Do you need to drill holes yourself and how do I attach the wheels to the landing gear? Is there any special item that I need to buy from HobbyKing, can you guys link me to what I need? Thanks!!
Yes you need to dtrill the holes. For attachment of the weels I used ordinary srews and nyloc nuts. Secured the srew against the corbonfiber with one nut then attached the weel and then secured the weel with anoter nut. You culd add a few washers inbetween if its nessecery. I put his on GWS E-starter and it's perfect.
Happy flying.
Yes, I put this on my Estarter and its a perfect match. Modified the plane a bit and put a pice of plywood to attach them to. I also use 30mm foam weels. U can't go wrong with these!!

7 thumbs up!
Landing gear is very good quality. I will try to use it on the acromaster (1100 gr), see if it is strong enough, but it is stronger than the original acromaster landing gear for sure. There is a little difference between the left and the right leg, they are not fully symmetrical and I got two left ones (or right ones). But difference is too little to send them back. But that is the reason I give 4 stars i.o. 5, and UH please pay attention to this for the next buyer.

These fit perfectly on Hyperion 10e sized planes to replace heavy original aluminium landing gear or floppy wire gears.

These things are very small. I was looking for something to go on my 300 size park flyer (36 inch wingspan) and they are way smaller than could be used with that. Maybe you could use them on a small micro plane. The bottom of the leg where the wheels would attach would need a very small axle/bolt to make it work. I would say it was no wider than 1/4 inch.

Fits perfect to my X-Free (EPP-flyer, 100 cm wingspan, AXI 2808/24, approx. > 600 g). Weight is only 11.7 g (not 12.5 as shown), width at the wheel axis is 10 mm. Surface is in a good quality (not perfect polished) but carbon fiber is visible and you can see they build it up in the correct way. Edges are smoothed so there is no need for additional work before using. No holes, so you can decide by your own where to drill to mount it.
Static and dynamic strenght is very good and also suitable for heavier models. If your model wheigt is less 450 g it might be better to increase flexibility by sanding the inner side of the gear.
Conclusion: If you want to have a carbon fiber gear for a very good price: buy it! Stefan_L 2007-12-01

I have mounted it on a little .25 3D model designed by myself. It is extremely lightweight and strong.
