Just wondering what the exact diameter of the base of the collet adapter itself is. Reason I need this info is I'm hoping to replace the collet on this with one of mine which fits a 5mm motor shaft. (Of course this is assuming that the collet on this is NOT "built in" but rather can be removed.)

I've been having a heck of a time finding a spinner this size (30 to 32mm) that can fit a 5mm motor. As we all know this size of spinner is commonly made to fit 3 to 3.2mm shafts so I'm hoping that I can adapt this one for my needs.

I'm guessing that the base of this collet adapter is probably smaller than mine and so I may have to drill out the actual hole in the back plate itself to substitute it with mine.

Thanks!

Lo pregunto de otra forma...qué dimensiones tiene de diametro y largo? No entiendo eso de D30XH30.

I don't understand the meaning of D30 x H33...Is it the diameter an the Height in milimeters?

D30 quiere decir diametro de 30mm (D=diameter)
y H30 quiere decir (H=height) Height = 30mm.

10 thumbs up!
this spinner looks really nice and works very well for 3.0mm shaft motors. unfortunately, i have an inrunner with a 3.17mm shaft. i tried to adapt the collet for the larger shaft but it did not work. turns out that you can get the "Dubro 3.17mm Collet 1 1/4" Electric Spinner", which fits this spinner perfectly!

5 thumbs up!
The spinner actually *does* fit a 3.175mm shaft if you pull the collet out of the backplate and push it onto the shaft before pushing the backplate back on. I have these mounted on a pair of Turnigy 2209/28s in a twin. Had to open the spinner cone to fit the 8x6Es. They run true still, and pull about 110W.

5 thumbs up!
These are very nice spinners - and an incredible buy given the price!
The largest prop I could fit in the 30mm spinner was an APC 6x4E. I also tried APC 7x5E, 8x4E, 8x6E, and APC 10x4.7SF which did not fit.

3 thumbs up!
Very light, nice and shiny chrome finish. Fits 3mm shaft well, 3.2mm shaft requires force to get it on.

Cone is not completely round at base (maybe shipping damage), fits poorly with overhang around the plate.

Cone had a lot of aluminum flash around the prop cutouts. I had to file away at the ruff and sharp edges. The bottom of the cone also had razor sharp edges.

Quality cannot compare to MPJ spinners.

2 thumbs up!
The example I received was flawless, and the spinner was a press-fit on the hub. Beautifully made and finished, with no flashing. It's a perfect match to my Cermark New Timer's front-end, after I destroyed the original Cermark spinner when attempting to drill-out its smaller collet. The collet on this product is much more reasonably sized to fit the more common 3mm shaft size. As previously stated, it requires a bit of a push to get it on a 3.2mm shaft.
