how many thrust i can take with a 2s 800mah and a 6x3 prop?
Thanks and excuse my bad english!

Have bought one recently.
PLEASE ...Anybody know the Max Amps it can do ?

I have done basic bench test with 3S and on a 6x4 got up to 14Amps. Isn't this too much for this motor ? since the specs above show Max amps=7A
Would love to know from one of you experts
TIA
BTW how can you direct questions to an Expert??

Hi all, I am thinking of getting 4 of these to put on a micro quad with a set of 3x3.5 props my craft when fully laden will weigh in at about 40g-60g will these motors get this thing off the ground or do I need to find something with a little more punch?

Sorry that I have to share this bad information with You.... Bought some of these 1806N-2100kv motors approximately ½* a year ago and they worked fine in my tricopter. The last month i got 8 more motors divided in 3 shipments, but at least half of these is clicking when turning the shaft fast with my fingers. When I took the bad motors apart i could clearly see with my bare eyes that the ballbearings has maybe 0,3mm backlash/play when I wrickle the shaft. When running with ESC the bad motors make a terrible noise and will not last for long. And in multirotors they are useless, because their vibrations will disturb the gyro's on the controller-board. Now i try to get new ballbearings from e b a y, but i do not know if they will fit nicely and if they are any better !? No quality-control at these for sure :-(

does this motor comes with prop drive or any accessories??
 Alan_L 55 points
No. What you see in the pic is what you get. Shaft is 3mm so lots of cheap options available.
chelemopter  9 points - 1/28/2013

Would these motors fit the walkera hoten x? because the stock ones make a loud high pitched noise that is unbearable.
felixrising  12 points - 1/17/2013

I haven't verified these numbers, but they look legit. Test propeller Voltage Current Power Pull RMP Efficiency

Wow, the formatting went out the window! target=_blank>Prop Stats (unverified but looks good to me)
 Alan_L 55 points
So looking at this it appears that I should expect a 6X3.5 folding prop on 2s to run around the 5 amp & 35-40 watt mark. Correct?
 felixrising 12 points
That sounds like a reasonable extrapolation. I'd expect the watts to be a bit higher than 40 though given the different between a 6x3 vs 6x3.5 prop
 Alan_L 55 points
Close enough. Thanks mate.
James  2 points - 1/9/2013

does anyone know the current draw with 3s and 5x3 prop?
 felixrising 12 points
6.7A at 11.5V apparently.. Check the table I posted above.

Stick mount for AX 1806n Is there a stick mount available for this motor? I don't care what size. I will make the stick. Thanks. . .

Hi there i am having bit ot troubles. I ordered a while ago both versions of this motor(the 2100 and the 2500 KV) and so i am having now some trouble finding out wich motor is the 2100 KV and wich the 2500 KV..? I measured both and found out that if i measure the inner diameter of the mount one has 8mm and the other 8,5mm! So could someone please help me and say me wich motor is the one with the 8mm and wich motor is the one with 8,5 mm?? BIG THANKS!
 scratchbuilder 40 points
So now for everybody- a user wrote me that he owns the 2500kv outrunner and it measures 8.5mm =)

Hi there I crashed the little bird micro cessna 182 and broke the motor shaft on the stock motor. so would this motor be a good replacement? thanks
 Maumy 516 points
Hi there V, if your talking about the micro cessna 182 that sold here on Hk than yeah this motor is fine and good for it. as I have the same problem like you did a whie back and crash mine nose down and I have tried this motor on the that little cessna and its work very well.

Mine arrived without any mounting screws. Is this normal?
 flyzmilez 39 points
It seems to be as mine didn't come with any either so i used servo screws and they have worked just fine.
 Alan_L 55 points
Same here so I guess it is normal.

Does anyone know if it's possible to reverse the shaft on this and use it as a front-mount motor? I have received mine and suspect not, from looking at it, but not having reversed a motor before I'm nto sure.
 fanny 511 points
IMHO Big hassle Dave. These are trcky to play with. I went the other way round on another type by fitting a towerpro shaft. Please let us know if you managed this and how. Thanks
 DaveE1 39 points
It didn't look to be possible, so I shaft mounted it as it came. Needed some adaptation of the model but not a big problem.
 Flying Marc 31 points
You can make the motor turn the other way by just simply disconnect two wires and connect them the other way. You change left to right and right to left.
 fanny 511 points
Sorry Mark, but I think Dave is asking how to make the shaft to poke out of the back end, not direction reversal, Cheers Alan

Can anyone suggest a folding prop for maximum efficiency on 2S? It's for an electric glider, so not worried about top speed, just peak efficiency. Is Graupner CAM 6x3 a good choice? Thanks.
 ajbaker 462 points
Excellent choice
 Alan_L 55 points
I plan to run a Robbie 6x3.5 on mine & expecting around 40 watts. Cam 6x3 should be on the money.

What's the diameter of this motor ?
I can't belive that this is only 18mm.
 pudytat 1341 points
Beleive it......
 fanny 511 points
These are dynamite on 2s or 3s wth 7" or6" prop and 10 amp esc Awsome power to weight ratio
 Dr.Danny 56 points
It is not. It's 22.3 mm.
 Hasanuddin 2 points
Hello, where can I buy the radial mount for this motor.?
 Frank 12 points
This is one of the best motors in this size range, can take a bashing and no broken wires to contend with. Easy to repair if bent, unlike most, and a breeze to rewind is you need to go to a bigger prop. I recommend it to all my FBs and they love me for it.

21 thumbs up!
You´ll get a really fine motor, but the weigt with mount is 23gramm. without moint its 21gramm.
Testet it with a 500mah 7,4V 15C Lipo an a GWS 7x3,5 = 5,5A on 10.300rpm. This will make an ETA of 77pcnt, like an AXI motor!

11 thumbs up!
Im using it in Depron F-22 Raptor (160g)with pusherprop setup. With 5-5 prop and 2S800 draws about 10A and flies very well. Get around 13-14 minutes of flying. Tried it with 3S1000 for fun, and it really got the plane flying. Vertical handlaunch at half throttle. Gets a little warm, draws about 17 Amps. Really nice motor! Im going to get a couple more for a thrust vectoring project.

10 thumbs up!
I'm running it on a 190 gm (6.7 oz) biplane with a 2S800 LiPo and a GWS 6050 prop. Draws about 6A WOT, maybe 230g/8 oz thrust - the plane has unlimited vertical. With the prop adapter/spinner and connectors, mine weighs 27g. This has replaced the geared Feigao as my favorite small motor.

Very nice little motor. Good value for money.

I my setup. GWS 7035 and hextronik 2S 360mAh Li-Poly the motor draws 5.2A. That's just below 15C. :O)
