What do people think about using these on a 2.5kg Stick 1500? Or is that really too much?
 Senator315 529 points
Yeah I'd say it's too much unless you could somehow mount 4 of them. you also have to consider when your landing you will put more than 2.5kg on them unless your awesome and can land smooth and gentle all the time. I use 4 of them with 1.5kg weight and so far so good.

Great, thanks for the reply. I'll go for the big aluminium ones instead.

If I make these warm with a blow torch, will the plastic bend or will it melt to easy? I need to change how the mounting holes fit as i want to fit these on my electric shock
 Dongskie 228 points
If you regulate the distance and heat intensity yes you can bend it to your desire, when you get to that angle, dip in a bucket of water to keep that angle and cool down the item.

how do i attach wheels to this?
 Tassadar 73 points
Use a bolt and a nut or improvise like me www.link the link is hidden, see the pictures in my profile.
 Tassadar 73 points
www.link at hobbyking-dot-com
 Aragorn 50 points
You will need the "Steel Wheel Axle". Then attach the wheels. Look this (remove the 2 spaces on the link): ***********hobby king****/hobby king/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=23903

Can this work on a Multiplex Fun Cub?
 Kardan 25 points
it can work on anything if you can place it well. but have in mind that these legs arent very light so I wouldnt recommend for model under 1kg and it need to be screwed on balsa wood for example (it would rip from foam)

whar is the height of the plane when connect this ?
 Dongskie 228 points
It will add approximately 90mm to 110mm depending on the diameter of the wheels you have. Happy Flying!

How do you fasten an axle to the feet. They are horizontal?
 Dongskie 228 points
There are dimples on the feet area where you can drill holes depending on the size of the axle you have. The horizontal placement would depend on the condition of the mounting surface where you will mount the upper part. Without load it will bend down like a VW Beetle's rear suspension, but with load it will level down horizontally, of course depending on the weight of your plane :-) And btw these are very strong. Happy Flying!

After I looked at the landing gear again I noticed it fastens to the bottom of the wing and not on the side of the plane which would then have where the axles go be in the proper orientation. Thank you for the reply.
 Dongskie 228 points
Yes at the bottom of the wing if your plane has a low-wing configuration.

what wheels suit these undercarriage
 Awni 164 points
any wheels can fit those undercarriage, you just need to drill it, mount the wheel and you are good to go.

 Gavin 6 points
Its quite a small u/c set and will suit 20mm wheels max. The feet are horizontal so it is difficult to fit axles.
 Dongskie 228 points
Any wheels as long as you have the matching axle for the wheel. Happy shopping!
 FERNANDO 7 points
Tenho usado sem problemas, e muito leve e facil de instalar. Preço baixo, otimo produto, recomendo. Fernando Millian.

What is the size of the holes at the top and bottom
 Awni 164 points
There are not holes, only grooves which you can drill a hole through.
 cr8tive_leo 177 points
they are guide holes, you can dremel/drill the size you want. These are very good, I use them on all the trainers I build for friends, no issues.

No holes yet, those are guides where you can drill holes. Good luck!

what is the height of this landing gear?
 OldFartFlyer 1319 points
The effective height is 100mm. The vertical distance from the bottom fuselage mounting plate to the axle shafts fitted after drilling is 100mm after the gear has been mounted in position. So add 100 to half the diameter of your wheels and you will have the precise height of the bottom of your fuselage above the ground when the aircraft is level.

These are great. I have three pair now.

What is the model weight indicated for this Reinforced Plastic Undercarriage?
 numbers guy 7 points
i'm using these on a 17 oz built-up balsa plane, and no problems to date.
 nismo 252 points
i need about 15-20 sets, when will they be back in stock
 nismo 252 points
* Rolf Junior These are the same landing gear that come on our 1m balsa katana's with a AUW of 1000-1100grams they work great, deffinetly strong enough for 1kg plane's, They do break on heavy landing's but so do carbon fiber landing gear, It's better for the gear to break away rather than the bottom of your fuselage, think about it what would you rather replace a $1.39 set of landing gear or fix the fuselage mount when it gets torn out of the fuselage, They only break on heavy landings

4 thumbs up!
These are definitely strong gear and will likely outlive quite a few models before you retire them. In fact, you may never retire them because they are that strong. Unfortunately, that strength comes with a downside and that's weight. These guys are 12 grams for each leg or 24 grams total. And that's without wheels or any type of mounting fastner. Also of note is that these gear don't come with any supplied hardware - just the two black legs. I'm not saying to avoid them I just don't think they're appropriate for smaller 150 gram craft.

today i installed these on my cleverboy electric plane, any of you lucky enough to have one of these planes will know that the stock landing gear is rubbish, i have flown this plane for over a year and i kept buying the same horrible gear, but then i found these, they look alot nicer, there hell of alot stronger and not much of a difference in weight, if you want a pair of landing gear that looks absolutly great and works flautlesly then get these, you wont go wrong

2 thumbs up!
Nice gear, easy to mount and good quality. I use it on a GWS FW190. Ok, it's not scale, but better than the original gear which broke out after a few landings.

I have fitted these to my Precision Airobatics Addiction and they fit perfect, much stronger than PC's carbon Fibre undercarage and the perfect replacement
