how can i get readings of RH values out of this sensor ????
Durbz  18 points - 3/13/2013

Hey when will this product be available?????? waiting eagerly....
hardrain  4 points - 12/25/2012

I got it working! It is a simple humidity sensor with a setpoint threshold. It measures Ambient Humidity in the 20 ~ 95% RH range. The digital output comes up when the analog value goes above the level set by the small potentiometer. The 20 ~ 95% value is reversed (the value increases as the humidity decreases) and must be scaled. I'm goig to see if I'm able to post a sample code...
 hardrain 4 points
Ok, the test code is in the "Files" section ot this page. Now we have just to do the reversing and the scaling to add humidity reading to an Arduino project :)

Thanks for doing the hard work hardrain! I appreciate it.

For a long time looking Shield K-type Thermocouple .. There is a cool option - oceancontrols****.au/KTA-259.html But for me, it is not appropriate because of the huge size. I need to remove 4.6 of temperatures from 300 to 960 degrees. All repeat similar structures and no one has done such a multiplexer on the site. The design is repeatable in size under the Nano. Manufacturer can make a variety of boards and will release a version of a K-type Thermocouple ..

site does not make reference to stick (and sometimes it is necessary for the proper link will open in the correct cAm, the address and putting on the point) ... oceancontrols.cAm, au/KTA-259.html

Hi Guys, do you know when this product will be really available? I am waiting since the 23/10/2012 and until now, there isn't in stock. Do you have any useful information about it? Thanks a lot.

Hello, I have the same problem. This is the Hobby King's answer: Sorry for the inconvenience. Goods will be arrived within 45 days. Would you like to remove these back order or wait for a longer time? Please advise me. Thanks for emailing support. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Regards. A month waiting...

This looks like DHT11.. DHT22 has a much wider temperature range and is much more accurate.. fleabay has those sensors for super cheap FYI.

Was just wondering if anyone had got any useful info out of this sensor, or had found out what sensor this actually uses. I'm getting an analogue reading that changes with temp, but until I get some specs I don't know what voltage corresponds with what temp. And how to access humidity?

who needs a sensor like this? wannabe weathermen or sauna stalkers?
 Arakic 19 points
People like me:) For some home and garden DIY electronics, robots, etc...
 sfactor1 947 points
so u use an automated temp and humidity sensor for your grow room....er...i mean green house? i know u can put this in a robot. i thought that would be the primary use but, what is the primary function of the robot (all rc vehicles are in a sense robots)? volcano hunting? lol
 sfactor1 947 points
i wonder what kind of temps and humidity conditions (and for how long will it survive) this is made for since its not sealed in a protective housing?
 dhruv 103 points
You can seal it yourself.Just not the blue thing.

From what I can see this board have only one digital and one analog output, how can it have both a temperature and a humidity sensor?
 HaCKaMaC 31 points
It looks as it could be based on the DHT11 sensor. If that's the case, it uses single wire two way serial communication. So no problems transmitting several values.

HaCKaMaC, That's true for digital signal. However, how can an analog signal be sent using a single data wire ?
 HaCKaMaC 31 points
Don't what's the case here. But analog value vs common ground for a single signal and multiplexing for more signals is possible.
 adelante 17 points

Great!I wanted sensors to use with the Arduino board I was planning to buy.Looks like HK has telepathy connections with good customers :).

a good customer from the point of view of hobbyking staff? never give a truthful review, don't point out any flaws with new products, and always say "sir" before and after you say anything to any of the moderators.

Buy alot of stuff :-D

I am waiting for arduino-sensors and LCDs as well, but this temp-sensor is useless for me.
Gimme ultrasonic-sensors and motordriver shields and motors with encoder soon HK!
 dhruv 103 points
I totally agree with you.Ultras will be cool!

If I'm correct this is only humidity sensor, something like HR-202. If I'm wrong, could anyone post at least ID of this sensor? I've spent 2 days looking for arduino code for DHT 11, but it never worked. And appears that it is different product and description is wrong - this sensor can't measure temperature.
