Hi guys, I need to know it this comes with any kind of plug, that I connect on the Rudder, so it will turn with it. Thanks!
 David 48 points
so it will turn with it: Yes but you need some screews
 Aaron 2 points
Plug, no. It is not actually powered but mechanical. If you look under the files, you will see a couple different installation diagrams showing you several ways on how to make it work with the rudder, so that when the rudder is moved, it will also turn the wheel.

Hi, is there anyone that can show me a few pics or schema of what is the best way to mount this? Some questions: To fit it correctly into my airplane should I bend the 55 mm wire to have the correct angle? (size based on the Jhon-Jhon schema http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uploads/391
992796X100667X5.pdf)
Should I add a "fin" in the bottom of the plane to support the tail wheel at a correct angle? The "long" wire (55 mm) must always be parallel to the rudder, right? Should the "long" wire be glued inside the rudder? Thanks
 Hussain Joharji 204 points
Hello..sorry i dont have pics.. if the rudder u have an angle so, u can bend the 55mm wire to that angle(yes u can glue it OR u can bend a small part to fit it inside the rudder) NO, u dont need a fin because it have a screw to fitting on a plane.. yes it could be straight if the rudder is straight .. i hope this help you .. Best Regards
 OldFartFlyer 1319 points
There are two main ways to apply this fitting. First, in line with hinge axis of rudder. Mount so that wire shaft is in line with hinges and trim off excess or bend to right angle and insert into rudder to turn wheel. If trimmed right back, use control arm in line with bottom of rudder. Insert a pin in the rudder which will fit through the arm and turn the wheel. Second, mount assembly as convenient and trim off excess shaft wire after mounting the control arm to act as a horn. Carry a sna

lpinho, happy to see that my drawing are useful, As Hussain and Oldfartflyer suggest, I did a few schema of installation for you, the file is " example to install", I will delete after. If the pivot are not align, better a pin instead of a "fin", because the pin need to slide in the slot of the bracket. Hope it help you!

I would like to thank you all for the replies. For a rookie like myself there's nothing like a schema, thanks for the installation guide Jhon-Jhon

WOW Jhon-Jhon! you are way above and beyond "best answer!"

Does the wire pin sit securely in the plastic housing or is it a very loose fit? It appears to allow a large air gap.
 Hussain Joharji 204 points
Hello,, Yes it sits securely.. If you can see the upper plastic catch the wire pin by The Small Hex-Screw...In advice buy one package of Hex-Screw and its screw-driver for safety(if will be wear per time..)

Hope this help..
Best Regards

 OldFartFlyer 1319 points
If it were a firm fitting, the resistance to rotation would hinder servo operation. I would call it a bit sloppy. Careful adjustment of the fitting will prevent this from being a big issue. If it does present a problem, fill the shaft with epoxy and redrill to exact spec when set - no more wobbles then! Alternatively, drill out oversize and glue in some teflon tubing as a bushing.

Will this be ok for the epp fpv 1.8m glider ?
 Frank_E 4 points
spring is strong so could on almost every plane if it is not to heavy. My wheel is fitted on a wooden plane that weight 1kg with gas engine.
 Antonio 31 points
Yes i'm using it on my spitfire with 1.5 kg.
 OldFartFlyer 1319 points
Yes, 2mm wire quite firm.

Hola, compre un patin de cola pero necesito la llave para la tuerca, ustedes la venden? Gracias
 OldFartFlyer 1319 points
If you wish, you could allow it to free wheel using a castor effect. Better to use the arm and connect to rudder servo.

no ETA still on this one - is it worth waiting for?? been on my wishlist for quite some time
 DennisT1 162 points
It is a nicely made device* I like the design better than what I could find locally. On the other hand, waiting is dreadful to me - I'm an impatient sort. HKs hardware is so much more reasonable that I try to keep a supply on hand before I need it - that way I'm not waiting.

Would this fit on a radian (a sailplane/powered glider) with a 2 meter wingpsan (6 foot wingspan)
 Blesson 9 points
Yes it can fit in as long as its a powered glider or a sailplane, the only thing you got to take care is the centre of gravity cos wingspan of 2 meter long may give you very good aspect ratio but will definitely cause problems if they aren't properly connected at centre of gravity with respect to the landing gear.

This one is situable to planes 40 to 60 (glow) size.
Too big for planes/foamies that don´t reach 1,2m of fuselage.

 ujvicsek 12 points
1:1 is not large. But 1:1.5 size.
 Lion18 3 points
This Tail Wheel Assembly fit perfect on a airplane like the Minimag for example. So for all the airplanes comparable to this one as well.
 Sumeet 159 points
Absolutely Correct. I received one last week and seems 1:1 really.
 Jhon-Jhon 132 points
I put a drawing in the "FILES" that you can print 1:1

 Piotrek9932 11 points
what dose it mean "proktichny" ?
 Gary 9 points
Yes,is currently being used by a couple off pattern pilots on their 2m planes. Excellent value
 Piotrek9932 11 points
Great thanks *)
 Mauritius 20 points
yes, just screw the flat arm (on the right on this picture)to the tail
 AVKIB 9 points
The wheel is steerable. you need a servo to steer the arm.
 Sumeet 159 points
I too wanted to know...
 Piotrek9932 11 points
Yes, it is. Thanks guys for your replays :)
 Bongose 80 points
yes, if you connect it directly to your rudder
 Juan P 7 points
Yes it is . the part facing to the rear of the wheel, i.e the straight piece goes to bottom of the rudder - rudder has a pin ( I make a pin from spring steel that I put into rudder ) . This is the only tail wheel assembly that I use on my 2X2 F3a planes

Been waiting over two months for this item! What do they mean by "Stock updated frequently"?
 alexandre 21 points
Me too, actually been 3 months. This wait is way too long, they really could change that to, we receive 2 orders a year...
 fastfreddy 16 points
Thanks Alex, the plush 40A ESC has finally come in, now my whole order is waiting for this *** Tail Wheel! Is any one else listening?
 SZannis 18 points
The tail wheel assembly is in stock now. I have ordered some already. When they say that stock is updated regularly it means that the goods are coming in according to demand and the time that is required for them to be available depends on the number of orders. They also update the days that remain until they become available.

Yes it could but it's a bit large for that application.
 Jhon-Jhon 132 points
There some dimension, you can print www.link

Very nice, high quality, wheel is 30mm diam. Bought this to replace the useless stock tail wheel on my GWS Slow Stick. This is a lot heavier, maybe 15g, but it's the perfect size and works great.
