hi, n°* of poles? i need to setting my esc, thanks, Carlo
 magnusEl 1214 points
If you count how many magnets there is in the can, thats the number your after. I just guessing here, it probably is a 12 toothe stator and with 14 magnets (poles). High timing is normaly used with outrunners with many poles.

I am new to electrics motors i have order this motor and it comes with 3 black wires how do i tell which wire is which
 morphine 407 points
Hi mardio! It does not matter which wires are which and I will tell you why. Any 3 wires can be hooked up to your speed controller in any order. If your motor runs backwards simply switch any two wires! Easy
 yappa 16 points
you have to conect the 3 wires to the esc, then turn on. If the rotation is Ok thats all if not disconect and conect in diferent order. This is an excelnt motor. I have it in a 2.1 Kg trainer whit a 60 amp esc.

what size ESC is right for this motor with 3s 2200 mah lipo?
 morphine 407 points
Gerald that depends on the power system combo you choose to use. 3s 2200 ok got that but now you must decide which prop size to use. Remember that the amp rating is 30amps on a 3s.

Could anyone tell me the break down in the Dimmensions of this motor?
My stock motor on my E-flite Apprentice is plastic and cheap.
Dimmensions are approximately-
Motor housing=50mm (1.96in)
Protruding shaft=12mm (.472in)
Overall=62mm (2.51in).

anything shorter may not work...
Anyone have any ideas or recommendations?

3 thumbs up!
bargain outrunner, nice power and the spec is the same as the hacker a30-10xl so good for using on the motor calculators. slightly noisier than the hacker and torque motors, and the finish is no where near as good, but 4 stars for this as its a good price.

1 thumbs up!
Excellent motor for planes like the Sebart Sukhoi 29 30e with 3s lipos and 13x3,6 or 14x7 APC prop. it has enough power to pull the plane out of a torque roll. 5 minutes flight time with 2200mah 3s zippy and just 1600 mah consumed.

1 thumbs up!
I really like the color scheme and that's where it ends. Put the motor in an Acromaster with a 11X7 prop. Did a test run-up and noted a heavy vibration above half throttle. I rebalanced everything to no avail. Took the motor out and noticed one of the magnets had slipped forward and appeared loose. Took the can off and found 3 loose magnets. Put it back together and it still vibrated. Took it apart again and found that the 5mm shaft was bent. This motor has never been flown.

Also noted that the bearings were loose fitting and the windings were loosly wrapped. No more KD's for me.
