Looking at using this mount for an ASP S.91A on a SPAD that I'm building. Will it mount on a 2.5 inch by 2.5 inch firewall? (The size of square gutter pipe I'm using)
The determining factor is the fit of the engine between the rails of the mount I currently fly a Saito FS82a on this mount - that is 1.5 hp motor tht is the equivalent of most production 90 four strokes output. My choice of props range from 13x8 to 15x6 depending on what how I am flying the aircraft. The mount has withstood the torque out put of a motor spinning the larger prop over 10K rpm in the air, and rough landings, and a couple of broken props while attemping to land in gusting cross winds. I have been using my original mount for over a year withou and problems. Hope this helps you.
Solid and reliable mount. Perfect for this price. I mounted it on my Graupner Yak 11 with OS 120 FS III engine.

These mounts are great value - appear to be the same as the mounts the come with Great Planes kits (and they are excellent). My last installation was with and OS 75 AX, inverted with a Slimline Pitts muffler in a Blackhouse Chipmunk. All mounting screws provided - highly recommended. I always have a couple on hand.
