Can this be used in cars? I'm looking for a cheap 2.4Ghz Stick Radio for my RC car. I don't really like those gun type with a wheel radio.

it should work
 NewToHobbyKing 14143 points
Angel yes you can. But no fail safe though. You can use " HobbyKing®* ™* GT-2 2.4Ghz Receiver 3Ch (SKU: HK-GT2_RX)". It does work with this Transmitter and it does have a built in Fail Safe.

Thanks, but is there a way to lock the sticks to only move up and down for the throttle and left and right for the steering? Also does it have a centering springs for both sticks? Thanks.
 NewToHobbyKing 14143 points
Angel thanks and no centering spring on Throttle. You can not lock them either but I am sure you can make a work around. Like using the Right lever for throttle. Or move the spring! You can just use 2 channels if you like. So one lever steers and one lever powers!

How would I connect the transmitter and the receiver when they both are on. When I power it I see a blinking red light and how to I connect the controller to the receiver to get the non blinking red light.
 NewToHobbyKing 14143 points
Alan you need to Bind the receiver to the Transmitter. So to start by unplug everything. Fit bind plug to the Receiver. Power up the receiver. The Receiver led should be flashing. Now hold bind button down on the Transmitter. Holding down, turn on the Transmitter. After a few seconds the Receiver led should go solid. Remove bind plug and then power down. You are now bound!

VR(B) and VR(A) not working on Transmitter. I can mix these to see them work. I also do not see any action on the T6config screen unless I mix them. Is it broken or a setting problem?
 NewToHobbyKing 14143 points
Vince this is fine. You must assign channel 5 and 6 to something. If you assign them to the Vrs then that is is fine. This is just how it work.
 NewToHobbyKing 14143 points
But this is a 4 Channel Rc System. The Vrs are for a 6 Channel Rc System. Which do you have.

do all your radio's come with both stick's spring loaded
 NewToHobbyKing 14143 points
Douglas no. This is a Mode 2 so the Left Lever (in the up and down direction) does not have a spring. All the other movement does!

4. when it stops blinking you are done (less than 5 secs for me).

1. Batteries in transmitter, switch off.
2. Connect one side of the bind plug to the BAT slot on the receiver.
3. Connect an ESC (with battery attached) to one of the channels. Black line (-) goes to the far right. You will see a red LED blinking.
4. Push and hold down the bind button on the transmitter while switching on. Keep the bind button held down until the red LED stops blinking. You are now ready to enjoy your wonderful new 2.4GHz TX.

After a range test the club members were impressed by its performance. Hand signals to confirm its function were hardly seen on the end of the test so we stopped it. No servo-vibrations were noticed during this test so the signal stayed clear overall. The 3 test flights afterwards only confirmed the first experiment. Five stars for doing its job but what a pity no instructions are available.
Very pleased with this purchase.

Awesome price! I love this radio and I also got 2 extra receivers. I am flying indoor and the receiver case can be easily removed to save weight. I also have another 6ch USB computer radio that binds to these recievers and workd with all 6 channels. Hobby City needs 6ch mixing version.
