Excuse the very dumb question. How do these work? I have only used 2.4ghz tax/rx. I picked up a JR quattro 4 channel radio and couple of these from a friend. I have no idea what to do with them. How do you bind them, can u bind them to this radio? Thanks.

Will this receiver work with a JR Pulse Core FM 4CH 72mhz Radio from 1984? And that setup work in a HobbyKing Pitts EPP too? I think this receiver is the only shot I've got at getting the old radio back in action. It was the most high-tech radio of its time* still better than many radios today.

Ive tried many receivers with different transmitters. Ive used this receiver with Futaba - Hitech - JR and a few others and would say yes if you have the right crystal with the same channel

No, it's a 72 MHz receiver NOT 2.4 GHz

This would be fine for a small park flyer, but for high quality and cheap, I would go with Corona.

I've looked high and low for crystals for GWS on HobbyCity's site with no luck. I ended up buying the receiver from HC, but buying the crystal from site.

it's all about the wavelength of what the transmitter transmit out...but I won't go into details- too boring. just know that JR is positive shift* Futaba is negative shift. Now-a-days, many receivers will do auto-shift or listen to both JR or Futaba, given you have the right channel.

Cheap, light weight, and functional. What more could you ask for out of a micro receiver.

Note: only works with JR, GWS, SANWA, or Airtronics transmitters.

I have had one of these GWS Picos for over 3 years now, it has been in more then 200 different airplanes and has been through alot of crashes.
It is the best micro RX I have ever had and hope they never stop making them!

Great price for this receiver. I've had great luck with these receivers and own 6 of them for all my micro planes. I've never had any glitches and have been past the rated 500plusft (although wouldn't recommend it) with no range issues. Great rx!

just as described. if you have never had one of these before you need to get one and give it a try. you want be dissapointed. i have one in every one of my planes (4) they are cheap enough to buy one for each of your planes so you dont have to spend time changing out every time you want to fly a different plane.
