hey basil,if your a newbie to all this ,you need to get some info, what lipo ,esc your going to use for motor.best advice i can give you is log on to hk forum(if you can )go to beginners area ,How to choose an electric power system.if your not, look at the reveiws for the motor to get a general idea(static test) of what people are using with their setups.that's good it has a recommended prop/no max amps.the hk video reveiw for your motor (has static test done) happy flying.
If you can provide a little more information about the motor, that would be great. If this prop would be OK for the motor depends on the motor specs - watts, maxs amps, weight.
In that case, I believe it should be OK for this motor. I would also advise you to get some 4.75x4.75 props as well as this 5x5 prop, just in case this prop turns out to be too big. Also, if you do not have a watt meter I suggest that you get one and measure amp draw with each prop to determine which one would be best fit.
i use 2 types ,Prop adapter w/ Alu Cone 3/16x32-3mm shaft ( and Prop Saver w/ Band 3mm (10pcs) these propellers come with hole adapters to fit different shaft sizes.if its a prop adapter this is the one for 3mm shafts/also is the lightest and fitting is perfect.i recommend these props but ballance them out of bag good luck.
Basically depends if your plane is a pusher or a puller. A pusher plane, has the propeller mounted in such a way, that when the propeller turns, it pushes the plane. A pusher plane, has the propeller mounted at the front of the plane, and the propeller pulls the plane. Just mount the prop on the motor and turn on the motor, if it spins in the wrong direction just reverse the ESC.
Majster is referring to the 5x5 on the prop. looking from the front of your plane(puller setup) when you mount prop on motor the numbers are facing you.pusher setup ,mount prop with numbers facing motor.
Thanks for your help. It is a pusher upgrade (EZ Hawk). I didnt about the difference between pusher and puller - but its all correct mounted now on a 2826-6 motor.
This propeller is ideal not only for floater jet, but on WING Wing ID: 374000001, COMBAT SOARER ID: Flyingwings-1. Fly them to my friend. super traction
other users are fitting 6x4 on 4 cells. If you are on 3 cells 5x5 is probably ok. Don't forget to fit the prop with the front surface facing the front of the aircraft. Looks weird but it's a pusher after all.
I guess nobody actually reads the original post. Billum2 was awarded and didn't answer the op's question. Huh. zamzurine, why does the op have to use a 4000kv motor on his "redjet" to use this prop?
Sorry, this is not the right question *)
Yes, it can be used as a pusher prop. You can mount it any way you like it.
No, it is not a pusher prop in the "classic" sense: On an IC it can not be used as pusher. But as this prop is only usable for electric (thats why it called 5x5E) and you can chose the direction of running on electric motors, this is not a real problem.
No, this is a anticlockwise rotating prop. If you are using BRUSHED motor facing back of a/c, this prop is unsutable for you, but if you are using brushless motor, then you can buy it, because if it will spin in the wrong direction, you will just swap two wires going to the motor between themselthes and motor will start spinning into the right direction ... One more thing I have to mention, all 3 of these props I have ordered were badly unbalanced. Regards
reply to aJS32 ... what difference does a brushed have ? You can reverse most brushed motors as they are DC ... Only problem you often find with a USED brushed motor is the brushes have worn to a direction. But if it's new motor - it will work either direction fine.
Solentlife, not all brushed motors can be reversed by flipping the polarity due to internal timing and mechanical construction. The smallest thing you can experience is loss of power, the baddest thing motor can burn. If you are sure your motor can be reversed like that, I am not saying you can not do it, but I woould avoid such cases. Sincerely
Yet another positive post from the old fart. Lots of the same answers posted for a loaded question. I would gladly answer the original poster, if the question were more acurately stated, and if it weren't answered in so many ways, so many times.

12 thumbs up!
Very good Propeller. It is well balanced. (tested with the new Extreme accuracy Prop/Rotor balancer)
the max. RPM would be interesting! i think its like APC: Maximum RPM=190,000/prop diameter(inches) so i would be: ~38000rpm

4 thumbs up!
Excellent propeller. well balanced and I find the inserts are a better fit on the prop adapters than the ones that come with APC props. This is not a APC clone its shaped more like a graupner speed prop at the tips and has slightly wider blades this gives more thrust than the APC 5x5.

Very good prop. I use it with 200W 2500kv motor and 3s 2000mah bat for 650g trust and 140kmh speed on mine flying wing !
