I think he is talking about the UM T-28 not the full size T-28

Does anyone know what type of connector these batteries use, or if any converter cable is required for use with the pz t-28?
 Alexander 3 points
They do not come with any connector. If you want to use them with your pz t-28, then you have to but the connector seperately and solder it on the cell. However, I don't understand why you'd want this cell for your pz t-28, since if I'm correct, they need 3-cell lipos with about 2000mAh capacity...

It is right, those batteries come like they are on the picture, you can weld the connector you want on it.

Regular electrical solder works fine. It will solder just like anything else. Be sure to heat sink the tabs, though!

What do you mean by heat sink the tabs?
 sadkingbilly 118 points
Since the tabs lead directely into the battery, it's smart to put something like a wet towel (moist, not dripping!) over ONE tab when soldering it so the battery itself won't be overheated.

actually, its best to hold the tab with a pair of small metal pliers, as they suck away the excess heat before it melts the plastic of the battery. But be careful not to touch both tabs at the same time!

I would use a low temp

Normal fusible metal alloy solder is used to solder soldering tags and its really easy to solder !

104 thumbs up!
Very good lipo cell.
I use them in a MPX Fox glider as a single cell and in a shockflyer as a 2S lipo pack and in both cases they do their best and i am still satisfied, so i will buy more of them!
Thanks HC!

25 thumbs up!
I'm totally happy with these! Came together with the 450's I ordered, I treated one of these the same (charge, discharge to 90pcnt, then 25 cycles 2C charge/discharge, then measure)

Holds voltage as good as any other zippy I ever tested, these cells are VERY small! Mine measured 30x20x6.6mm, they fit small planes like the MPX Fox or Holiday 280 perfectly in 3S1P configuration.

Packs made using this cells are a bit on the fat side (3S1P including spacers makes a pack 22mm thick!) but for foamies it's still very acceptable. One of these cells in a 4-servo glider will provide 4 hours of flying!

Only point of warning: be careful when taking the lipo out of the packaging it comes in (taped to the package and a small piece of tape over the tabs: the last is the point of caution, don't just pull them out because the tabs are a bit fragile and will partly pull out of the pack. Not a big problem, but why let it happen?

Overall, very satisfied with these. Now all we need is balancing plugs for 2/3/4/5 cells to make balanced packs!
