is this used for turnigy 9g servo????
 MayhemNKMC 293 points
These are replacment gears for the Hextronic HTX-900, although they may fit the turnigy servo just fine, its not what they are for.

I just got a set of these from the US warehouse and they came in white. I bought them to replace the gears in a few RC Timer TS-9018 servos I had laying around. Was a bit nervous at first as I didn't know whether they'd fit or not, but they do. Win!
 MayhemNKMC 293 points
Epic winning!

I want to buy also HXT500-G and HXT900-G from DE Warehouse. Why this is not possible?
 Santhosh_r 267 points
Because they may not pass the quality laws in Europe
 simon.castle 512 points
especially as they are now black, why are they selling these when they have cone back to white on the servos themselves after customer pressure, just got a set delivered 23/4/2013 in black.
arjen  122 points - 3/30/2013

Mar11 ,

i checked all my white spare gears ( as HK is back to white ) and all have teeth .

 Mar11 2113 points
thanks arjen ! many thanks i already ordered 6 of them
Mar11  2113 points - 3/13/2013

guys did anyone try those.. casue people are saying that the so called pinion is having no teeth .. is that true.. the picture is somehow proving the the same !
 tractor 127 points
mine are the white ones, I have bought over 20 sets and never had a problem. I will probably buy 10 more this year. I abuse these servos realy realy bad, but change the gears and they are ready to go again. I have been told that the black gears are stronger but I have not had the chance to test them out yet.
 Mar11 2113 points
Can i only buy the upper gear? Not the whole set? :-)
 tractor 127 points
No. They are laid out as they go in the servo except lower left is turned over. When placing an order I scroll down to the freight options and see how much I have left before going up the next price increment then add these (5 grams) and other light items to get the most from my shipping money. I use the ems option because it seems to get here much faster.
 Mar11 2113 points
I did the samething...but now i ordered an extra 6
 tractor 127 points
oops, the lower left gear is not turned over, my bad.
UniseV  17 points - 10/24/2012

Why thoses are not carbon gear ?
 MayhemNKMC 293 points
They probably will be soon, I imagine they are just selling out their existing stock.
 Waiora_protuner 31 points
Old stock perhaps?
 whiskey29 79 points
Are you sure new ones are carbon? The look like black pastiche instead.
 HellyFlyer 1257 points
Old stock go for these better than the carbon ones
 NewToHobbyKing 7072 points
Guys settle down!!! Look at the price. These are cheap gears, for a cheap fix. You can find Carbon Fiber gears else where. Tare!
 Mar11 2113 points
guys so which are the better the white or the black oneas ?
thanks !
Kiwi_fulla  275 points - 7/17/2012

do they sell Metal Gear Kits for these? I have fitted my metal gears out of a TGY90s servo and they all are identical (except are metal) .... only the output shaft gear is not right as there is no bearing on the HXT900. I changed the top cover off the TGY90S and all is now a metal gear servo .... much smoother too
 Napstr 707 points
As the original gears are plastic and seem to be quite hardy so most applications don't need the metal gears I don't see them coming up with a replacement metal gear set anytime soon.
 Kiwi_fulla 275 points
The plastic gears are useless after a crash.... metal is much better and reliable and less susceptible to wear and sloppiness
 David 2 points
They dont sell any metal gears of that type of servo but u can always ask at the support center just maybe there is one set out there that we dont know of
 HellyFlyer 1257 points
nope not for HXT900
 HoverTime 34 points
I would just upgrade to the D05010MG 5.7g / .61kg / .07sec Digital Metal for 6.99 it's a lot better. I also used the HXT900 and the gears are just not hard enough now I ended up ordering the D05010MG and the delivery time drives me nuts. But they are good for spares.

Will these work on Towerpro SG90 servos?
 SammyC 81 points
They are supposed to be identical servos, so yes

Yes these are great although I have never used them as the orignal never strip LOL
 MetalCowboy 81 points
Was there a question?
I´ve used a couple of these, first one after my son dropped the airplane "ass-down" in the floor stripping the gear.
Took me 5 hours to fix the aircraft and 5 minutes to replace the gears.
 Tadeas 1 points
Good set but routing change of control linkage is better way how to avoid the gear damage. In many cases the linkage is lead at bottom of wing {especially on airplanes with wings at the bottom of fuselage}. Hard landing can cause the contact of the linkage with earth/concrete/hard grass and breakage teeth of gears. I resolved that by routing linkages on upper side of wing (it concerns mainly ailerons, sometimes flaps). It does not look very originally but you can avoid the servos malfunction.

i got some of these, and recently I stripped one set after a blowover on my boat. The replacement gears fit nicely and it's very easy to change. Very good value. Highly recommended.
 Mariusz 12 points
gears very well made, fits perfectly replace

Can I use this as replacement for Turnigy TG9 servo?
 munsaf 293 points
yes but this gears is not completely fit in tg9 servo if you fit these gears on tg9 your screws is not complitly tiet if you lose your screw the servo is working well but these gears also completely fit in tg9e servo
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 HellyFlyer 1257 points
no these gears will not work well this servo as you can't completely tighten the servo box which is very dangerous for the model
 hobbybest 1 points
this replacement gear set is for HXT900 servos.I think that this gears may not completely fit Turnigy TG9 servo.
victorhm7  15 points - 3/5/2011

This fits in a Turnigy TG9e?
 JoeHeli 85 points
Yes they will fit it and the tower pro SG90
 Lanell 193 points
some parts may fit.
 GeniolocoSinCura 89 points
con este conjunto de engranajes se pueden reparar los servos esky digital, pero por el costo, usted podrĂa intentar comprar un juego de esto para tratar de reparar el servo
 HellyFlyer 1257 points
Yes it does.
 PeTroK 12 points
I never tried, but is so cheap that is possible to buy and if it don't fits on the servo, just let and save it for another different servo.
 RAFABIANCHINI 30 points
Yes, are the same.
 tommo85 142 points
From what I have read others say in the forum some time ago, the HXT900 and TG9e, are exactly the same servo. Except the TG9e didn't last as long under stress test. Apart from that, they are physically identical. So yes, this gear set should work in a TG9e servo
 Pedro G. 184 points
yes, its fit perfectly
 Harri_s 29 points
Yes it does. I have used these gears on TG9e. They are exact fit.
 Serzhant 56 points
Yes, are the same
 Tony Kwan 4 points
I think not the same as TG9e .....
 Vasco 12 points
perfect thanks HK
 Shura 122 points
Yes, are the same
 Adri-Gja 11 points
yes, you can use without problems
 David 46 points
Did someone let a talking parrot loose in here?
 Azami 2 points
Which is thru? Can fix at TG9e servo or not? Some say yes, but some says no.
 Harri_s 29 points
Yes you can. I have done it several times on my HK450GT cyclic servos. These gears fit tg9e.

buyed some of this and its very usefull
 Kenneth Ablack 220 points
Excellent price for these gears and even more excellent price for the HXT 900 servos. These gears will ensure that yout HXT 900 servos are around for a very long time.
 Kenneth Ablack 220 points
Excellent replacement gears and excellent price too!!!

good buy great for those servos whos been in a heli crash
 David 46 points
"BUYED" ???
stgram12  48 points - 12/22/2009

Does anybody else thinks that paying 0.89 cents for 4 wheels is too much? I just find not normal, i would suppose price of around 0.3-0.4 dollars.
 fats flyer 104 points
It's cheaper than buying a new servo.
Also , look on the bright side, you'll gain a bit more experience knowing how to fix the servo.
Also, while you have it open, you can reset the servo gears to how you want them so you can zero the trims on your transmitter
 cdis2 91 points
Still cheap as though, and cheaper than a new servo...
 bthanse 168 points
It is very cheap. Try bying servo gears to Futaba or other known brand.
 Rick_BRZ_RJ_CG 48 points
Tip: I've recovered three HXT900 with one kit because each HXT900 broke a different gear. Good luck! Good flights!
 David 46 points
He's right: 25c maybe!
 Egg Man 27 points
You can also fit Hextronic MG-14 or Turnigy MG-90S) metal gears in the HXT900. You need to also swap the top cap from the "doner" servo to the HXT900 because of the ball bearing on the output shaft.
benzit  14 points - 9/6/2009

Is this the whole set or just as what the picture shows ?

Thanks
 stgram12 48 points
What do you mean by saying the whole set?
This is only the 4 pieces for the gear set!
 Rick_BRZ_RJ_CG 48 points
In this set there are only four gears of the HXT900 servo, but, i've recovered three HXT900 with this set because each HXT900 broke a different gear. Good luck! Good flights!

 fats flyer 104 points
yes ,same servo,different branding
 Harri_s 29 points
Also fits TG9e.
 munsaf 293 points
yes but this gears is not completely fit in tg9 servo if you fit these gears on tg9 your screws is not complitly tiet if you lose your screw the servo is working well but these gears also completely fit in tg9e servo

Does anybody have advice for how to press fit on the top main gear? I find it is very tight and I am unable to get it on all of the way and tightening the case down on it seems to cause some binding (torque is reduced).
 Beaufighter 1808 points
Use a drill press or some other kind of vise (a vise and some small washers usually works). Plastic gears don't take heat very well, so pressing by force is the only way. Do not use servo if you have some binding like you say you have, the servo may be taking more amps than it can handle (and more than your BEC can supply, causing RX to stop working)
 Burnaby 529 points
Put in top gear as far as it'll go, then turn upside down onto flat surface and push straight down till the gear either goes in or breaks. If it breaks likely a mfr defeat in which case better to throw away a 3.50 part then risk a crash.
 Burnaby 529 points
Also make sure the spindle is clean, then add bit of gear grease before inserting, then push real hard.
 David 46 points

I've buyied it by way of precaution. And I advise people to have at least one of this replacement gear set. You never know when you will need it. It seems to be very robust this servo. If the assembly time is about 5 minutos, it is a worthwhile buying.

I have several dozen HXT900s on my planes. I've really only stripped the gears one time and it was in the hanger on my Clik! XL clone. And this was from hanger rash. I had the gears replaced in FIVE MINUTES! Thanks for a great product, UH! Err, uh...Hobby City!

Replacing these gears is really simple to do.
I did it in less than 5 minutes.
Worth the price. After replacing the gears the servo work like a new one.

It's only takes minutes to replace the gears and than you have brand new HXT900 for only 1$.
Definitely worth buying.
