AfroFlight Naze32 Rev5 Acro FunFly Controller

AfroFlight Naze32 Rev5 Acro FunFly Controller
AfroFlight Naze32 Rev5 Acro FunFly Controller

The popular Naze32 is here! Initially designed for use with small to mid-sized multirotor craft, it has become the go-to controller for a host of Multirotor projects and propheads.

The infamous Hamasaki AKA “timecop” was not happy with the limitations and performance an 8-bit MCU could deliver on current FC platforms, so he set out to make a flight controller that could take just about any demands a developer could throw at it, and thus was born the Naze32. At the heart of the Naze32 is a 32bit ST micro work horse of a processer, with untapped memory and cpu power and a host of equally impressive sensors. The Naze is also matched up with some of the nicest GUI programs and features to get the most out of your configuration.

The Naze32 comes as the most complete Acro Version yet, with both strait and 90deg pins for your preference and a matched break out harness.

The HobbyKing version is fully authorized and royalties are paid to the developer on each Naze32 sold.

how to make a stick arm with spectrum **5e . I've tried everything but can not arm . where the error ? Throtle ok , but how that arm ? thank you for your reply.

I have rev5 akro

Under the receiver section, make sure your yaw throw reaches about 2000 and your throttle reaches close to 1000. They need to be quite close to those values to arm. You may need to increase your end points if they do not. This is usually caused by adjusting your rate settings on the radio. Reset your rates and try again. you can set your rates under the receiver section of the configuration software.

Thanks Matthew to answer I do not know how to change the value Yav . Throtle is 900min Yav I can not adjust . maybe. the cli writed ?
 Matthew 14 points
If you haven't already, consider cleanflight firmware. Also arming by switch is an option under modes. What Radio are you using?

Under the setup tab on the configurator, try resetting to defaults. Then try inputting your settings again. I have found if settings aren't cleared out after a firmware update things can behave strangely.

I have an issue with the Naze32. When I'm flying around and do some banking on the Ground, the Gyro calibration in Horizon Mode will be lost. Then my quad just drifts heavy to one Direction until I reconnect the Battery, sometimes disarm and arming is helpful.
Did anybody have had this problem and is there anny solution?

Why is it that - I am in Aussie - I choose the AU store- I add a Naze32 to cart - I go to checkout...shipping is NOT within Aussie. This item would fit in a well padded postal bag/envelope not bigger than 6inches X 4 inches. And land delivery courier of OzPost about 150 klm to my home - would be around au$10 and take 3 days at most. HK really does soak up some cash with overly high shipping charges. And ship from outside Aussie when its supposed to bu in Au store.... getting more disheartened using this outlet.

It is not in the AU warehouse, are you an idiot? It clearly says International warehouse.

I recently put one of these on a new QAV500v2 quadcopter. I wasn't sure if it would work very well out of the box, having only used 250 sized quads with the Naze32, and a local 'expert' telling me it wouldn't work, but I have to say it flies beautifully, very stable and easy to fly (using Cleanflight). Great!

Are this able to handle a GPS?
 Chad 7 points
No you will have to but the full name with magnetometer and barometer
 Chad 7 points
Sorry, typo I ment to say you will need the full naze controller if you want gps

I have a rev6 acro naze32 here and it has GPS pinout available to connect a 3rd party receiver to.

By far the best flight characteristics of any FC I have purchased so far. The soldering was was easier than expected although hotknifing the bent leads was necessary for my fpv250 Build(used them for vertical attachment of reciever breakout). Setup was easy even though i had never used the chrome baseflight configurator.just follow setup guide in HK file folder. With autolevel on was still able to do flips.

Poor solders on the board, has lost a capacitor :/ and need to correct some other solders Mounted on a laser230 frame... not easy to adjust settings. Hope that my BT module help me to find correct PID's! Has sometimes YAW issues when trying flips (the quad slide a lot on the yaw after a recovery)... many people speak of this good FC but I'm not very satisfied by the overall quality

Mounted one on Black Out Mini H quad clone (Motors : 1804 2400KV, Props : Gemfan 5*3, Battery : Lipo 3S 1300 mAh Nanotech). Fligth Controller very easy to setup (with Baseflight Chrome extension). If flies marvellously well even in gusty wind condition. The quad seems to be on rails. Now, I have to sell my KK 2.x, Multiwii xx,... and replace them by this FC. Thank you HK.

Amzing little board , remember this one has no mag and no baro so basicly its like a KK2 but much more locked in i was amazed it worked out of the box on a mini that i had to tweak for hours with the kk2! KK still nice for beginners but this board also works for beginners... just remember to turn on the "feature motor_stop" in the CLI
