn't get out flying so he spent days making phonecalls checking Kellyann out. Not one flyer he spoke to had ever heard of him\her\it. He even got his son involved (police sergeant) and he came up with nothing and he even spoke to the suburb it lives in Police station, the roll was checked and nobody fitting her name and age etc. even came close. I ended up inviting him to come down to stay here and go flying with the boys and he was about to catch the bus and he was called back to India, some family crisis. It is not in Australia. It's played around with my points which I reported to HK. It's managed to get 6255 points in 7 to 8 months which is strange because most legitimate Pro Contributors take a year or more to become one and get 1,000 points. It manages to get 16000 as Kellyann and 6000 as NNTHK. That's an absolute impossible 22000 points in less than 2 1/2 years. We all know it can't be done. Very few people have time for it so it feeds off newbies. The longer serving members will have nothing to do with it. Notice it still hasn't mentioned the 10 IDs I have. That's one of it's silly little games. It's played the same games over and over. began in HobbyKing something like 5 years ago. After 2 I changed my ID to Waterlogged because I was into boats. I've used the same ID ever since. So remember this, anything it says, including most of it's answers to newbies is 100% BS. I've had enough of it and any emails telling me it's answered get trashed before I see it. But I won't give up watching it. A few guys keep me updated on heliplanes at yah oo dot co m. Great product, easy to bind and great range/response.
just because some people were having trouble,
TO BIND: 1. connect the Rx to a Battery notice the blinking led 2. hold down the bind button on the bottom of the controller 3. turn on the controller while holding down the bind button and watch the led 4. when it stops blinking you are done (less than 5 secs for me). 3. t

1. Batteries in transmitter, switch off. 2. Connect one side of the bind plug to the BAT slot on the receiver. 3. Connect an ESC (with battery attached) to one of the channels. Black line (-) goes to the far right. You will see a red LED blinking. 4. Push and hold down the bind button on the transmitter while switching on. Keep the bind button held down until the red LED stops blinking. You are now ready to enjoy your wonderful new 2.4GHz TX.

After a range test the club members were impressed by its performance. Hand signals to confirm its function were hardly seen on the end of the test so we stopped it. No servo-vibrations were noticed during this test so the signal stayed clear overall. The 3 test flights afterwards only confirmed the first experiment. Five stars for doing its job but what a pity no instructions are available. Very pleased with this purchase.

Awesome price! I love this radio and I also got 2 extra receivers. I am flying indoor and the receiver case can be easily removed to save weight. I also have another 6ch USB computer radio that binds to these recievers and workd with all 6 channels. Hobby City needs 6ch mixing version.
