Motor running nicely with 8x3.8" prop. on a Ø*330 mm 147g nutball, incl. 2S 7,3V 500mAh lipo batt. And have plenty of power for verticals and torque rolls *-) But the Ø*5,5mm propsaver-diameter is not standard amongst the fitting-rings delivered together with my HK-props, så* I had to partly ream/drill out the Ø*5mm fitting-ring, to fix the prop which is timeconsuming and need a little luck. Furthermore is it more difficulty to mont the O-ring/prop because you cannot get of the flat motor. Then its more easy on e.g. a longer HK 24g Turnigy 2730 Brushless Motor 1500kv.

can i use a 30a esc and 1300mah battery with 7 or 8 inch prop

I don't think you need a 30amp esc. I use this motor with a 10 amp esc and a 9x5 prop. Motor can get a litte bit warm but no other problem.

yes, but 30A esc is a bit to heavy. i use this motor with 12A ESC, 3S lipo and 7x6 GWS prop. works great.

I orderd this Motor for my new Bonsai and the gws 9x4,7 props. How you make them fit on this Motor? Do I Need anything more? I just know Motors with a Long shaft and a nut or spinner which hold the prop. thanks in advance.

You got 9in props for a bonsai? It barely fits 6in props

Can someone indicate the appropriate propeller to use with this motor? How to connect the motor and the propeller? Thank you!

60 thumbs up!
Using two cells, until a 7oz (200g) thrust, this engine performances are very close to that of Axi 2203/46.
At a (9oz/250g) maximal thrust there is a noticeable efficiency decrease.

Thrust with GWS 8x4.3 propeller :

3.5oz(100g) 1.50A/8.0v
5.3oz(150g) 2.35A/7.9v
7.0oz(200g) 3.40A/7.6v
9.0oz(250g) 4.70A/7.3v

The mechanical design is quite good but winding as a poor aspect. (but efficient)
Take care on the input wires.
The prop saver is Ok with 7035 and 8043 prop.
Weight is 20g

I installed the Turnigy instead of my old 2204/54 on a 32"/5.3oz biplane and it got the same results in aerobatics including torque roll. Battery is 2s/300mA/h 20C.

Avery good quality/price ratio. Just Turnigy will be appraciate in reduction of weight and winding improvement.
Thanks HC!

wonderful indoor motor! I have this motor on a fancy Foam Yak 55. Quiet, powerful, perfect. Running and APC slo-fly 8x3.8 with Rhino 2s/360 gives me 7-1/2 minutes of pure fun.

I bought this motor from another shop, at almost double the price.

It's a perfect engine for use on indoor foamies. With a 2S 620 mah HXT lipo and a GWS 8*4,3 I have onlimited vertical on my 170 gram (6 oz), and long flying time(If you fly with not to much throttle, you can easyily fly 8-10 minutes with this combo)

It pulls about 6A at full throttle
