The Turnigy 2S 3S Balancer Charger. Direct 110/240v Input
is extremely easy to use and reliable.
The TGY-3 Balance charger from Turnigy makes charging 2 or 3S lipos from your 110v or 240v mains power supply a simple task!
China is flooded with cheap chargers made from unknown manufacturers, giving inconsistent results. Rest assured this product is reliable, includes warranty and comes with the correct documentation.

ok can some one please help me out. What charger can i use to charge this battery? I want to get something cheap to charge it such as the Turnigy-3S - Turnigy balancer & Charger 2S-3S but its my first time so i need alittle help
 NotDeadYet 198 points
I use this charger:
HKX-Charger
I've found it extremely usefull not only for LiPo batteries, but for all other types as well. Troubleshooting a car battery is much easier with this, for example.
 Gary 3054 points
If you are happy with 12v input only then look at the following*
Turnigy Accucel 6 (Will require a charge lead).
Imax B6 (Leads inc).
HK Eco6 (Leadsinc).
Hobbyking E4 (No leads required).
12/240v Input*
Turnigy 2/3s.this has a fixed charge rate of 650mah so limits it a bit (No leads required).
B6-AC Plus (With leads).
Hobby King Simplex (With leads).
 Kencono 8 points
no problem, it can be used on 2s 180 mah, probably took no more than 30 minutes
 3D Maniac 9 points
Te recomiendo un accuell 6, ademas te va a dar la posibilidad de cargar baterias mas grandes algún día que puedas llegar a necesitarlo.
 Mattias 2 points
if you are new to lipos and chargers i would use something like this "Turnigy 2S 3S Balance Charger" it may take a bit longer to charger larger batteries but its very simple to use and you dont have to fiddle with settings and its cheap
Victor  7 points - 6/22/2011

can you use this batt in a trasmitter simple 4 ch st

tedharpley
 cocopl 52 points
Yes, you can use. I use it for transmitter walkera wk-2401. If you have other battery connector you can change it .
 Swiss 1 points
recommend getting rhino battery special for RX in HK.
 tatoloco 6 points
Recomendada!
 Twimnox 15 points
Yes you may, since the transmitters work on 10-12 voltage range.
 antti_mki 1 points
Perhaps you want a battery with more capacity because most transmitters have room for much bigger battery packs than this one. Try to find a 2000-2500 mAh pack that is as long and narrow as possible.
 M.Usama 17 points
YES YOU CAN USE IT IN YOUR TRANSMITTER AS IT REQUIRES 12 V WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY EQUAL TO THE OUTPUT OF THIS PACK i.e 11.1V

Purchased two of these recently not seeing the JST plug. Wires are thinner than the same pack 1300mah with a deans plug. Can I replace JST plug with a deans and still be ok?
 Ben-ya-min 35 points
Yes that would be fine
 Dragony 7 points
Yes,if max current will not too great for this accum-r - only soldering must be very qualifyed.
 dan 8 points
i have replaced with xt60 and is fine
 Mike 5 points
yes you can replace the JST plug with an deans and still be ok. I have done it with mine and it has been over a year and no problems.
 brandon 32 points
If everything else matches, including the discharge rate..... be careful. i see this time to time, same batteries, but because the battery values can be used for slow flyers or parkjets, you get two different ends with different guage wire. If you're going from the larger deans to the smaller JST your GOOD as long as its the same battery specs then what you've already used. But putting a slowflyer jst battery with thin wires and going to a thicker deans might get the thin wire just a little warm
 FooFilighter 38 points
why why backorder *] i need this now !!!

What about the discharge plug? Deans type?
 rafgol 214 points

 elder 180 points
Thank you very much Rafgol. Jst? Wow, Dont like those, pretty hard to unplug.
 epo flyer 52 points
no it is the yellow twin bullet type conector
 rafgol 214 points
Mine are supplied with JST connector, and i do not like that at all for a 20 C 1000 mAh lipopack.
The connector are only rated at <10 amps.
 rustynail 64 points
no Deans - BEC plug (JST RCY connector).
 soloman572000 89 points
Discharge plug is JST type
 ssacer 86 points
JST plug, but wires are too thin for 25A.
 elder 180 points
Thin wires can take much more than you think. Usually the problem is the conector.

Thank you guys for your answers.

Discharge plug is now on specs: "Discharge plug: 2 Pin Mini JST Plug"
 parkflyer29 5 points
i bought 3, it' s mini JST plug
 Lifeline 105 points
elder, Diffrent batches of these batteries come with diffrent plugs on them. Sometimes they have Deans somtimes JST and somtimes the Yellow bullet connectors. You can buy the connector you want at you local hobby shop and solder it on. just make sure that you put on and - on -.

can I use this or other LiPo-s in my transmitter instead of 8AA batteries? the voltage is lower, amperage isn't really required by a transmitter... would it be ok?
 dung89_99 14 points
ok. used for Tx very good
 dan 8 points
would check your manual first
 Mike 5 points
is your transmitter set up for lipo use? IE do you if it has the low voltage cut off or not. Also I know of some people using lipos in their transmitters with really bad results, the best thing would be a NIHM battery for the transmitter.
 tonyastro 11 points
Absolutely will not fit my CopterX 250. Not even close to reaching the canopy supports
 Michel 15 points
8xAA non-rechargeable batteries is 12volts total.
8xAA rechargeable batteries is 10 volts total. This battery is rated 11.1v but is 12.6 volts when fully charged. If your TX is made for non rechargeable batteries , you are OK.If your TX is made for rechargeable batteries, don't use a 3s Lipo.
adriantan  23 points -

Has anyone tried this battery on a Trex-250? I Heard it fits but wonder how tight it is and what kind of modifications to the canopy or placement might be necessary.
 shogun19 48 points
I got one of these for my 250 will not fit even with the yellow lightining canopy unless you move the canopy supports. I ordered the Rino 1050mah30c 3mm. shorter and 2mm. thinner someone in the review says it fits. I'm using 750mah20c Rino's and 800mah20c Flightmax's they give 5.5 min. flights. The Rino's seem to hold full power to the end. Flightmax seem to drop off slightly during the last min. or so. Will write a review on the 1050 when I get it.
 Mike 5 points
It is a very tight fit. No Mods needed.

Can someone with this pack please weigh it and report the weight in grams?
 dando 94 points
Hi! Mine weighs 92 grams with 3.5mm gold bullet connectors and velcro installed. I think it weighed 86g as advertised without the velcro and connectors.
mvaccarouy  241 points -

What is the real-life maximum amps this battery can deliver?

Theoricaly it would be 35 amps
 elder 180 points
Hi

No, theoricaly it is 25 amps. mAh x C/1000 = 1000 x 25/1000 = 25 amps.

Best regards,
Elder

35 thumbs up!
I buyed 2 units to try.

-These cells are overrated by 10pcnt.
-After 3 cycles C/D to break at 1C:

Best charge: lipo 1: 911Mah
lipo 2: 923Mah

Best discharge: lipo 1: 899Mah
lipo 2: 901Mah

They seems to be a good&strong battery for aplications about 15-18A at a unbateable price.

Good deal!!

18 thumbs up!
Cheapest battery i have ever bought. I got 3 packs with cca 40 cycles each and works like new.
I use them in 420g 3D foamie with 200W motor (max 18A, 6,5A average). Flying allways on time limit and after flight I charge about 700-800 mAh. Same power during whole flight.... no fade at the end of flight.
100pcnt satisfaction :-)
