Hi i am new to this can any body tell if this is ok to connect gps/bar/mag/to a fc through I2c and if so where can i get wiring diagrams as where to wire to and what leads do i need. thank you

Can you use this board to interface the sonar module to the AIOP board via I2C port? Thanks.
 Kitan 130 points
This board has no electronics. It plugs into arduino UNO board. It's just layout of arduino pins that is easier to wire to sensors and other things. So if you have arduino, you could connect I2C device to this just as you can to arduino. Please award credits if I helped.

Will this work with Arduino Mega 2560 Microcontroller Board for sensors and GPS support? Many thanks.
 Kitan 130 points
It won't fit perfectly, it's made for arduino UNO like boards. You could wire required pins to this shield, but then it's just easier to wire pins directly to sensors. It's only different layout of pins, but same pins as arduino board. Please award credits if I helped.

At a glance.. With that many servo channels, You might be able to use it to build a Hexapod perhaps.
 GiuseppeNL 48 points
yes it is, an hexapod requires 3*6=18 servo just to move. not bad shield this one, but defenitely unadvisable to fly.

Does any one know if this board can supply the current for the 32 servo? or it's taking the current from the Arduino Uno? I have the Uno and it almost burning while trying to drive 3 blue 9g servo

This Board supplys nothing! Its only for connecting Sensors, Bluetooth, APM220 and so on to the Arduino. Very Useful for Somone, but not for anyone!
 daniel 373 points
I disagree. I just got mine in today and the two screw terminals are a direct feed to the servos and the arduino before the regulator. I had the same problem as you and got it. Supplys unregulated power to servos.
 GiuseppeNL 48 points
Are you supposed to use the 3 servo wires or the signal (often white) one?

Please can someone explain me briefly the function of this thing and where it can be used? Thanks in advance.

Not exactly. You can connect anything to it. Gives a positive and a negative set for any input(servo, sensor, mosfet,ect....) And even display it on an LCD. Good I/O shield.

With all my loyalty to HK it's too expensive. Nano's and Mega's prices are superb.

Sry for the stupid question but what does it do exactly?
 Bradley 6 points
This board allows you to hook up like GPS,Magnometers, Airflow sensor, 3axis gyros, and also use the Arduino Mega to control autoflights and other things. If you have a Arduino board then this allows you to hook up all the sensors you want to it.

Dommage qu'il n'y ait aucun schéma. Quel est le brochage de LCD parallèle, LCD série, , SD, URF01, ... ?

Got mine in yesterday. I love it! Good solder work. All works fine. The two screw terminals power the adruino and supply unregulated voltage to the servo/sensor ports. Be careful not to plug your arduino into your computer with the external power supply connected and the power jumper in place. Tripped my computers psu.
