Four months on backorder...
 Sergey 2 points
Whan will thay be available?

What motor would be sufficient? Want to use it in my re-configured CL-415 with water drop system. Originally i had GF 2210/30 motor with GWS HD8040 3-blades, but now i need approx. 400-500grams more thrust. (The old config worked as well with the tank - but "in thrust we trust"...)
 G. 2 points
NO IDEA? - What motor is sufficient? (appr. 60gram class).
 Buggylon 41 points
I use four of these little beasts (PRODUCT NUMBER: AX-2210N) with 18A Plush speed controllers and those props on my quadcopter and they work like a charm.
Buggylon  41 points - 3/6/2013

Notorious lie: "Stock updated frequently. goods will be available within 30-45 days" These are out of stock for almost three months...
Buggylon  41 points - 3/6/2013

Nice props! Lightweight, easyly ballanced, great price. Bear in mind that they are right turning props when you are looking from behind. They are never on stock... I have ordered some of them last year and they are still on backorder...
CB1RflyingRc  35 points - 1/3/2013

the date today 3/1/13, lets see if they are telling the truth 30-45days

How much is the diameter?
HefnySco  32 points - 6/18/2012

when will this be available . . . i am waiting for 2 months now :(
 majik01 2710 points
Notice says 30-45 days. Props are a commodity item that can be bought from Local Hobby Stores (LHS). The prices are higher but you get it when you need it. Set up a "Stock Arrival Alert" if you have not done so yet and receive an email notice when stocks arrive or include it in your wish list and be notified as well via email.
 RonRC 2008 points
HefnySco, Not sure when they will be back in stock. If you can wait on them, the best thing to do is go ahead and order them now. Then, when they do arrive, you will be one of the few that get them. Hope this helps and Happy flying!
 HefnySco 32 points
in fact I ordered them from 2 months now :( The funny part is that the CCW version arrived after almost 30 somthing days, and still the default version not available :)
 RonRC 2008 points
Wow! Were they on the same order? Or did you request to send items that were in stock? Great props! I was using the 8x4x3s on my quad because these made it just a little unstable. I skipped this prop to make a larger quad which uses the 10x6x3s. Hope they come in for you soon! If not, you might look at allercdotcom because they usually have them. Better check fast because this post may soon be deleted by the discussion police. Ha ha! Hope this helps and happy flying!
 HefnySco 32 points
yes they were in the same order
3dguy  99 points - 4/5/2012

will this less the torque?
 ijaz bahtti 1713 points
yes they less the torque effect produced by motor

 RonRC 2008 points
I would say truly, no. but these props do increase thrust. Therefore, it seems like less torque due to less RPM to achieve the same amount of thrust.
 JurekD 35 points
No. When compared to 2-blade props, they inherently use MORE torque at the same thrust (and lower RPM), but the inertia of the propeller is smaller for the same thrust so that they can be accelerated/decelerated faster - that's the benefit for multirotors.
 HefnySco 32 points
so this means they are better for a quad right ?
 HefnySco 32 points
ooops it doesnot ship to egypt
Jean-Claude  1 points - 3/26/2012

Each propeller comes with 2 inserts. Do I have to use both inserts? The shaft of my motor is 3mm and the shaft of the prop balancer is also 3mm which means that the cones are kind of useless. Is this a problem?
 mouchadino 373 points
i use both of the same size inserts and no problem work fine on my QC
 RonRC 2008 points
The inserts are for adaptation to whatever prop adapter you are using. You need something that is going to hold these props very tightly! They can produce a lot of thrust.
 Jarred1993 16 points
these make alot of thrust i suggest using both inserts.
RonRC  2008 points - 3/23/2012

Has anyone used these props on a Xcopter or any multirotor? I've heard that 3 blade props are more stable for some reason. I plan to replace my slow fly two blade 8 x 3/8 with these props. This is what I will be putting it on.
 __HaKK 466 points
3 blade props also have more surface area to generate lift, so if 8x3.8 props were not too small for your setup, don't go up in diameter. HD8040 3 blade already has a bit more pitch and also is heavier than your current props. Unless you have motors & controller, that can take even more pitch and slower RPM changes you are makeing things worse for yourself. Try HD8040 first & always balance all your props for quads! 3 blades vs 2 did feel more stable for me, but quick ability to change RPMs is v
 RonRC 2008 points
Hakk, my setup will support 10 inch props but they were not as stable and the 8 inch props didn't seem to have enough lift for my purposes. My main question was reference to stability. If the 9 inch are stable, I would prefer to use them. I suppose I will order both.. ha ha.
 __HaKK 466 points
They are more stable (at least I have used these GWS ones). Trying both maybe a good idea. Once you build one quad, you are bound to build more anyway :)
 RonRC 2008 points
Can you post a video of your quad?
 __HaKK 466 points
Sorry, no videos, but here is a picture of one of them with GWS HD8040 3 bladed props on. Worked much smoother for me than 2 bladed GWS props. This is before adding FPV camera. I fly with Scherrrer UHF gear. target=_blank>HaKK_Quad

hm, wonder how the heck bold font tag was inserted in the middle of URL link by HK posting system, but clicking on the thumbnail of the image in my previous post at least works...
 mouchadino 373 points
i used it on my quad copter cek mouchadino youtube
 RonRC 2008 points
Cool! What material did you use to make the electronics protection and the landing gear?
 __HaKK 466 points
I used nylon threaded pole from a local hardware store specialised in bolts'n stuff. Makes a nice and flexible landing gear and crash cage for electronics.
 RonRC 2008 points
We have a local screw store here. Is that what it is called? Nylon threaded pole? It looks flexable too.
 majik01 2710 points
Hakk .. you quad looks nice and those nylon threaded poles are interesting - I do not know if they have them at our local hardware. If you face the ESC heatsink against the alum boom, your ESC will like that and run cooler but you would need to fasten it securely from the body as opposed to the wires.

i bought this item 2 month ago, or more, and nothing! 30 - 45 days?? i don't think so!
 smolder 7 points
Aqui no Brasil demora 45 dias. Mas vale a penas devido ao baixo preço da Hobby King. Here in Brazil takes 45 days. But it's worth because of the low price of Hobby King.
 Sharkman_Br 3 points
Pois eh... vivo comprando coisas aqui no HobbyKing, mas esse... nada de ficar em estoque!!! ja passaram mais do dobro do prazo dado! Abracos fraternos!

Does this fits on TR 35-30 Outrunner? And how it is with thrust? I'm planning this setup for twinstar and I want one CW and one CCW prop. Does anyone know if it will be ok?
 Gerry01 2919 points
35-50 shaft is 4 mm* prop comes with adapters, so it'll fit. I'm using it on a 28-30 motor, and I get more than 500 gr of thrust.
 Dr.LuckyLuke 317 points
Hi... I'm using exactly this setup for Twinstar. With 3S 5000mAh it can fly about 25 minutes on half throttle. Just look on my setup on this url (just remove spaces) rcal***. com/ index.php? action=dtl & amode= & id=3587 Twin can start exactly from your hand without throwing.

The 3 stars in my post above means "b u m" without spaces. Sorry for that.
 AntMamel 13 points
Dr.: Thanks, this is exactly how I plan to build Twinstar. I will use your proven setup.

this helix but rather serves it comes with some adapters for you to use in various axes, perhaps because for the opening hole.

Bought 4 sets for my quodcopter and giving more thrust compare to two blade propellers. Heavy and very light in weight. Good quality at very low price. Going to buy 4 more sets of counter anti counter propeller set.

is this prop is good for t-34?
 Antons 116 points
If you mean a russian WW2 tank by your "t-34" than I guess it isn`t very good... *) Can you be more specific please?

21 thumbs up!
Rule of thumb for three bladed props: Take an inch from the diameter, add an inch to pitch. So they should behave like a 10x4HD.

Lighter and less stiff than TGY, will tolerate hard landings but lose some efficiency at high power.

A good prop. At engine TGY AerodriveXp SK Series 28-26 1350Kv battery 3S1000 mAh 12-20C power of 180 W, 4S800 20-30C mAh battery power 300 watts. Attention prop is not balanced, decently stochil 2 blades. The result is good, no vibrations on the entire range of revolutions.
