USA warehouse now open. Our USA warehouse is now open! Low cost shipping and an ever growing variety make ordering from the US warehouse even better value!
I just got a set of these from the US warehouse and they came in white. I bought them to replace the gears in a few RC Timer TS-9018 servos I had laying around. Was a bit nervous at first as I didn't know whether they'd fit or not, but they do. Win!
especially as they are now black, why are they selling these when they have cone back to white on the servos themselves after customer pressure, just got a set delivered 23/4/2013 in black.
guys did anyone try those.. casue people are saying that the so called pinion is having no teeth .. is that true.. the picture is somehow proving the the same !
mine are the white ones, I have bought over 20 sets and never had a problem. I will probably buy 10 more this year. I abuse these servos realy realy bad, but change the gears and they are ready to go again. I have been told that the black gears are stronger but I have not had the chance to test them out yet.
No. They are laid out as they go in the servo except lower left is turned over. When placing an order I scroll down to the freight options and see how much I have left before going up the next price increment then add these (5 grams) and other light items to get the most from my shipping money. I use the ems option because it seems to get here much faster.
do they sell Metal Gear Kits for these? I have fitted my metal gears out of a TGY90s servo and they all are identical (except are metal) .... only the output shaft gear is not right as there is no bearing on the HXT900. I changed the top cover off the TGY90S and all is now a metal gear servo .... much smoother too
As the original gears are plastic and seem to be quite hardy so most applications don't need the metal gears I don't see them coming up with a replacement metal gear set anytime soon.
They dont sell any metal gears of that type of servo but u can always ask at the support center just maybe there is one set out there that we dont know of
I would just upgrade to the D05010MG 5.7g / .61kg / .07sec Digital Metal for 6.99 it's a lot better. I also used the HXT900 and the gears are just not hard enough now I ended up ordering the D05010MG and the delivery time drives me nuts. But they are good for spares.
Was there a question? I´ve used a couple of these, first one after my son dropped the airplane "ass-down" in the floor stripping the gear. Took me 5 hours to fix the aircraft and 5 minutes to replace the gears.
Good set but routing change of control linkage is better way how to avoid the gear damage. In many cases the linkage is lead at bottom of wing {especially on airplanes with wings at the bottom of fuselage}. Hard landing can cause the contact of the linkage with earth/concrete/hard grass and breakage teeth of gears. I resolved that by routing linkages on upper side of wing (it concerns mainly ailerons, sometimes flaps). It does not look very originally but you can avoid the servos malfunction.
i got some of these, and recently I stripped one set after a blowover on my boat. The replacement gears fit nicely and it's very easy to change. Very good value. Highly recommended.
yes but this gears is not completely fit in tg9 servo if you fit these gears on tg9 your screws is not complitly tiet if you lose your screw the servo is working well but these gears also completely fit in tg9e servo
con este conjunto de engranajes se pueden reparar los servos esky digital, pero por el costo, usted podrĂa intentar comprar un juego de esto para tratar de reparar el servo
From what I have read others say in the forum some time ago, the HXT900 and TG9e, are exactly the same servo. Except the TG9e didn't last as long under stress test. Apart from that, they are physically identical. So yes, this gear set should work in a TG9e servo
Excellent price for these gears and even more excellent price for the HXT 900 servos. These gears will ensure that yout HXT 900 servos are around for a very long time.
It's cheaper than buying a new servo. Also , look on the bright side, you'll gain a bit more experience knowing how to fix the servo. Also, while you have it open, you can reset the servo gears to how you want them so you can zero the trims on your transmitter
You can also fit Hextronic MG-14 or Turnigy MG-90S) metal gears in the HXT900. You need to also swap the top cap from the "doner" servo to the HXT900 because of the ball bearing on the output shaft.
In this set there are only four gears of the HXT900 servo, but, i've recovered three HXT900 with this set because each HXT900 broke a different gear. Good luck! Good flights!

Does anybody have advice for how to press fit on the top main gear? I find it is very tight and I am unable to get it on all of the way and tightening the case down on it seems to cause some binding (torque is reduced).
Use a drill press or some other kind of vise (a vise and some small washers usually works). Plastic gears don't take heat very well, so pressing by force is the only way. Do not use servo if you have some binding like you say you have, the servo may be taking more amps than it can handle (and more than your BEC can supply, causing RX to stop working)
Put in top gear as far as it'll go, then turn upside down onto flat surface and push straight down till the gear either goes in or breaks. If it breaks likely a mfr defeat in which case better to throw away a 3.50 part then risk a crash.
Remind me never to let you people around cookware and raw food, geez!

I've buyied it by way of precaution. And I advise people to have at least one of this replacement gear set. You never know when you will need it. It seems to be very robust this servo. If the assembly time is about 5 minutos, it is a worthwhile buying.

I have several dozen HXT900s on my planes. I've really only stripped the gears one time and it was in the hanger on my Clik! XL clone. And this was from hanger rash. I had the gears replaced in FIVE MINUTES! Thanks for a great product, UH! Err, uh...Hobby City!

Replacing these gears is really simple to do. I did it in less than 5 minutes. Worth the price. After replacing the gears the servo work like a new one.

It's only takes minutes to replace the gears and than you have brand new HXT900 for only 1$. Definitely worth buying.
