Would this be a good servo for 3d?
elchan  43 points - 12/31/2012

Any one know if these are capable of 4096 steps or rotation?
XaxaSax  6 points - 10/22/2012

Posso usar lipo 2s nesse servo? Meu receptor e HV, esse servo suportaria essa tensã*o?
 Robert 48 points
No! You should use this servo at max 6V. If you are unable to get that kind of voltage use UBEC.
 João Antonio 2 points
Eu utilizo estes servos no meu aero 30% diretamente com uma bateria LIFE 2S (6.6volts). Espero ter ajudado.

it is not programmable eather
 theSelf 45 points

am looking for a replacement case that fits?
 jtaliaferro 89 points
You could order a replacement case for the Power HD 9150, should work since this is a re-branded servo.
Naturalizt  67 points - 10/27/2011

...Anyone tried these servos for HK600gt helicopter, do they fit? Thanks
 ughsky 78 points
Actually, they are strong but too slow for CCPM heli if you going to do some 3D. I'm using 2pcs of the 9150MG on my RC Car 1/8 size. It's better to find faster servo for your heli. You can watch some tests (not mine) on youtube: youtube.com/watch?v=ViK6Mr7n5UM Don't forget to press "thanks" button! ;o)

Turnigy which spare parts to fit this servo. I stopped a gear: (
 Bartolo 5 points
good precision and centering. suitable from 30cc to 50cc gas plane
 Jonas 9 points
Sorry you broke your servo m8. I cant find any spare parts for it in the shop either.
For 28 bucks I would just by a new one if I was you... I mean can you really trust it will not brake again and maybe crash you model...
Pavel  3 points - 8/21/2011

Possible program this servo? (need continues loop)
 Jonas 9 points
Noep, it dosen't.
The more expensive servos have the text:
Programmable: YES/NO
..in the data.
This one don´t...

Anyone have the full dimensions??? Seem to be blank in description...

I can read Size: 40x20x37mm. And the Product Config Table is available as well.

if you're worried this might turn out to be one of those extra large servos in size, no it's not. it's just the (small) standard size good enough for giant airplane specially rudder

is it possible to use this servo in tandem with y cable?
Some HD servo has the problem that doesn't work if attached to the same signal wire!!!!!
 Demonsphere 12 points
Yes i am using it on my yak-54 airlons. works fine..

My 9150 burned a little ago. Has anyone datasheet for it's electric components?
Jose  13 points - 10/20/2010

The servo makes a "working" sound even when its not turning. Is this normal? Thanks
 Demonsphere 12 points
yes its ok if its pulsing its just natural.
 Juliano de Mattos 2 points
Take a look for something that is holding up the servo. If there isn't, it is ok.

Same issue here. I bought 5 and all 5 twitch as well. I'm using a 5 cell nimh pack. Not very happy about the twitching. What gives?
 Bob144 21 points
These arms will fit www.link
 Chloe 6 points
You need to use Futaba arm with theses servos
 Rusty Nuts 114 points
I also have twitching on 5 cell NIMH packs, freshly charged and reading 7.2 volts with no load on most of my Futaba and HT servos. You might try using a Life pack at 6.6 volts full charge and see what happens with it?
fastxturtle  29 points - 4/2/2010

I got 5 of these and all of them are showing glitches. The servos twitch maybe 1mm every few seconds. I have checked the receiver/radio and also same thing happens when i test it with servo tester. Any suggestions?
 SabTA 173 points
try to install a 5A UBEC and feed the servo off of it
 stefaan 17 points
ver nice and strong servo nice price 1/3 cheaper than europe h reco..
 TheGreatBoo 42 points
I tried mine, no twitching here... I run them on 6V though. Are you using 4.8V or 6V acc? Will see if I have an old 4.8V acc to test with.
 mohsin 15 points
Same issue here. I bought 5 and all 5 twitch as well. I'm using a 5 cell nimh pack. Not very happy about the twitching. What gives?
 mohsin 15 points
UPDATE: I guess it must have been a fluke, the twitching as stopped and they have been working flawlessly!!!

I ordered 3 Power HD 9150 servos "#HD-9150MG/6334 Digital metal gear servo 60g/15.8kg/.17sec" but received 3 Turnigy servos! Thats not what I payed for! Are these rebranded Power HD servos or a copy of unknown quality

Guys, im looking to buy servos for my 30% yak 54. I want all out 3d, meaning maximum control surface deflection. The more deflection used, the more acurate the servo has to be. I will be using 2 on the elevator, 2 on the ailerons, possible two on the rudder, or 1 bms champoin servo on the rudder. I want to know how these compare to the BMS Super strong digital 630 in acuracy. Im not too big on using a lot more torque than I need bcause i share my rx pack with the ignition system. So I want to know if the bms would be better for acuracy and effieciancy. Im thinking the bms have to run more efficiant with that heat sink vs the HD-9150MG puting out more torque and speed and not having a heat sink and can't beatbthe price in the BMW for under 22 usd. Also any one know if they use a corless motor?

Hey Jude
Using these servo's for a while now in a 106cc Extra, full on 3D no problems. These are fantastic servo's. Check out Flying Giants forum for details. Cheers Paul

I am using this servo on the rudder of my 27% Yak 54 50cc Have also the ds120 m on the elevator and ailerons will be switching to the 9150s as they come in stock The vibration of My Brillelli 60 cc has not affected the servo in any way.
loopsy  17 points - 11/23/2009

You guys think it will work reliable as a Gas-servo ? I am concerned about the vibrations experienced on a DL50. Thanks.
Travis  42 points - 10/20/2009

Do these come with servo mounting hardware and/or servo arms?
 TheGreatBoo 42 points
Yes, rubber grommets, brass inserts, mounting screws and servo arms. At least mine did :)
 Joseph 5 points
yes, mine did.
Doublsixes  15843 points - 8/4/2009

Does anybody know if this servo can work directly on a 2s lipo pack without a regulator? I want to use 6 on my 30% Extra.
 p.chats 80 points
Why would you want to use without a regulator?? most receivers don't recommend 2s lipo... so why would anyone want to use more voltage than 4.8 or 6 volt Ni-cd or Ni-mh flight battery.

57 thumbs up!
Thats a very good servo....

In my 2.6m Krill Katana, I´ve used the DS9900 Dymond servo directly at 7.4V.
Unfortunately, the elevators began to shimmy despite the strong servo.

I exchanged the elevator servos with this 15.8kg servo.
And, all I can say is that this was the solution of the problem.
It has enough power for a 2.6m Acro-Plane. Fast and centers very good.

I can recommend this servo for bigger planes. You don´t have to buy expencive Hi*ec ones.

Perfect, thank you Hobbycity!!

Had to give it a try. It's a good bit deeper (taller) than a standard size but not too much. The gears are stout and the innards are well laid out with pretty good support. There's very little slop and while there is a bit of over-shoot when the when the servo makes a high speed return to center, it's not bad and the centering is quite good. For the price, it's a great high strength servo!

Great servos for the price. Very similar to the towerpro ones. Little problems with centrering on 5 and 6 volts but tryed directly on 2 lipo and no problems after flight little worm on this voltage but after 50 flights everything is ok.
servo on 2 lipo:
- can handle about 17,2 kg mesured with special servo meter
- the speed is .15 sec
- take up tu 2 amps on maksimum torque

FOR THAT PRICE GREAT SERVO
